5 out of 5 eggsExcelent Monitor

Pros: No dead pixels that I can see.
Big screen, especially for the money.
Lighter than I had thought it would be.
Clear picture.
Very thin (doesn't really matter to me but some might care).

Cons: The one I got seems to be very slightly tilted. I haven't taken a level to it, but putting a twist tie under one side of the base seemed to have made me feel better about it.

The menu isn't as bad as others are saying, but when you're cycling through, the bar that highlights your selections needs to move to the next option before you can do anything with it, rather than just moving instantaneously.

The colors were a bit washed out when I got it.
I used the following options:
Under Luminance I set DCR to on. Brightness and contrast say that they're at 100%, adjust that if you want I suppose!
Under Color Setup I made red 63, green 51 and blue 50. That seems to match the colors on my other monitor, and they look quite nice. Both DCB options off.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't bother me that the buttons for the menu are difficult to press, but in order to get them to register, the monitor lifts up on that side. I held the monitor down and can confirm that they are indeed hard to press. I guess that should go in cons but it doesn't bother me.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor but...

Pros: Large screen

Cons: Missing pixels in screen, 2% slant on the screen, meaning while sitting on the stand the monitor leans at 2%, over time this is going to suck. Unless I can keep my head tilted to the right for the rest of the monitors life.

Other Thoughts: Quality Control would have prevented this, you took the time to send a letter stating it was checked only to find errors, slanted screen and missing pixels, whatever happened to buying new and getting new?

4 out of 5 eggsBright! As mentioned previously

Pros: Big monitor for price.

Cons: Bright! As previously mentioned. Even with Brightness and Contrast turned down, still seems bright. Menu buttons and navigation is worse portion of this monitor.

NO HDMI cable

Other Thoughts: If you're in a bright room this monitor would probably suit you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat inexpensive monitor

Pros: Good price (on sale @200)
Large size (27")
Decent colors
No dead pixels

Cons: None at this price range

Other Thoughts: Monitor for a secondary workstation. Great price for a larger size monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent - Pretty Darn Good Monitor

Pros: Has DVI, VGA, & HDMI
20million to 1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
2ms Response Time
Nice Vibrant Beautiful Colors
Has a Solid Feel to It and You can Tell it Was Made Well***
Full High Definition
Many Options to Adjust and Calibrate the Colors to Your Liking
Excellent Price @ $199.99
Packaged Well for Shipping (inside factory box)

Cons: ***You can tell that this monitor is made well but when you adjust the colors from the buttons on the bottom right hand part of the screen it does rock a bit but its not that bad.

I cant think of any cons really for a penny shy of 200 dollars this monitor is a sure bet.

Other Thoughts: Im sorry Newegg I had this on my wish list I wanted to upgrade my hardware first and then get this monitor and when I got a check for mileage reimbursement at my job I decided to go with a Factory Refurbished one of this exact same model and sure enough when I went to read the reviews again on Newegg the price had dropped to $199.99 but oh well Newegg gets all of my hard earned money as it is right now anyways. So anyways I got this in the mail and I must absolutely say that the reviews are correct on this I honestly feel that this is a 5 egg product it has nice crisp solid colors the blacks are good you can tell that this monitor was made well it doesn't feel cheap at all it does wobble when you adjust the colors but other than that for 200 dollars this is an absolute steal and I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!! I was really close to getting a benq 27" monitor but I read about ghosting and Im not having that especially since I do a lot of gaming. For anyone that reads this trust me this is a great deal, this is a solid monitor and believe me I can be picky. Also I would like to note that I have an Asus G75 laptop and I love Asus products but honestly this monitor beats out my Asus Customer Choice Award Winner LED monitor. Let me put it this way if someone put an Asus sticker on the bottom I would honestly think this was a premium brand Asus it is that good. Just check the reviews on ALL AOC brand monitors and every single one of them have 4 eggs now what does that tell you? I'm convinced AOC is a brand to be reckoned with I give this monitor my seal of approval!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: It's a lot of monitor for this price point. Came undamaged with no dead pixels. After a spin through the settings it has great clarity and color. This is my first AOC product , but if it lasts it will not be the last.

Cons: It doesn't come with and HDMI or a DVI cable, but it does come with a VGA cable. Really??? Hello it's 2013. I hooked it up on VGA first just to compare it to the HDMI I have on it now and there is a noticeable difference.

Other Thoughts: At this price point you can afford to pick up an HDMI cable, but come on AOC should we really have to???? Just a thought.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Big. Light. LED. Fast. All inputs covered.

Cons: Too bright out of the box.

Other Thoughts: I use this as a primary PC display and secondary for work laptop. I watch HD TV on this thing and its awesome. There is one magic setting that turns this into a great overall display - Extra - OCC/CO - Yes

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome monitor

Pros: Amazing clarity, great color, great price, HD movies and games look amazing. Nice thin design. I came from a 24 inch Samsung monitor which I paid $400 for about 4 years ago. This monitor is much better than my Samsung was.

Please read other thoughts for color settings.

Cons: Poor menu design and the menu software it came with was in Japanese (fail) speakers are very weak and I see a lot of people nocking off eggs because of the speakers.
That's ridiculous considering LCD monitors and TV's all have poor speakers built in to them. Most people have separate PC speakers and you should never rely on LCD speakers for your sound needs.

Other Thoughts: When I first turned on the monitor it looked terrible, all the colors were washed out and it was so bright it was burning my retinas LOL. Once I set everything right the picture looked amazing, in fact better than anything I have seen from other monitors.

I used my NVidia control panel for the settings and set them at.....contrast-70%
brightness-40%
Under the monitors menu settings I set the color mode to normal and had DCR on.

If you use the monitors menu put contrast to 40% and brightness at 35% I know the brightness level seems low but trust me this monitor gets very bright and 35% is perfect even in a lightly lit room.

Very important if you want the colors and text to jump out to you in clarity make sure you get an HDMI cable that has 15GBps transfer speed and is gold plated, they will run you about $20 for a 6 foot one, trust me its worth it if you want to get all you can out of this monitor. I'm a gamer so I'm very fussy about my monitors, once you set everything up the way I said the monitor is absolutely beautiful and for $199 you cant go wrong. All I can say is buy it buy it buy it! Do it before they raise the price on it again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Good picture, a little too bright out of the package but better than too dark. Bought two for a dual screen setup and they are better than the single 32 inch which was too big to see the entire screen when sitting at a desk.

Cons: The menu for this monitor needs work.

Other Thoughts: A remote would have been perfect. It would eliminate the need to navigate with the buttons which sucks.
