Pros: I just built a system and got the usual 19inch LCD screen. It was OK but I felt the screen was letting everything down..So I stumbled on this page and liked what I read..So I took the risk and brought..Gaming lag was a worry..but It games just fine so far.DVD movies are lovely and blu-ray discs really show what this screen can do.Watching planet earth on this screen is a moving experience..After being disappointed with LCD technology,I have finally found what I was looking for.Well worth 600 and I am very happy with this screen.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Easy to setup with HP Cd.2 inches thick, swivels around so you can view web pages and photos with a high screen, one click rotation. No remote,no speakers just a great screen.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: This was the first non-TN panel LCD I have used and I must say it is impressive. I have been using it for more than a month now and when I look at my old TN-panel LG the difference is shocking. I never realized how washed out and dull TN panels were until I used this H-IPS panel. I use this for some light photo editing, but mainly for games. Is it overkill for games? Maybe, but I appreciate superior technology and want the absolute best picture possible. I have played dozens of different games, new and old, and have not experienced any ghosting or image distortions. It looks just like a 2ms display!! So awesome. The stand is exceptional as well for height, swivel, and pivot.
Cons: Its pretty large compared to similar sized LCDs, but that is understandable....IPS panels need stronger backlights than TN panels. 1920x1200 resolution is not supported by xbox360s so the picture is not good. The 360 runs it in non-native 1920x1080. Not the monitors fault, but I was hoping to use this for my xbox360! Mine came with one pixel stuck in green, unfortunate but not noticeable during routine use unless you really look for it.
Other Thoughts: Since buying this IPS-panel LCD I will never go back to a TN panel. HP did a truly fantastic job with this monitor from the plethora of input options, usb hub, HDCP compatibility, fast response time, incredibly solid and versatile stand, and best of all the price. I watch blue-rays on this and the quality is incredible. The 1920x1200 resolution works just fine for blue-rays as well. My blu-ray player software (Total Media Theater 3) just adds small black bars on the top/bottom of the display. It keeps the monitor in its native resolution for picture quality, which is beautiful at 1200p =D It should be noted that a fairly beefy cpu/gpu is needed to run modern games at 1920x1200 with all the graphic settings turned up. I have an i7-920@3.1ghz, 6gigs ram, and a HD5850@810/1150....rather expensive setup but it allows me to play games @1920x1200 with settings maxed. Image quality is superb. If only I had the money to run 3 of these at the same time!!

Excellent monitor. Great for photo editing.

Pros: Excellent color and density (when calibrated). Nice and bright. Very good viewing angles. Solid construction and sturdy.
I cannot vouch for gaming qualities because I don't play video games, but if you are into photo editing, then you owe it to yourself to check this baby out!!
Cons: Absolutely NONE.
Other Thoughts: I have been a professional photographer since 1982, and I have been working with digital photography professionally since 1992. I build my own computer systems too (most recently a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, AMD system). I say this because I want those reading this review to understand that I know what I'm talking about, and I'm no beginner.
With that said, I can honestly say that this monitor simply ROCKS! After calibrating it with my Spyder3Elite, colors and density are dead on perfect! There are no defects in the LCD screen (color or pixels). Maybe some other reviewers have received a bad apple. It happens. But mine is perfect.
I cannot also believe I was about to purchase a LaCie monitor for more than twice the price! What a dumb investment that would have been, considering this beauty is available.
I did buy this from a competitor (sorry NewEgg), but N.E. gets the vast majority of my business anyway because of their outstanding product availability and price.
