1 out of 5 eggsCarly Fiorina legacy lives at HP

Pros: picture definition ,clarity , contrast equal to or better then my 2005 Nec Multi Sync LCD

Cons: this is a residual of when Carly let go HP's Blue Ribbon tech. staff & started pumping out 3rd World sewers looking for lowest dollar replacements.
"Their are not any features designed into this product.
To begin with ,where the new HP design staff originate from & the average hgt. is 5' 3" , a monitor that sits vert. a couple of inches above the top of the desk is no problem.
No monitor ajustments including off- on switch displayed on the front bottom bezel of this monitor, you have to tip this monitor on it's back, holding a flashlight to view the abrev. symbols , & button ajustments located on the underneath portion of the screen bezel.

Other Thoughts: What a shame to see one of Americas leaders in tech. premier companies going down the tubes

Cons: Not for serious gamers or video editors

2 out of 5 eggsHuh?

Pros: Cheapish, VESA mountable.

Cons: Everything about the one I got. Speakers are tinny. The view angle is Z-E-R-O. Can only be tilted. Blacks have a blues washed out hue and there is NO gamma adjustments in the OSD menu.

Other Thoughts: You basically have to change angles as you read. Almost looks like the LEDs are too bright or there is some kind of glare. There is no OSD gamma setting. I've tweaked my video cards setting a lot but it only helps a little. Picture is sharp but with the blueish, washed out blacks and no view angle it's hard on the eyes.

It's going back to the store. Just as well as it got me on here to find a replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money--

Pros: Didn't cost a lot
Much bigger than monitor it replaced
Decent picture

Cons: Speakers (but who expects much at this price point?)

Other Thoughts: I wanted a replacement monitor that didn't cost a lot--this fills the bill nicely. My next desktop will probably be a Mac and I really didn't want to sink a lot of bucks into a monitor I'd use 2-3 years. I'd kept using an old 17" monitor until my age and its age combined to where I couldn't see it. Picture is as good as you could expect at this price--much better than I had. Speakers aren't great, but again, what can you expect? I'm not a gamer, and the real estate consumed on my desk is more important to me than sound quality. If I'd been concerned with sound, I'd have bought speakers. These will be fine for the length of time I use them.

I paid $100 because I didn't want to wait for something I ordered to get here. I've seen it online for $90.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't complain

Pros: It's much bigger compared to my other monitor, which I purchased this one to match. 20 inches in my opinion is a nice sized monitor if you plan to be within 4 feet. It fits perfectly in my set up. The design isn't anything fantastic, but it's surely nothing to sneeze at. The frame is pretty thin, making it alright for dual-monitor setups like my own. The stand is firm, but easy to dissemble. The price and the fact that it matched my other monitor (HP LV1911) made it a perfect fit.

Cons: I had to search for cons whereas the pros just flowed. The stand doesn't tilt down, only up. This isn't really a problem since I sit fairly level to the monitor, but when I slouch I can see the display becoming greener but If I sit looking down on the monitor it looks brighter. Color fade isn't a problem I noticed in use, but when looking for it, it can be found. It only comes with a VGA cable, no DVI, I had to order one separately.

Other Thoughts: I got it for a very good price, and it does everything I expected. It's nothing special but it's nothing to shake a stick at.

5 out of 5 eggsGood video

Pros: I played some games on it and it worked fine. Adjustments are easy to make

Cons: Sound is as expected with these types of monitors, not good. But in a quiet environment work just fine.

No volume control on the OSD or as physical buttons.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine, but colors are a little dull

Pros: Great price as I got this on sale for $80. The 20 inches @ 1600 x 900 resolution is more than enough, and the 5ms response time is pretty quick for the price range.

Cons: The backlighting makes even the darkest black appear greyish.

Other Thoughts: Will probably read a few more reviews on color before purchasing another monitor in the future, as here I was really only looking for pixels per dollar. Overall, though, this was a great deal nonetheless.

5 out of 5 eggsHP W2072a

Pros: love it has great pic quality compared to my older monitor. Try setting the color to rgb looks better than standard color. just ordered a second one cost me 10 bucks more but still happy with the price i paid.

Cons: the speakers are weak. not worried about that cause i got external speakers so thats fine. i dont like that they dont include a dvi cable would really like that.

Other Thoughts: i got these cause i need a monitor for my gaming rig i built. i know its not the best monitor for gaming but i had a tight budget and this fit it perfectly. i did get a second one for gaming cause it does work really nice. i will however get a gaming monitor later on but for the price this is the best purchase i made.

5 out of 5 eggsGot it Cheap, No issues

Pros: - Got it on sale for $80
- Works as advertised

Cons: - Sadly didn't include a DVI cable in the box and we had to go out and hunt one down at the store. Inconvenient, but still at $80 I wasn't gonna cry over it.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for a second monitor for my wife. She's been seeing how I've used my second monitor and wanted in on it as well. We set it up and have had no issues with it at all.

Not sure where the viewing angle stuff came from in other reviews. I can can see the monitor just fine from across the room and I'm not the active user. My wife uses it as her second monitor and has no issues as well with it being off to the side.

It's not the best monitor in the world, but if you're just using it for a second screen and you get it for $80, I'd say it's well worth it.
