5 out of 5 eggsexcellent

Pros: Good color, clear text, like the 16:10 1920x1200 resolution, works perfectly, no dead pixels, occasionally using portrait mode which sets up in 16 seconds, good fully adjustable stand.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Used daily for more than one year, own two of them. Highly recommended, but you'll have to watch for them on other sites since out of production.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Geal

Pros: Arrived perfect condition. 1920x1200 16x10 aspect ratio is so much better than 95% of the other monitors out there. Has USB hub. Fantastic viewing angle with no strange effects on angle. Has height adjustment too, very rare now days.

Get this monitor while you still can!

Cons: Did not come with DVI cable or USB A-B cables.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat VA 16:10 panel.

Pros: This is a great VA panel LCD. It may be an old model, but thankfully that means that it's in a nice 16:10 format. Bought these since they were back again to supplement my 24" Samsung in a Eyefinity setup that I can finally afford. Works great with active DP to DVI adapter. Don't notice any ghosting while playing. Fully adjustable stand makes it nice and easy to match my current monitor.

backlight life:
2000 hours on one and 4000 hours on the other. Don't think that's too bad at all.

Has some scuffs and bruises but nothing on the screen itself, nicely refurbed screen.

Cons: None that I've seen so far.

Other Thoughts: Had to buy 2 before being forced to buy new 16:9 monitors that the stupid HD consumer market is forcing on us.

1 out of 5 eggsphail

Pros: Bright,
wide viewable angle.
great built.
great colors.
4 usbs.

Cons: text quality is poor. its a little blurry fuzzy. not as sharp as my other 24" V7 monitor. this plus a combination of very noticeable inpurt lag and the price makes me give it 1 egg.
no card reader.

Other Thoughts: this is a business class monitor but i wouldnt even recommended it for business because the text image quality fails. it might not be noticeable to someone who's never owned a good clear sharp monitor which is bad because this can tire or damage your eye sight slowly. esp with its high brightness.
the input lag is too high for average or competitive gaming.

so just coz its 24" i wouldnt even recommend this monitor to grandma. i'd only recommend it for a power-multi monitor user as a secondary or third monitor.

i've tested 4-5 of these monitors at a local computer store and they all fail at text quality. that is a very big deal to me...
pc wizard reads the aspect ratio as 16:9 at 1920x1200. i could not find any utility that would change it to 16:10
do not spend monitor on cheap entry level stuff thinking you're saving. spend the extra $30-60 for an lcd you will be pleased with.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: even backlight
no dead pixels
no scratches
great color reproduction: rivals my sony CPD-G500
excellent black level
dual analog/digital inputs
great packaging

Cons: very slight backlight bleed but far better than any lcd i've ever owned
SLOOOOOW response time don't let that 8ms fool you into thinking you're going to game on this lcd i bought it for other reasons
lots of hours on mine 24835 panel hours and 4803 backlight hours but still seems fine

Other Thoughts: at the price i paid i wish i had bought 3 of them
i was a bit wary when i read the reviews about bad packaging but mine came in a 24x36x18 box with those foam filled bags that harden into a shape around the monitor

1 out of 5 eggsPoor condition - USED/WORN

Pros: In the area of the screen that does not have spots/bruises, I can tell that this was a very good monitor in their day. These are just very heavily used & least the 2 I bought were.

Cons: I ordered 2 of these & both had bruises on the screen. By bruises I mean an area @ an inch around, that looks dirty, but can't be wiped off. Never saw this before, but it's very annoying. The bezels had several nicks in them & the stands were scuffed & scratched.

Other Thoughts: Very suprised that NewEgg would sell something like this. I have bought refurbished items before, from manufacturers & always got good quality products. These are not recommeded.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Wanted a 1920x1200 monitor with accurate color representation but was always put off by the price of IPS and PVA panel types, until I saw this deal. The monitor arrived very well packaged and has a lot of area to work with. It had 0 dead or stuck pixels and this still remains true. I have had the monitor for ~3 months now and have used it for ~8 hours each day and have been pleased each day

Cons: The usage timer was very high, indicating a significant amount of previous use before refurbishing, however there has been no problems so far. Also there was what seemed to be either tape or sticker residue that was across the top of the frame, but was easy to clean off. Not enough to dock an egg because these have not affected performance. I will update this review if anything changes

1 out of 5 eggsBeware Stay Away Not worth the trouble!!

Pros: None. I bought 2, 1 has multiple bruises, the other doesn't work at all!

Cons: You've got to be kidding me! Where's the quality control? Monitors arrived in pretty well packed boxes (see pic in add), but as above severe brusing in center of screen on one, and the 2nd one doesn't work at all. Powers up but screen distorted and a mess! No excuse for this garbage!

Other Thoughts: The owner who says contact HP for repair? Good luck with that. I tried and gave HP the s/n and they said that it was not under warranty and that they had nothing to do with the recert. This is just unreal. No way should this piece of junk have ever made it into a box for sale in this condition. Newegg you are the pits! I'll never buy another thing here again --and I've been a customer for years and $$$. There is just no excuse. What's recertified supposed to mean? You might expect a reasonable quality product, and not two faulty pieces of junk!
--oh yeah, can you tell I'm not happy?!!!
MINUS eggs if I could!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsExcllent HP Support

Pros: Great monitor for absolutely great price.

Cons: Probably will have some issues since they are refurbs.

Other Thoughts: If you get one of these that have a defect, just contact HP support. Don't call NewEgg! HP considers this an enterprise product and as such has a completey different level of support than a consumer product. A full 90-day warranty is included with this product.

I bought mine and it had a "bruise" in the center of the screen. Instead of having NewEgg ship me another risky one with a lot of hours on them (mine had 20K power-on hours) I called HP support.

HP sent out a service tech to my house with a completely new panel that had ONLY 4 POWER-ON HOURS on it and replaced it on the spot. This took only 2 days from when I called HP to when I got it replaced. HP Rocks!!!

4 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: Matches the one I bought 3 years ago new. Adjustable height. Ability to rotate 90 deg.

Cons: 3 years old. Should not really be an issue though.
