4 out of 5 eggsQuality at an affordable price

Pros: Beautiful display, games and movies look fantastic.
5 ms response time
In-depth OSD
If significant other is looking: It didn't eat the cat.

Cons: As many have said, it's a wee bit wobbly. hard to adjust viewing angle at all.
If significant other is not looking: It didn't eat the cat.

Other Thoughts: I will be buying 2 more of these for eyefinity.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: Nice size
Very clear screen
Looks good
Excellent resolution
No useless bells and whistles

Cons: Was'nt free

Other Thoughts: I just recently built a system for the first time and I was looking for a monitor that had a screen big enough for my old tired eyes. I am very happy with this purchase, the screen was better than expected. The native resolution on this thing is awsome, even the few games I play look so much better. The monitor itself has a nice sleek look to it asthetically. The other thing I was looking for was a monitor that was just a monitor, no speakers or other useless add ons, this one is it. Thanks AOC and New Egg for a quality product at a decent price, awesome service, and a good shopping experiance.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: I own two of these monitors. I saw them on sale at Best Buy (of all places) for just over $100. I saw the sale and immediately bought one. That night I decided the price was so good that I decided to go back the next day and buy a second.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and play a fair amount of video games. Whichever one I set as my "default" always is able to show very fast animations and high resolution textures flawlessly.

I've owned both of these guys for almost two years now, and they're still going strong. They made it through my Freshman year in an all-male dorm, and have survived multiple packings, travel, and unpackings. No dead pixels or anything like that. Just treat them delicately and they'll continue to perform.

Cons: The stand feels flimsy/cheap. ESPECIALLY the little hinge guy connecting the actual screen to the base. But I do not adjust them very frequently so it does not bother me too much.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that I am by no means an expert, just a casual gamer who is able to appreciate maxed out settings in all their glory.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price but dead pixels after 52 days

Pros: Great Color Ratio and Response time but seriously beware. I returned my first one back to best buy because of issues and bought my second one from newegg.

Cons: Dead Pixels after 52 days, contacted aoc and was told they would cover it under warrentry if i shipped it there and paid for return shipping. Seriously? 28.99 shipped 1 way so back is the same price i assume seriously dont waste your time and money on a paper weight

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Monitor For Money

Pros: These monitors are simply amazing. There may be better LCD's out there, but none for the price. The colors are crisp and bright and being LED LCD's they have extremely low power consumption. Having seen it side by side with a Samsung, I can tell you there is no reason to spend more money. These have the exact same specs, look just as good, cost less, and have a longer warranty. The connections on the base really make for a clean look. Another thing I really like is that these monitors actually display legacy text well. BIOS and text based OS's such as linux are still usable with these.

Cons: As others have said these can be a little wobbly but if your desk is pretty solid this isn't an issue. You could easily break the base if you were so silly as to not read the very clearly marked instructions on how to release it. I don't see these working very well for a wall mount. The "touch" controls on the base take a little getting used to but it is just a little bit of a learning curve more than a real con.

The included "i-menu" software allows you to make all the changes you can on the base, but it seems to only work with one monitor, which is somewhat of a pain for dual monitor setups.

Other Thoughts: I bought these monitors to replace a pair of 21" Trinitron CRT's. These CRT's so spoiled me to a high quality display that most budget LCD's simply looked laughable in comparison. I was utterly stunned when I set up one of these AOC's next to one of my CRT's. Iit actually made my beloved Trinitron look bad!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Works like a charm.
Good settings!
Great color.

BIGGEST (+) for me is they have great customer support from the manufacturer. Fast reply( I think it was within 24 hours) and they honor warranties!
One of my biggest peeves is a company that does not! AOC rocks.

Cons: Thin, and feels flimsy. But it is well built and has yet to break on me after 2 years.

Other Thoughts: confession I did not buy this from Newegg but am a regular buyer from Newegg. Wrote this review here to let you all know how good it is.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Monitor

Pros: This monitor is an all around great monitor. The picture on this thing is as good as or better than some of the more expensive monitors. AOC has been making monitors in Canada for more than 20 years, which is why it isn't a name brand in America. But it should be! One of the reasons the picture is so fantastic is that it uses an OEM Samsung LCD, which as many of you may know to be some of the best. I bought three of these to use in an AMD Eyefinity setup, and they perform amazing as I expected. The picture needed some a little tweaking, and now is the center of attention of my family and friends. Everyone liked it so much, my father and mother both bought one, and three of the four buddies I showed it to bought one. You really can't beat this monitor for the price tag.

Cons: A few minor things:
-No HDMI or Mini-Displayport. I used an adapter so I dont care but it would be nice to not have to spend the extra 20 bucks for it

-2cm Bezel. Not terrible, but could be thinner considering this uses a Samsung display, and Samsung's bezels are thinner.

-Connections run from the base. I have never seen this before, and it means you can lay it against a wall.

-Has a very weird mounting system. The base flips up and the monitor mounts from the bottom. Very interesting choice AOC.

-Requires a bit of tweaking for perfection, but that's expected on all monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet monitor

Pros: This thing has a fantastic picture, very bright. The touch screen type buttons on the base are pretty cool.

Cons: Base is a little flimsy but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Not understanding the people saying that this thing has a bad picture. I have it hooked up with a DVI cable to a GTX 460 video card and the picture is stunning. I don't notice any bleeding of the picture at all. Just 100% crystal clear. If you need to buy a cheap monitor and are thinking about getting this one, don't hesitate. It looks absolutely fantastic.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Light
- Bright
- Connections on base

Cons: - Significant edge bleed
- Brightness overwhelms definition
- Flimsy base-screen connection

Other Thoughts: Purchased this monitor at a brick and mortar store on sale for a really good price. The entire assembly was very light, and the base felt solid. I liked how the connections were on the base as opposed to the monitor itself. There is a LOT of flex in the attachment arm. A bump sets it wobbling, but under normal use it should be fine.

Picture was very bright at factory settings. Many things looked washed out, and finer lines on white pages (say, a web page form with a white background) tended to blend in. Went through several rounds of calibration and got it looking pretty good, if still a bit too bright. Taking the brightness down any more just washed out the color.

There was a fair amount of light bleed along both side edges, and a significant amount along the bottom edge. This caused the bottom quarter or so of the screen to be overbright and lacking in definition. Dark windows in particular showed a noticeable fade-up towards the bottom.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: For typical workplace use, this display looks better than any I've used. LED back-light seems to make a huge difference. I run dual screens all the time, so I can easily compare. The brightness and color are fantastic. 23" is just the right size for 1920x1080; that is, text isn't too small and the screen isn't too big, as with my 25".

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Other Thoughts: I don't game or watch a lot of videos, so I can't comment on that. I do stare at it all day, as my IDE sits on it. For the price, it's outstanding.
