5 out of 5 eggsAwesome from HP

Pros: Like the size, cost, and connections available. It has great resolution and great adjustability

Cons: These slim monitors use a different power cable that puts a brick by your power outlet at the wall, but all brands do!

Other Thoughts: This is a good monitor for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good.

Pros: No dead pixels. Colors where perfect out of the box. Has multiple picture modes including gamer. Played a few 3d games on gamer mode, and there was no noticeable lag or ghosting. Also has a very wide viewing angle.

Cons: No cons on this one. This one hits the sweet spot of speed, responsiveness, resolution, and low price.

Other Thoughts: Glad i purchased this!

4 out of 5 eggsAfter 24 hours

Pros: GORGEOUS design, clarity and color. Easy setup. Good on-screen menu.

Cons: No opening for keyboard, mouse wires. Very cheap materials (see other thoughts);

Other Thoughts: My previous HP 20-inch had a metal base; this is ABS plastic. Talk about cutting corners! And what does it take to punch a hole in the base to allow some wire control?

But, as I said above, the graphics are wonderful, even with a VGA connection.

Be warned - firstly, you need a graphics adapter that can support 1920x1080. You might like your graphics bigger (to the eye) but that sort-of defeats the purpose of this monitor. For work, the idea is to have more open windows visible simultaneously. If you're mostly just watching videos/movies, you can set it differently. (Just my opinion.)

Secondly - without the right video card, especially an add-in with a lot of RAM, this will suck up your processing RAM noticeably. I have the max on my old HP (4GB) running Win7 and the delay in processing is noticeable, even with a GEForce 512MB video card. If you can put up with that, fine. But if you can spring for a "fat" video add-in card, you will get the most out of this excellent monitor without compromising your processing power too much.

By the way, the "busier" your desktop is, the more that will slow you down too, since the video software has more to refresh constantly.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: Visible with consistent intensity from any angle. No problems with ghosting. No dead pixels. Solid on the desk. Very slim edges improving dual-screen use.

Cons: Minor nit- no USB connections.

Other Thoughts: My prior monitor was satisfactory but already 5 years old. I did not realize how higher resolution and better visibility from multiple angles would reduce fatigue -- it does. At the current NewEgg price, this monitor is a steal.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Color, Blurry Display

Pros: -Decent Color
-No Glare
-IPS
-Nice looking monitor

Cons: -Anti-Glare coating makes the text and the entire screen in general very blurry, especially when used as a dual monitor to an iMac.

-Black levels NOT good- darkest black is still grey looking

-Video in the product listing makes display look glossy, but it is the complete opposite when you finally see the display in person- hate how companies always try to make their displays seem all sparkly and shiny rather than showing what the actual product looks like.

Other Thoughts: Overall a dissapointing blurry display with decent color but bad black levels. Will be returning this display for sure. Took a chance with this one due to the lack of reviews available and how new this product is.

If you're trying to get a monitor to go with your 21.5 iMac, this isn't a good choice in my opinion- there are better displays out there that won't give you a headache.

5 out of 5 eggsHP 22xi

Pros: IPS, tilt stand, HDMI, DVI, and Analog I/P's. Color calibration software included.
Overall a very nice monitor with a clean sharp image. Minimalist clean frame design & takes up less space (width) than most monitors this size.

Cons: Wish base was heavier.
