5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor I've used

Pros: - Lightweight
- Stunning quality
- Professional look
- Glossy
- 7ms response time doesn't hinder gaming experience
- Very stable base. None of that wobbly nonsense.

Cons: - No Speakers (no big deal for me)
- Vesa mounts have to be aftermarket

Other Thoughts: This is the greatest monitor I have ever used. Most people would say that 27" for a 1080 monitor is a waste. I disagree, I'm a young dude with good vision but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the quality of this screen without high pixel density.
I use it for gaming, photoshop, and coding. For all these purposes it works fine. I was worried that a 7ms response time would leave me yelling at my screen if I messed up in game. I'm happy to report that it doesn't effect the quality of my gaming experience.
As for photoshop, the colors are accurately represented. I've done work on other computer screens and they look so washed out and dull compared to this screen.
As for coding, you don't need any special screen. But this performs well and isn't tiring to look at.

When I say this monitor looks professional, I mean it. It stands out from anything else I've used. It's not the generic block with giant bezels and a boring matte screen. BLEH! Whenever I've seen this model in stores or in offices, it has a proud appearance around it. It's the star athlete in a boring line-up of little league players. It gives me a reason to like HP again.
It is worth mentioning I got this at an extremely low price during Black Friday. Currently Newegg lists this product at $400, if that is still the same price, it would be well worth the effort to save up for a higher resolution screen. Otherwise, look no further.

If you live in a building with 20 windows on every wall, need a vesa mount out of the box, or need a monitor with speakers, then keep looking. Still, I don't think the glare is that bad. The glossy appearance is definitely worth the crisp look. There are vesa adapters for this mount, so it is compatible, just not out of the box. As far as speakers, HP has similar model of monitors that have speakers built in. If it is truly imperative that you get speakers built in, look into those models.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor with Short Life

Pros: This monitor has a great display. It is reflective, but it isn't that bothersome. The colors don't appear washed out.

Cons: After about a year and a half, it started dying randomly and would require replugging to start. After two and a half years, it won't come on at all. I really didn't use it much in that time, so the actual life is probably quite a bit shorter with continuous use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat if you find it at a good price

Pros: Monitor is bright, stylish and has plenty of options for connectivity. I got this from a box retailer for $204 and am very happy with it. Colors are spot on and I feel like I can edit photos to better realism with it. I have an older HP 23" LCD that runs on CFL and has about 4400 hours on it. Brightness vs. the two is dramatic as are the colors. If you find this in the $200 range just get it. Great monitor.

Cons: The button/menu system takes some getting used too

Other Thoughts: Overall a good buy for an IPS panel.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor!

Pros: First of all let me say I purchased this monitor for $200 from office depot. Besides price it has a great sharp and vivid picture. Using it as my main monitor accompanied by an older 720p monitor. Also personally I love the cabinet in silver and a dash of black!

Cons: None so far

4 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: Nice looking and deep colors. Reflection could be an issue. Great monitor and no problems over 6 months. Only concern was not above 1080.

Looks great and glad I went with it until all the 4000k stuff settles.

Cons: All stands wobble I quess.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the 160 I paid for it. Would consider waiting for 1440 p plus if not needed now.

1 out of 5 eggsPretty / short life

Pros: Good appearance - almost Apple-like to go with my Mac Mini
Good color rendition
Would make a good (if expensive) IKEA furniture prop!

Cons: Dead in 18 months!
When waking up from sleep, it had been requiring me to power it off & on again for maybe 6 months. Today it's just dead (on 3 different computers). The power light lights up when plugged in, but that all.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Quality for Value

Pros: I received this as a gift when it was $160.00 off for a 72 hour sale.

The quality and size is unparalleled for the price. I was curious just how much of an upgrade this would be from a 23" monitor but I was blown away.

The image quality is bright and sharp, it's so good that it lets me spot imperfections in so called "hi-def" PC games.

Haven't noticed any "ghosting" either despite the 7ms delay.

Cons: No monitor adjustments aside from slight tilting, but you can't ask for that with the price range. The glossy screen might bother some people but I haven't noticed any problems with glare.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow-Up

Pros: So far it's had Perfect Performance, 100%. Got it back in February, 8 months later its still running like the day it was first turned on.!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Considering other reviews with less-than-stellar performance, I have to say that I've had no trouble with mine. But, I only use it at its native hd resolution and refresh.
Of course there are going to be some lemons but, when the amounts of a popular model like this are sold you don't get much input from the majority who never have even a single issue with theirs. That's why I came back to do an additional review. Really like mine a lot.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: none

Cons: Highly reflective screen. Very bad IPS glow. Poor blacks and washed out, low contrast look. Plasticky screen cover (which is suppose to be glass) is not fully attached. Cheap casing. Wobbly stand.
