5 out of 5 eggsHP strikes again

Pros: this monitor has been faithfully serving me for almost five years and is still going strong. the picture is clear and I have not noticed any darkening.

Cons: I wish it had a few more settings.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat monitors for the price

Pros: I have 5 of these monitors, just picked up 4 and 5 getting a 6th. I love them. They function very well. They have clear pictures. I have one PC game (CRISIS 2) it plays well and and views excellent with these monitors (3 panel eyefinity)

Cons: They get HOT! My office is unbearable in the summer for any period of time. Once in a while a monitor might not show the picture when coming out of (sleep) the problem is likely with the video card, as a quick reset of the video card settings fixes it.

Other Thoughts: XFX 6790 HD 1 GB video card
Custom built computer (all parts from Newegg)
6 monitor desk mount. All bezels removed (for space savings between monitors.)

2 out of 5 eggsFairly Decent

Pros: Pretty good size display

Cons: Height of monitor is not adjustable

Other Thoughts: This monitor is fairly decent. Had mine since Dec. 2009. Six months old it got the lines of death on it. About nine months old it died on me. It's a decent choice for a monitor, but there are way better choices out there.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasant Surprise!!!

Pros: Other than being out on delivery for 2 days with Brown it works very well. True 1600:900 resolution everything I run on it looks awesome. Some complain of gloss/glare I have a desk lamp right next to it and see nothing of the sort. Sits at optimal height for me on my desktop. Color, clarity, refresh rate, quality, sturdiness, and price are all a plus. Good bang for buck factor. Only required adjustment to the brightness and contrast to complete the set up. Looks great paired with XFX HD4770!

Cons: DOES NOT SHOW DVI-D CABLE but there was one in the box with mine so don't let this deter you from purchasing!!! So actually this was a suprising plus!!!

I should have bought 2! :(

Other Thoughts: Setup:
AMD AM2+ 940BE Deneb 3.0
MSI 770T-C45 ATX MOBO
Adata DDR2 800 2 x 2GB
Samsung Spinpoint 500GB HDD
XFX HD4770 512MB 128bit
Rosewill Stallion 450w PSU
HP 2009m 20" 16:9 LCD
WinXP SP3

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: There isn't much detail to go into when writing a monitor review, it works and the details of spec's are correct and work fine as well.

Cons: The monitor has speakers which could be a bit louder but I suppose it's average as far as monitor speakers are concerned.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: This is the most amazing, crisp computer monitor I have ever seen. It's as if it were a 1000$ monitor but bought for only 130$. Well worth the price, and more.

Cons: no cons

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Gaming

Pros: >Price vs Contrast/ aspect ratio
>Great finish (i know this doesnt sound like much but you see your monitor constantly and this one is not difficult to stare at even off)
>good hud
>great lights ok darks

Cons: >no hdmi input on this model or component ( but you get what you pay for there IS a model with those inputs)

Other Thoughts: I have had a hp 2009f for a while now and its a fantastic monitor. aside from typical computing i also have an xboc 360 hooked up to it via vga cables. i have had it along side my 1080p 42 in tv connected via hdmi and i swear this monitor looks better esp for call of duty and halo reach beta and ff13... so i had to buy another one.
the two of them side by side is amazing.
VERY LOW POWER CONSUMPTION!!!!

newegg somehow got this to me in less than 24 hours after i was charged.... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Display

Pros: High-gloss finish makes this monitor look much more expensive than it is. The resolution is perfect for a gaming/media hybrid, so you can play with higher settings than at 1080p with a wide open view area. The stand includes a circular foot which allows for swivel on the fly. Menu is easy to navigate and the color range is fantastic

Cons: No HDMI port.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this display for media and gaming if you're looking for something under $200.
