4 out of 5 eggsVery nice display.

Pros: 1080p. 23". Nice and bright. I've got two, and they've been great for over a year. No dead pixels. I recently discovered an sRGB color profile preset in the configuration, which is kinda handy.

Cons: When I first bought them, one died on me after only a few days. RMA'd, got a replacement, and the replacement has worked splendidly.

Blacklevel is inconsistent across area of display. Near the bottom of the bezel, the backlight bleeds through the pixel layer some.

Virtually no flexibility in stand adjustment, but that turns out to not be a problem in the long term; it becomes one less thing to fiddle with.

Other Thoughts: While I was very disappointed in the inconsistent blacklevel at first, it turns out that, for most uses, that's not a problem. I wouldn't recommend watching movies or graphics editing on them. Programming, webdev, etc all are great. If you use a tiling window manager like me,

I came by to see if the model is still available; I'd given one to my fiancee, so she could run multimon. Now I'm missing having two myself...so I'm actively considering buying one or two more. I probably will, in the next couple weeks; working from home, I find I need that extra pixelspace more than ever. I'll probably be recommending them for work, too; we've got a couple developer workstations that need display upgrades.

I did discover that they're tricky to see *over*; they're big displays! If you want to put them in a place where you can see past them, take care.

For what it's worth, mine came with DVI cables...but that was a little over a year ago. That may be different, now.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Its a very nice unit for the price. I've been playing world of warcraft, and other games that are not too demanding on it, and issues are non-existent. I have a good video card being shipped right now from the egg, and I will repost this review if I run into any issues.

Cons: I don't like the glossy frame, but that's just me. It should include a DVI cable. Not really an issue for me, since I had one lying around, but others might have to buy one.

Other Thoughts: 1080p + no display issues. I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone.

3 out of 5 eggsOKAY, but

Pros: It works and it looks great

Cons: Stupid Windoze (XP) doesn't recognize except as generic plug/play and stuck with minimal options and 60mhz.
Therefore a driver is needed BUT try to find one on AOC.com. as this display has no label whatsoever so no model number and worse, no serial number.

Other Thoughts: Had I known the above, I would never have bought this. Have been hours trying to get this working as I know it can!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor, Dead Pixel

Pros: Great looking. Glossy Front Panel, checker textured back and sides with chrome accents. What's on the monitor also looks superb. BF Bad Company 2 and Crysis look amazing.
Envision Display has an awesome warranty.

Cons: This is more my fault. I didn't check my Grandma's monitor before I had to RMA some other parts. Only 30 day RMA for newegg. It has one dead pixel that shows up only on complete black. AOC (or Envision Displays) will only repair a monitor if it has 5 or more dead pixels. Again, should have checked the monitor more closely. I may check with newegg since the circumstances were as they were.

Other Thoughts: None really. Good picture. Would be better if you could tweak settings. There are no brightness, contrast, ect. settings.
I'm considering getting two more for a dual monitor setup (currently mix matching 21.5" Acer and Viewsonic at 1400 x 900).

5 out of 5 eggsYou will like this monitor!

Pros: Amazing monitor... I purchased two of these to run dual monitors and I must say, they both are mirrors of each other! The 1080p comes really to show when I edit pics in Photoshop, Lightroom or when I simply watch a Blue-Ray.

No dead pixels, they stay cool and have a good menu for adjustments. Pro or Amateur, if you are looking for a monitor in the 23" range that is 1080p, look no further.

I would definitely recommend this product to family & friends (and I have).

Cons: One thing I was disappointed about was that no DVI cables were included. There is only a VGA cable (that is short at that) and I wrote CS about it. Makes little sense to have a HD monitor with only inferior cables...

But hey, this way you can get the right length cables anyways.

Other Thoughts: These monitors have 4 rubber nubs/stops in the back that you can pull out of the housing with your fingernails. This way, you can attach a mounting plate if you want to mount them on a wall or one of those fancy table mounted arms. Also, to me the stands seem a little flimsy, I have yet to have any issues with it, but they just seem a little.... light.

5 out of 5 eggsThis monitor is amazing

Pros: This monitor is absolutely amazing. I needed to replace an old CRT I was using before I went to college. I had been looking for HD monitors that weren't too expensive and I found this one. The color and clarity are excellent. I have had problems in the past with color reproduction during photo editing, but this monitor has given me no trouble.

Cons: The monitor does not come with a DVI cable, just a VGA cable. And the VGA cable that does come with it is really short. I had some trouble making it reach from the center of my desk to the floor right next to the desk. Also, the monitor stand is not the most stable but is not too much of an issue. None of these things warrant the loss of an egg because of the excellent picture quality.

Other Thoughts: I would reccomend buying a DVI cable to go with this monitor when you purchase it. Other than the lack of a DVI cable this monitor is an excllent purchase.
