5 out of 5 eggsHP W2072a

Pros: love it has great pic quality compared to my older monitor. Try setting the color to rgb looks better than standard color. just ordered a second one cost me 10 bucks more but still happy with the price i paid.

Cons: the speakers are weak. not worried about that cause i got external speakers so thats fine. i dont like that they dont include a dvi cable would really like that.

Other Thoughts: i got these cause i need a monitor for my gaming rig i built. i know its not the best monitor for gaming but i had a tight budget and this fit it perfectly. i did get a second one for gaming cause it does work really nice. i will however get a gaming monitor later on but for the price this is the best purchase i made.

5 out of 5 eggsGot it Cheap, No issues

Pros: - Got it on sale for $80
- Works as advertised

Cons: - Sadly didn't include a DVI cable in the box and we had to go out and hunt one down at the store. Inconvenient, but still at $80 I wasn't gonna cry over it.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for a second monitor for my wife. She's been seeing how I've used my second monitor and wanted in on it as well. We set it up and have had no issues with it at all.

Not sure where the viewing angle stuff came from in other reviews. I can can see the monitor just fine from across the room and I'm not the active user. My wife uses it as her second monitor and has no issues as well with it being off to the side.

It's not the best monitor in the world, but if you're just using it for a second screen and you get it for $80, I'd say it's well worth it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: $80
built in speakers

Cons: blacks are very washed out cant be adjusted
speakers aren't the best

Other Thoughts: decent work monitor for the price. No way I'd use this for a pc I gamed or watched movies on but its fine for general work purposes. I mainly gave it 3 eggs due to the price I paid at non sale price I would of given it 1-2 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood little monitor

Pros: Compact, and removable stand if you wish to use it's wall mount.

Cons: Speakers are weak, the controls are confusing. you can't quickly adjust speaker volume with out going though the menus. no HDMI.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall very good

Pros: Its a monitor that works for a good price (I bought it on sale for $80)

Cons: Around the outer edge there are small patches of plastic frill that weren't removed during production, but that comes off very easily.
The built in speakers work fine, but are too quiet if there is any amount of background noise.
The base has small no slip pads that don't seem to work very well.
The stock power cord is rather short, but I'm sure that won't be a problem once I set it up in a more permanent location.

Other Thoughts: Overall good, nothing wrong with it from a performance standpoint besides the built in speakers, just a few physical issues that aren't too bothersome

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything is great. I dont know why everyone is complaining about the viewing angles. It certainly does not affect me.

Cons: The colors seem a little faded but I havent messed around with the color settings yet.

4 out of 5 eggsNeeds tilt!

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Thin

Cons: - No tilt

Other Thoughts: I already knew this monitor didn't have tilt on it and when I first assembled it, it didn't want to go into the base, so I had to ask my father to smash it in with his (big) fist. Unfortunately, this meant it could NEVER come out again. When I finally decided I desperately needed it at least 10 degrees upward, I read the tutorial (on here) on how to make this thing tilt a little bit, but it only half worked--and I had to drill into the thing. It still works and it did tilt a little bit, but if the monitor had been easier to put into the base or, maybe a tilt was in this, it would have been perfect.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful viewing angle and colors

Pros: Inexpensive 20" LCD Monitor with built-in speakers

Cons: This monitor has awful viewing angles. You must sit eye level to the center, not top. This can cause major issues with people who need a ergonomic setup. Further, it can be an issue if you just need to look to the right or left of your monitor for a moment and look at the screen, you will not be able to see very well.

The blacks are washed out, almost grey like, no calibration could resolve this issue.

The contrast is just too high on the monitor, and the brightness lacks severely.
Avoid.

3 out of 5 eggsGood just not for mounting

Pros: Great value, great image, small bezel for the prize

Cons: If you put the VESA mount you won't be able to use the the audio line in due to the bracket covering the input and part of the DVI input aswell. HUGE flaw by HP, considering more than 70% of mounts are 75-100mm and not just 75 mm.

Other Thoughts: IF your not mounting your better of with the IPS monitor which is the same size (slower latency tho)
