4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for software development

Pros: - The most clear AOC monitor I've owned
- Works well in Windows and Linux
- No ghosting
- Fantastic for working on multiple files in an IDE

I wish I'd bought a few of these. I only use the HDMI on it, and never have any issues with it.

Cons: - Speakers are shabby at best. Don't use them if you don't have to.
- After a while, it seems the top of the monitor cover is bubbling up just a little bit. Nothing major or anything that would affect the functionality. Just a little ugly if you're OCD.
- The software it comes with is garbage.

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice if this monitor came with a USB hub or something, but other than that, this is fantastic monitor. Color and clarity are especially good for the money. I've played a number of more modern games on it (like Mechwarrior Online and a few of the Arkham series games) and it doesn't ghost or blur.

The only thing I would say is that it takes a little getting used to since it's so wide. It would be nice if the screen were curved like some of the other 21:9 screens. There actually is a perspective issue that requires you to sit directly centered with the screen.

3 out of 5 eggsGood monitor works good

Pros: Works good
Looks good

Cons: a 2560x1440 would be better though

Misleading advertising, the pictures show a screen that goes to the borders, but actually the monitor is set so you lose about a 1/2 inch around the border, which you can see in some picture elsewhere. docked an egg for it

I would actually like a triple wide with a little bit of a curve in it would be perfect, as I often have a lot of stuff open. Lots of cross referencing.

the software that comes with the monitor is terrible and needs to be improved, should knock an egg off for that, but I feel little generous today. The software does not need to be installed. their 'screen windows' management software is a great idea that wish window had done itself years ago. how can Windows call itself that when it doesn't have any windows management tools? Unfortunately the good idea is very poorly executed, should fix in the future though.

Other Thoughts: This is a good monitor for workstation, for people who need or want more screen real estate. perfect for people who work on one thing while referencing another thing

5 out of 5 eggs1 year review

Pros: This review is after roughly 1 year of ownership (a little over 11 months).
So far, this monitor has performed flawlessly. No bad pixels appearing, no back light creeping in. It functions just as well now as when I brought it home.

I still occasionally run across that certain game that isn't supporting the 21:9 ratio (cough, cough Assassin's Creed 4), but most games that are relatively recent do, and makes the experience that much better.

I don't think I could go back to a regular sized monitor. I've had to do a little work on my wife's system (she has a glossy 24" HP 1080P monitor, it is a nice monitor) and I really miss the extra real estate. It's very noticeable.

I'd love to get one of the new 34" 21:9 ratio monitors, but my wife would notice a new monitor on my desk and immediately ask "how much did that cost?".

Cons: The thing is a fingerprint magnet on every surface.

Other Thoughts: I would love to try out daisy-chaining 2 more together for that ultra wide view, but again, the Missus would notice.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: The monitor is big, comes with a stable stand, has good image quality and convenient output connectors.

Cons: I've owned dozens of monitors in my life. This is the worst one yet. On my Mac mini, it continually resets to low resolutions. Switching it back and forth between the mini and my Linux laptop causes strange firmware problems where it forgets what resolutions its capable of.

I can't recommend this monitor for Mac or Linux users.

5 out of 5 eggsDo more, see more!

Pros: This monitor has amazing, beautiful crisp colors. I got this to replace my Samsung 24 inch monitor for gaming and it's a big improvement. nVidia digital boost doesn't restart on this monitor. I can see further left and right during games. In game pics and videos look amazing on my desktop. This is a best buy for gaming, editing and movies. It's two screens in one!

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I had so lines on the screen but it was due to my HDMI cable...just make sure it's seated properly.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Monitor

Pros: Great Value
Wide range of input options
DP chainable
Wide viewing angle
Small side bezel

Cons: The menu structure takes some getting used to. Had to turn off and back on when a setting caused it to zoom in on a strange section of the display, strange 13mm gap around sides before you get to the bezel

Other Thoughts: Overall I would call this a great deal, while the menu takes some getting used to it provides a very wide viewing angle the small bezel was nice until we turned it on to find there was a gap in the surface of the screen (it was built this way) so if you wanted to multi-screen game it would have a fairly wide gap. I'm working on a new system for myself and might just pick one up as the FOV for games is awesome

5 out of 5 eggsA Great looking monitor

Pros: Bright screen and no dead pixels. Nice matted screen with no glare in bright light. Movies look great . I got the all black version which looks cool. Lots of connections to.
Great viewing angles.
3 year warranty.
A IPS panel

Cons: No Dual Link DVI cable, just a HDMI cable . No MHL cable either. No DP cable either. A real bummer.

Other Thoughts: A really nice and sharp looking screen. It makes you feel more immersive in games. My first impression was wow. I really couldn't find anything wrong with it. Aside from not having the cables it should have had, it great monitor. My first from AOC. I did a lot of research and it was the video that new egg showed that sold me. My only complaint was I didn't get the cables that the video shows.
