5 out of 5 eggsLove it!!

Pros: Image quality. Setup was a breeze. Fairly quiet.

I have this thing paired with a Navi 100" screen and looks amazing. Playing N64 Mario Kart on this thing is crazy!! Same goes for Black Ops 2 on PC.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The hardest part of the entire installation was the cheapo mount that I bought. Aligning the projector and configuring the color settings took 10min tops. And this was my first projector. Overall I'm happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!!!!

Pros: Easy set up, looks great! Two HDMI inputs very quiet.

Cons: no keystone adjustment (not a big deal if you install it correctly) puts out a little heat.

Other Thoughts: For the money, best projector out there. I've had it over a year and use it in multiple locations and everyone oo's and ah's over it everytime I set it up.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: I was in the market for a TV, but I'm all about quality. I did not want to dump $2k on a 70" LCD when in a year they will be so much better quality, so I decided on going with a Projector. I REALLY Enjoy this Projector. I really only use it at night, to watch movies, play games, or watch TV. (720p still looks very good).

Video:
The quality blew me away, and I'm using a cheap 92" screen. Even with a $150 screen, its amazing. The 60hz as opposed to 120 or 240, is nothing. I cant tell. I watch mainly blurays, but sometimes play Xbox 360 or watch Dish, which outputs at 720p. All sources look great! Night time viewing on Economy is still amazing! Watching the Dark Knight is jaw dropping. Really is....

Cons: The two cons, which are not really cons, but one, you need to have a UPS, because if the power goes out while you're watching, you WILL burn out the bulb.

Second, this thing does put out a LOT of heat. if its one person in a smaller bedroom (still a 92" screen), it isnt that bad. But more then one, it will start getting hot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat projector

Pros: Large screen with a short throw distance. At 10' 7" I'm getting a 107" screen. This projector is easy to setup even without digital keystone adjustment. As the other reviewers have stated, get the projector perpendicular with the wall first such that all edges are straight. From there it's easy to adjust the image down the wall horizontally or vertically. My projector is offset approx 3' from center and I still had room to go with the adjustment dials. My wall is dark brown and the image is exceptionally bright enough not to have to worry about a screen for a while. Great resolution on the screen - as advertised. It does not feel quite as heavy as I thought so mounting from ceiling was easy.

Cons: Takes a little longer to start up but worth the wait.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a projector for less than $1500 that is 1080P and extremely easy to set up with a tremendous amount of flexibility in horizontal and vertical image shift, get this projector, you can't beat it.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Projector iv owned

Pros: This is my first ever projector so i cant compare to other projectors. I have had it a little over a year now and have over 1500 hours on the bulb. PQ still looks fantastic as the day i bought it, i use it every day from watching movies to playing xbox 360 and ps3 to pc gaming. Its very bright and the colors and black levels still look great. I use it on a 1.1 gain 100" elite screen with a 12' throw distance

Cons: As for the cons i only have 2. First the lens shift knobs you use to line up your image are clunky, if you have massive sound system like i do then you will need to secure the vertical knob to prevent low loud base from vibrating it lose. I used some putty used for hanging posters to secure it. Second i do have 2 slightly green dust blobs on the far right edge of my picture. however you can only see them when nothing is being displayed or the image is totally black in that area. i may try to clean them once i need a new bulb. However i can live with 2 small dust spots in trade off for such a good price and a huge picture.

Other Thoughts: For new users to this projector, when setting it up make sure you level the projector with a level then use the lens shift to adjust the picture. you will get best results if you have the projector as close to center of your screen as possible ( vertical and horizontal ). if the projector is un-level you will get curved edges on the top and bottom of the image, and if it is angled you will get a trapezoid effect . I have only had one other issue but is of no fault of the projector. I have 7.2 yamaha 867 reciver with all polk speakers and (2) 12" 460 watt polk subs. I was not able to mount this projector to the wall or ceiling due to my speakers, they produce so much vibration that the image would shake and move about 2" up and down. i ended up having sit the projector on a very sturdy 8' tall stand mounted directly to the concrete floor.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a surprise! Best Christmas bonus ever spent!!

Pros: I am stunned by this projector. I didn't know having anything this nice was possible on a moderate income and this item continues to surprise. Today, for example, I was finishing up installing my surround sound system and I turned on the projector so that I could see the menu on my PS3 and play a movie to test the speakers. Expecting a barely visible picture, I was surprised that at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, with ample sunlight flooding the room, the picture from the projector still looked just as good as it does at 8 PM. How good is the picture? I have a 50' 1080p plasma television and this projector is the preferred 120' version. Everything from 500 Days of Summer, to IP Man, or Scott Pilgrim, feels like a theater experience (with Blurays, have not watched a DVD yet). I have watched other projectors over at friends' houses and I really thought the picture got blurry, especially in action sequences. Not the case here.

Cons: The only con:
1) It takes a minute or so for the projector to boot up and I have not watched certain things on the projector because I don't feel like going through the bootup time or using the energy/bulb.
2) (Unconfirmed con) This projector may not do 3-D. I was never interested in 3-D until I heard they are releasing the Star Wars movies and I will probably want to own those since I am skipping the blurays "Nooooooooooo!"
3) I expect to buy a bulb once a year, a price that makes some of my friends cringe, but after they watch a movie, they agree it's worth it.

Other Thoughts: This projector is very easy to adjust for your screen's settings. It also does not have to be places at the center of the screen. There are dials that will allow you to aim the picture without warping it. Also their measurments are very generous when referencing distance from projector to the screen. I was told that 110' would be the largest I could go but 120' sounded like a much better number so I went with that and have had no complaints, except for when viewing an older movie that I realize is the fault of the film itself, not the project.

Fair warning: I spent around $2,400 putting my whole theater room together. That included THX surround sound speakers, speaker wire, hiding the wire, projector, popcorn machine and screen.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Projector

Pros: great brightness. we have it in our living room onto a 100in framed cinawhite screen and it looks great! we do have the roomed blacked out, but even if the windows are open you can still see very well. it has great resolution in 1080p for the xbox and upconverted DVDs and such. overall a very good buy for the money!

when i was looking for a replacement for my old projector i did a LOT of reasearch and compared the stats to my brothers Panasonic, (since i knew how good his looked) and this was by far the most bang for the buck. the only difference in the Epson and my brothers $2500 panasonic is the contrast ratio Epson 50,000:1 vs 1,000,000:1...honestly, its not that much of a noticable difference in a day to day watching. you will only notice it in a very very very very dark movie setting.

very happy! glad i bought it

Cons: the bulb went out at 465 hours on me. just like that no warning, no picture just a blinking lamp light. in a furious rage i started googling and found out that the bulb had a defect from the manfcr and many people were having this issue. called epson and they replaced the bulb free of charge and even overnighted it to me. i didnt even have to argue with them or fight at all! just said okay lemme get your address. honestly i was a little mad at first, but hey defects happen, epson took care of it no problem. Great Cust Service

its slightly large, but most of them are. people stating it was noisey and hot....i have never noticed either of them.

Other Thoughts: this is by far the best bang for your buck projector. it has great stats, picture is fantastic. and for less than $1500....its the perfect choice! stop researching and buy this one!

5 out of 5 eggsA Great Projector

Pros: First off, Newegg's speed of delivery was outstanding, as usual. Had it within 2 days of ordering!

The picture quality is at the very top. The flexibility of installation and ease of use can't be beat. Installed it on the ceiling of our home theatre. I admit, I knew what to expect because my daughter put this same model in their home theatre. Have not run an HD movie on it yet, but was blown away by the picture quality of a BluRay movie on my daughter's setup. This projector is definitely the best you can get for the price.

Cons: The only disadvantage is that it is heavier than other projectors I've looked at. This can be a problem when installing on a ceiling mount, but with help from my son-in-law, it mounted fairly easily.

Other Thoughts: The preset picture modes make setup very easy. We like the Living Room mode best because it gives a bright picture with good color balance. Another nice feature is the Pattern mode, which helps a lot when setting picture size, position, and focus. Vertical and horizontal adjustment of the lens is very easy. The lens zoom adjustment has a lot of range so that you can fill your entire screen (we have a 109" diagonal screen).

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: My third projector (went from 480p, to 720p, to this 1080p). All Epson projectors. This is the best one ever, and blows away the MovieMate 72 that it replaced. The picture is so clear and crisp and beautiful. It's just stunning. Great lens shift gives you lots of placement options. Lots of awesome features, Epson has been improving each generation, and this projector benefits from all those little improvements (like remote, lens shift, etc).

Cons: It's large, so be prepared. I have a little shelf on the back wall that held the MovieMate 72, and this guy "just" fits on the shelf, where the moviemate had lots of room to spare. But as long as you know what size it is, it's not a con.

Other Thoughts: Awesome. Just awesome. But I'll probably upgrade to the soon to be released 3010 (which is basically this projector with 3D). But you won't be disappointed with this projector, the picture from Bluray is stunning. I bought mine from someone else so I won't show up as "verified owner". But believe me, I own it!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value

Pros: Excellent media room projector, not too loud, excellent picture quality, lots of inputs, RS232 control is excellent. Well designed menu user interface and remote (backlit). Good looking unit.

Cons: Lens shifting mechanism is somewhat sloppy, lots of plastic.

Other Thoughts: For the money, there is no better value than the 8350. The next legitimate step up is to a JVC which costs about 8 times the price of one of these. We've got this lighting up a 120" Elite Screens display and have had no issues with it at all.
