1 out of 5 eggsDead after 13 months

Pros: Clear picture. Very little light leakage. Good speed when watching high speed action. Vibrant colors.

Cons: Died after just 13 months. The picture went blurry. Tried different cables, different computer, different power outlet. Looks like the panel itself is hosed. Unfortunately, AOC warranty covers the panel for only 1 year, so this monitor is basically trash. Very disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Maybe my experience is unique, but a monitor dying after just over a year is unacceptable. I own a Samsung SyncMaster now. The picture is far superior, but only time will tell if it does better.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a 3 year warranty

Pros: Ok when it worked

Cons: The LCD panel only has a 1 year warranty - but the listing says it's a 3 year warranty. The lamp failed after 1.5 years, and no warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsBrighter and clearer than my Samsung

Pros: Brighter and clearer than all my other monitors. This is an amazing monitor.

I have five monitors connected to my workstation. This is monitor #5 and it outshines my Samsung that I added last year.

Somehow all the colors seem more crisp.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Had the turn the brightness down a little, the default is a little too high and hurt my eyes. Perfect after a 20 second adjustment.

4 out of 5 eggsgood monitor for a good price

Pros: Cheap - can never beat that
Good image quality - important in a monitor
Large display - its easy to see everything

Cons: button on the one monitor wont turn the monitor on or off at times, just got to hit it an extra time or two, not huge deal

Other Thoughts: overall its a good buy, I got three of these for an eye infinity setup

4 out of 5 eggsAOC LCD

Pros: Great color and overall sharpness. Nice and bright, with strong contrast.

Cons: The controls are a tremendous pain. It took me an hour to set the screen up. Also, the screen turns of by itself every so often (a real pain in a game). AOC, fix this.

Other Thoughts: My old 8800 GTS is still working. It works well with this screen on my old 2.4 GHz P965 rig. Hasn't died on me yet.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect!

Pros: -Wonderful, vibrant picture
-Full 1080p
-Lots of options/settings
-Better all-around stats than much pricier monitors
-Sleek look and feel

Cons: -Need the Rosetta Stone to decipher the menus...
-The "A" from "AOC" fell off after a few months.
-No HDMI port (I purchased a DVI-HDMI adapter, problem solved!)
-Mildly wobbly stand

Other Thoughts: After owning this monitor for several months, I can point out several cons, but for me (and hopefully everyone else) the most important aspect of a monitor is the picture. Make no mistake about it, the picture on this monitor is fantastic, and far beyond it's price range. Take a look at resolution, contrast ratio, and response time, and compare it to similarly-priced monitors. It just blows them away. People complain about the light at the top/bottom of the screen on dark scenes, but it's minimal. My laptop screen is FAR worse than this monitor. Honestly, when I use this monitor in a dual-screen setup with my laptop, it makes my laptop look bad. The menus are difficult to understand, but play with them long enough and you'll figure them out. The stand is wobbly if the table it's on moves, but here's the secret, don't move it! I was somewhat wary of buying a monitor from a brand I've never heard of, but the warranty told me that AOC really stands behind their products.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap LED LCD

Pros: The computer repair center I use to work for sold AOC, and overall they were very comparible to other brands, so I thought I would give one a shot.

1. Screen is bright and colors are brilliant. I set mine to Game Mode and used a "3" on the gamma correction.

2. This monitor takes almost NO power to run.

3. High framerate games look decent. No distorted moving images.

4. Touch screen buttons look nice and easy to use.

5. Screen does not reflect much light, unlike the frame.

6. The usb extension cable came with this monitor. One less thing to buy is always nice.

7. Vesa mounts are starting to become rare, its nice to have the option to wall mount. Or, in my case, mount the monitor SECURELY to a desk.

8. The position of the rear video ports is in a better orientation. Straight out ones, from what I have seen, tend to make the cables go bad sooner due to strain on the cable bending.

9. Integrated power transformer. No power brick.

Cons: 1. The menu on this thing is POORLY designed for the average consumer. Luckily, there are some very decent posts on the internet explaining what things are in the menu.

2. The glossy frame is a fingerprint and dust magnet. I do not understand why manufactures are choosing this design. It also reflects the light from my desk lamp.

3. The stand seems wobbly. I replaced a Sceptre X7 (10 yr old monitor, still working by the way) with this monitor and it's stand was VERY sturdy!! Luckily, I am using the VESA wall mounts to mount this monitor to my desk.

4. On my monitor, I received 2 "stuck" pixels. One is located under the windows start menu, the other is near the edge.

5. No DVI cable. Come on, an analog VGA cable? Are you kidding me? The monitor is High Definition, why would I want to use an analog cable?

6. The CD they put in the box is worthless.

Other Thoughts: Why doesn't anyone double box monitors? With shipping carriers these days, you have about a 25% chance of getting a monitor that isn't damaged.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: I've got 3 different 22" monitors on my desk connected to the same computer. One is hard to read at the resolution I like to run things at, another monitor's picture vibrates if my small little pc speaker is within 8 inches of it, even at low volume. But my AOC monitor... BEAUTIFUL! It's bright, sharp. doesn't vibrate. I'm constantly dragging windows from the other two monitors to this one. I just bought a 2nd AOC monitor to phase out one of my existing monitors and hopefully will get a 3rd soon.

Cons: none.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor Ever for Price

Pros: Outstanding picture and clarity. Drivers were a breeze to install. Great touch pad for on/off and menu controls. Awesome with games. Extremely happy with purchase. : )

Cons: Wierd but simple menu screen. Took me 30 secs to figure out. Too bright out of the box, had to dim down, but not really a con. Glossy black frame and stand show fingerprints easy. If its for use and not art who really cares.

Other Thoughts: Find a better monitor for the price.......... not gunna happen. Jump on it before its too late.
