4 out of 5 eggsAwesome but Bad Power Cable

Pros: Stand came separate but was very easy to slide into place in the monitor and then adjust the hight/tilt/rotation. The menu is very intuitive and gives you a good amount of control over the display quality. I purchased this specific monitor because my eyes feel like they're bombarded with information if I look at a bright screen with high contrast, so being able to tone everything down to a much more mellow setting is great. Surprisingly, there was an HDMI cable in the package(!).

Cons: The power cable that came with the monitor was of a very cheap quality and did not have good contact with the actual electrical connection on the monitor side. Every time I touched the monitor, it turned off and the cable had to be wriggled to turn it back on. I had the previous monitor's power cable, so it's not a huge deal, but I knocked off an egg for it because having to buy a power cable if you don't have a spare sucks.

Also, I have yet to see an "Auto adjust" setting in the menu, so maybe there isn't one. Again, not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I don't exactly do a lot of high fps gaming, so I don't know how it performs with those. Works ok with GuildWars II, which is good enough for me.

4 out of 5 eggsnice ips panel

Pros: IPS panel (nice viewing angle)
display port
stand adjustable many ways.

Cons: too heavy at close to 13lb. current iMac 21.5" weighs the same or slighly less. imac contains monitor plus the entire computer plus it has glass + aluminum. i would pay about $100 more if this monitor weighs about 6lb.

height adjusting range should be bigger by about 3 inches.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Low-Cost IPS Display

Pros: +color representation is very good, but not perfect.
+blacks are about as close to black as you can expect from this price point.
+auto color configuration was very close to the best color settings, only slightly warmer.
+LED back-lighting is clean and even.
+included stand is fully adjustable. I had purchased an 'Ergotron Neo-Flex' stand as a precaution, and was pleasantly surprised that it was not needed. Now a co-worker can have a better stand, huzzah.
+no dead pixels.
+built-in USB HUB works well, if that kind of thing appeals to you.

Cons: -slight color discoloration off-axis from left or right in landscape orientation (apparent but not terribly noticeable in portait orientation).
-looking from the bottom of the display upwards, there is no noticeable discoloration; looking from the top-down, however, discoloration is very apparent. Seeing as how these translate to left/right while in portrait orientation, this may affect how you can position these displays.

Other Thoughts: *this is the first week review. I'll probably write a follow-up after three or four months to report on durability.
