4 out of 5 eggsAcceptable but Odd Behavior

Pros: I purchased this monitor at a brick and mortar store so that I could set up my laptop in a desktop configuration. I chose this monitor for reviews and value. The picture is very crisp, and it came with no dead pixels. The menu is pretty easy to navigate, as is tweaking the color/contrast etc... although I'm not heavily into a perfect picture. I typically tweak very little with my monitors, often choosing a factory setting and tweaking it only slightly.

Cons: My monitor turns off at random times. I turned off all power saver features and it still does it. Even if it's receiving an active signal (playing a game or watching video), it simply turns off as if I've hit the power switch. I have yet to determine the cause of this though to be fair I haven't contacted AOC or searched for the problem in any depth. Also, for about the past 2 weeks it seems as if my picture will randomly dim and then brighten itself after a short time. This could be due to my cats walking on the base (the power and menu buttons are easily pressed and manipulated). A setting could have been changed... again it would be my fault since I haven't check the settings.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I got this monitor for a few dollars cheaper than available here and it's proven its worth so far. As all the other reviews have said, it IS quite flimsy, but don't mistake that as fragile.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Fantastic color quality, ultra thin it's perfect for gaming. Full HD is also standard, but the fact that this screen isn't some gigantic 27" monitor means that the pixels are much less noticeable.

Cons: Pretty darn flimsy, although it doesn't shake while gaming or just during general use, plugging in a wire makes it seem like an earthquake is happening. Also, I almost snapped the poor thing in half trying to adjust the screen because of the stiff stand which requires a lock button to be depressed for screen movement.

Other Thoughts: I had to pick this up at the "other yellow and blue" store, but It was cheaper here.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, serviceable monitor!

Pros: Great monitor for this price. Does what I want it to do, looks darn good, super thin and light.

Cons: Feels a bit flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, I was shocked I could get this good of a monitor for this low of a price.

4 out of 5 eggsAOC E2243FWK works for me!

Pros: Didn't buy from Newegg, first of all. I purchase a display model from a local store needing something that would replace my wonder Viewsonic that I had sold a while back. This AOC is great. Not as good as the Viewsonic, but this one has some great features. EXTREMELY THIN screne and incredibly light-weight. the base is small and sits back behind the scene, giving you enough deskspace for everything else. Bottons are all touch technology located on the base as well. It supports both VGA and DVI.

Cons: The screne sits forward from the base causing you to lose about a inch or so of deskspace from the wall, if your up against a wall. The screen also cannot be mounted. Its so thin they didn't provide screw holes in the back. Overall design prevents mounting altogether (power and video cables are located in the base).

Other Thoughts: I'm giving it a 4 because the picture is wonderful. I only regret choosing this monitor because I just need ANY monitor. It's no piece of cwrap so don't think its absolute trash. It gets the job done.

4 out of 5 eggsthis is my favorite monitor brand

Pros: really good price. thin bezel, good styling, bright, good contrast, i know most people never use it but it has the best active DCR of any monitor or television i have ever seen ever i currently have three of these my self one of them being an older version of it that came in white that has since been discontinued but it does match in every other way. i have also used these monitors in builds for three other people all of which were very pleased with their setup. i also have an old AOC V22 which i believe was their first LED backlit monitor that is fantastic unfortunately i can't run it in my current setup. so far i have never gotten a monitor from AOC with a single defect at all every single one was perfect (except one thing i post in cons)

Cons: the only problem is that after two years it seems that my original white model is starting to fade in color and darken a bit leaving it with an abnormally blue hue. also its getting some screen flicker sometimes when i start up a game that eventually settles itself out im probably going to see about contacting AOC about the issue and see what they say im really hoping that i dont need to buy another one and im very much hoping that this is a one time occurance. however if my V22 is any standard to go by then i have high hopes that its only a one time issue

Other Thoughts: i will probably be a loyal customer of AOC for years to come depending on how well this monitor setup lasts. if it only makes it two or three years i don't think I'll be very happy about my purchases anymore

2 out of 5 eggseh

Pros: I bought 3 for $100 each. 1080p. Thin.

Cons: ugh. extremely flismy. feels like it will break off the stand. wobbles like crazy when you touch it. i have them in a triple monitor display and it's impossible to get them lined up nicely. also, the colors vary greatly. when you have a window spanning across multiple monitors and have 3 different shades on each, it gets annoying. stuck pixel on one. it's just super cheap. if i didnt need 3, i would have gotten a better one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I have two of them and I love them both dearly. I bought one and decided it was so great that I got another one. I use them for web development and I love the extra screen real estate! They're great for gaming, too.

The stand allows for adequate tilt. No dead pixels after about 6 months of ownership. The color looks great on both of the monitors. I highly recommend them.

Cons: The touch panel on the base is a bit awkward feeling. Took me a little bit to get the hang of it when I was first setting them up.

I guess they feel a little flimsy when I'm adjusting the title, but under normal use I never notice. I'm not sure if this is typical of all LCD monitors.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for Gaming

Pros: Thin bezel! This is what originally attracted it to me since I want to use it for an eyefinity build. 1080p, and the smaller size really makes it super crisp!

Cons: I like how thin it is, however I do not like that they chose to hook all the wires through the base, I would have loved to mount this to the wall. Now, the base does fold flat with VESA mounts on the bottom, but it looks kinda odd when you're doing multiple monitors.

Other Thoughts: Very good monitor for the price and going from a 23" to this isn't hardly noticeable. Cant see the justification in the much higher price for so little real estate when they both put out 1080p.

3 out of 5 eggsWorth shopping around a bit more.

Pros: The screen itself is very thin but there is a downside to its layout see cons for details. Color if very good and picture is sharb monitor itself is verylight.

Cons: Ok, so the biggest con of all is the base. You have a screen that is less than 1" thick, and they put a base on it that in 5 or 6 inches out past the back of it which kills the"thin" aspect of it. ALSO straight out of the base in the back is where the connections are so even since my screen sits 6 inches from the wall because of the base, now the base sits another inch from the wall because of the cables. BAD CABLE LOCATION!!!!!

Other Thoughts: For the same around.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: great - very thin, bright, clear, mountable

Cons: so thin it is a little wobbly and when i drop something on my table near the base the screen flashes

it also is a little pricy for 20.5in. it seems smaller than the picture

Other Thoughts: great buy but a little too expensive
