Pros: I bought this HP Monitor and a Samsung one at the same time... i like the brand samsung more but this HP Monitor did work better then the samsung,since i am able to adjust the viewing angle

Cons: not much cons.

Pros: Had a great picture and no setting changes were needed.

Cons: Besides the flimsy base, the power cord, when plugging into the back of my monitor is very loose. I have to wiggle it around for five-ten minutes before getting it into a position where the monitor will be able to stay on. Furthermore, by simply kicking the desk, the cord can get knocked out. I have tried to plug in other power cords only to obtain similar results.

Pros: Very good for $110 $120 price range

Pros: Low price! Ordered this during a shell shocker as a gift to my parents. I had recently given them one of my old monitors, and as luck would have it, that stopped working about two weeks after they disposed of their old one.

Out of the box it has a great picture according to them, better than the broken panel it replaced, and especially the even older one before that. They just use it for email and web surfing, so I can't comment on suitability for gaming or graphics.

Cons: No DVI cable included, just the old VGA cable which is bordering on useless in this day and age. (My father joked that HP was using their customers to dispose of their outdated cable inventory.) I have plenty of extra cables so this was a non-issue for them, but be aware you'll need to purchase one otherwise.

As others have mentioned, the stand isn't the sturdiest thing. I was surprised at the lightness of the box, and part of that is due to the lack of any weight in the base. It's just a hollow, open-ended plastic plate like the old CRT screens had, so it does feel a bit flimsy by comparison to other panels I've worked with.

Has a bright blue LED which I am never fond of, especially when it comes to screens that you're already staring at all day.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why there are so many unrelated reviews from this product? I've been a loyal Newegg customer for many years and there's always a few that sneak in, especially on a popular product, but as of this writing about 15% of these reviews aren't even for a monitor, let alone this one.

Pros: Nice picture. Great price. The buttons in the front were kinda confusing at first until I read the directions. Required no setting adjustments other than changing the scaling in catalyst so it fit the whole screen. There's a reason this has so many good reviews.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great monitor. Asus seems to make pretty good stuff anyway. From monitors to cd drives to mobis I don't think you can go wrong.

Pros: It's an hdmi cable for 3 bucks. Gold plated and works just fine. Why pay more??

Pros: Nice and big. Very good picture quality after customization.

Cons: Only fair picture/image quality out of the box.

Other Thoughts: Out of the box I would rate this monitor as 2 eggs/stars. After messing around and changing some monitor customization values I now have a very good picture and rate this monitor with 5 eggs/stars. I made the following customization changes:

1-Set Brightness to 65
2-Set Contrast to 40
3-Set Color -> Custom -> Blue to 160 and left Red and Green at 255
4-Set Image Control -> Sharpness to 5

The preceding changes gave me what I consider a very good picture/image. The stand is on the cheap side and rocks side to side and back and forth if you bump my desk but I personally have not had any significant problems with it. So far I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Hope this feedback is of some value to you....

Pros: Low price, nice image when it works properly, can be mounted.

Cons: Ordered 7 of these for use in our business. 2 of them had to be returned during the first week, at our expense, due to a wide black band along the left side of the screen that could not be adjusted. Now, 3 months later, another one had the same issue. HP warranty sent us a warranty replacement that has the exact same problem, now we are awaiting another replacement. Although the HP website claims this product has onsite service included for the warranty period, they will not come out.

Pros: Large, quality screen for a cheap price. What else do you need?

Other Thoughts: After reading some of the reviews, I was worried about the "Monitor Stand" issues, but I have yet to come across any. Maybe compared to other monitor stands, it is lacking, but I haven't run into any problems with it so far. Unless you live or work right underneath a train crossing or in a heavy earthquake zone, you'll be just fine.

Pros: Light weight, sturdy stand, beautiful picture right out of the box. No adjusting necessary.
