4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice monitor

Pros: This monitor is sleek and professional in appearance, and overall is a good value.

Cons: Had some issues adjusting color schemes - the monitor appeared to be factory-calibrated toward a green-tinged color output. When connected with an Apple MacBook Pro, the difference was striking and rather frustrating. The best solution (still not perfect, but good enough) was to set the color profile on the monitor to SRGB and select the SRGB color profile for the output from the MacBook Pro. The colors are still slightly off but it is only noticeable with certain tones when both images are examined.

Other Thoughts: I also have a 24" model from KDS - none of the above issues but it has a finnicky power button: turns on just fine but requires firm centered pressure to power off. Both monitors look great on the desk, good performance, etc.

1 out of 5 eggsavoid this absolutely

Pros: None

Cons: The power went off after 2 minutes, press the power button it sometimes came back for another 1 minute, then went off again. now it's all dark. It's a death-on-arrival. I don't blame newsegg. I bought it from Buy-dig and it charges 10% restocking plus shipping, I need spend $50 for a broken product. I bought it because saw good reviews here, now further googling showed KDS is not a good brand at all, avoid it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for the price

Pros: Great size, good picture, lots of input choices

Cons: Monitor stand doesn't always keep the monitor at the right tilt. Power light cover pushes in, but no effect to function.

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these when I was building my sons systems and decided to get one for myself. Ok so here is the scoop, unless you are a video phile you will probably be fine with the picture quality. Great for WoW and such. I got these so my sons would basically have a full entertainment system when they head off to college. With this monitor all you need is a tuner card and you can watch cable, dvd's, youtube, you name it. So if you are looking for a decent monitor at a great price this is you guy. Otherwise you might want to look at some of the 24" for crisper image or video phile quality.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat large Monitor

Pros: Nice large display. No dead to stuck pixels that I can see.

Cons: The stand did not attach properly to the bottom, so the monitor droops forward. I had to prop it up. (-1 egg)

Other Thoughts: I didn't no you could get such a nice large monitor for this great of a deal. i would buy it again.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: I purchased this for gaming. I moved up from a Chimei 22" LCD. Without a doubt the colors and font are crisper on this monitor. I play COD WAW, Crysis, Quake 4 UT and many other FPS games, they all play flawlessly and look much better than the Chimei. I tried hard to find discepencies listed by others and cannot. The blacks look good and the colors appear to be what you'd expect, ie the apple is red if you get my meaning. As for the menu, I had no problems navigating it.

Cons: Some say for the money you can't go wrong. I say if you spend more on another 24 to 26" monitor your paying for bragging rights, but to each their own.
The stand is solid but could use a larger foot print for a bit more stability but it's not as if the monitor is going to fall. I wouldn't want someone to bump into it though.

Other Thoughts: Purchased Wed at 1700, arrived Fri at 1600. Way to go New Egg. I had second thoughts after I toggled the purchase key. Glad I didn't change my mind.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing monitor, great price too

Pros: I didn't buy this monitor from Newegg, but I will tell you it is well worth the price. I owned a high end 22" Samsung before this and the KDS is overall a better monitor with a much better picture and a lot less light leakage.
- Great black levels
- Very bright (works great in brightly lit areas)
- No dead pixels
- Light leakage is minimal and you have to really be looking for it to see it
- Viewing angles are amazing (this is what I was most impressed with; the angles are as good as some of the PVA panels I have seen)

Cons: The user menu takes a little getting used to, but it is nothing that will keep you from really enjoying this monitor.
Don't pay attention to the people who say the stand is flimsy. It is a very sturdy metal stand unlike the flimsy plastic stands that most of the big companies use.
- It is pretty thick, but a lot of that is b/c it is such a large monitor and it can produce a lot of heat, so there is extra room for cooling (vents at the top)

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: This is a very LARGE monitor, so make sure you have enough room for it. It also comes with DVI, HDMI, and all the usual cables. I really like this monitor. I use it mainly for games, and they just look amazing. The stand is solid and steady.

Cons: The first monitor I got worked fine, but came with shipping damage so I RMA'd it. NewEgg got the 2d monitor out to me the same day I placed the RMA. Unfortunately the 2d monitor was DOA so I RMA'd that one and i'm waiting for the 3d monitor to come in. My only gripe is the stand. It doesn't swivel left-right and isn't height adjustable, but this monitor is so huge that it more than compensates.

Other Thoughts: This monitor is a fantastic combination of value and features (cables, stand stability, availability of DVI and HDMI) at a very low price for a 26" LCD. I would definitely recommend this monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsFreaking AWESOME monitor

Pros: Awesome picture.
Bright
High Res 1920x1200 gotta love it.
3 inputs
Speakers work
comes with more cables that you would ever need.
Metal Stand not a flimsy plastic one.
Heavy
No dead pixels

Cons: Light isant 100% even on the screen but it looks about 99% perfect.

Other Thoughts: Use this monitor for everything and its just amazing. Moved from 3 19" widescreens to this monitor and the transition was a lot easyer than i thought it would be. Would love to have another if the price drops any more than it dose. If you want a big monitor or a TV buy this screen its well worth its price.
