4 out of 5 eggsGreat Entry Level HDTV

Pros: Although I wanted a larger TV, size was dictated by the opening in my cabinet. I have my HTPC running MCE2005 connected to this on the component inputs and the picture is excellent. Picks up HDTV over the air with inexpensive rabbit ears and picks up HDTV on Com*ast cable. Excellent reception on DTV side.

Cons: Marginal reception on Analog TV with antenna, better with cable.

Other Thoughts: This is the largest LCD TV I could find that would still fit in my cabinet. Price has been steady at $700 for a while, but dropped so I had to pick it up. Reviews are hard on the remote, and yeah, I have to agree somewhat with them. It isn't very sturdy, and buttons are a little hard to push, with terrible tactile feel. I have a universal remote, so it didn't matter :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood Find

Pros: Great Picture, Good sound.
Card\USB reader works excellent.

Cons: PIP works only between yellow inputs, s-Video and analog tv.
Not for the rest. Remote is little odd. No cycling through sources - gotta hit source - scroll up or down to your source, then hit enter. Buttons on top of unit are not labeled - gotta memorize that up and down is the volume and left and right is the channels ... or is it other way around?

Other Thoughts: My first LCD TV. I don't have much to compare it to, but I can't nitpick about picture and sound. I got some Russian/Polish cartoons on poor quality MPG and AVI's. I had to install special CODEC's to make 'em play on my PC. This TV read the without sweat!! They looked better on TV then on mo 19'' LCD PC monitor. I was impressed.

Pros: None so far I did get a good
response from their customer
support.

Cons: I opened up the box plugged it
in a 80% of the display was
unuseable I couldn't even access
the menu or input displays. I was
really hoping to watch the
superbowl on my new Q320. I
almost wish I would have went to
a department store and bought a
LCD. Now I have to deal with
sending it back.

Other Thoughts: It could of been dropped by UPS
If you have the option of using
another delivery company I would
as UPS just drops it off at your
front door. no signature required

5 out of 5 eggsGood HDTV

Pros: Excellent quality for the $$. I have had the TV for about 2 months now and am very pleased with the picture quality and overall design. I get over-the-air HD without any problems. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

Cons: Speakers are good, but could be better. Get some occasional popping sound, but only on certain channel. May just be the reception on the station?

4 out of 5 eggsGood features/product, bad support.

Pros: It has a nice image scaler/processor which is DCDi/Fraudja based( based on reviews from European model). So, picture quality for SDTV/S-video/composite sources really good as long as source has decent quality. I hardly see de-interlacing artifacts, streaking lines between frames. It has all the video/vga/dvi inputs you need. Seperate audio input for most. PC/DVI input is good supporting 1360x768 for both.

Cons: Black tones are not as good as you would expect. Scenes from older movies with darker/low light background will not be as good as you want. HDTV over the cable is not able to manage available channels properly. When feed is good HD channels looks sharp and bright. You are stuck with feed provided by broadcast companies. Unless you can put several of these TVs from different vendors, no easy way to compare. Programming guide is difficult to manage. Did not try OTA for HD channels, so no comment. Remote is sub-standart and does not make much sense the way it is designed. I wish Panny would come up with this TV.

Other Thoughts: I did not have any issues with my unit so far. I realize Hyundai ImageQuest is not having the best customer service and is not going to change soon. Rebate process is difficult and forms are misleading. My rebate is refused I don't know why. it has been 5 weeks, I am still waiting for a mail explaining the situation.

2 out of 5 eggsgood tv... if it works

Pros: The picture quality seems good, at least to me. Detachable speakers are nice, although they are a bit bulky. Lots of inputs on the back. Menu system is easy to use.

Cons: This TV worked great... for about 2 hours. Then green pixels and lines started to appear in the image. Eventually the picture became completely distorted, and after a few more days no image would show up at all. Emails to Hyundai were answered by someone who obviously has very little command of the english language. They are replacing my unit with a new one, but who knows if that will work?

Other Thoughts: Overall I would NOT recommend this TV. The features and image quality are good enough, but from my own experience (and others) it looks like the quality is just not there. If I could return this TV, I would, and get a more reliable brand instead.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great TV, Picture is sub par quality compared to newer LCD TV's of the same size. Sound is fair. Plenty of connections in the back for just about everything you need. Menu could have been done better but overall it let's you get what you want done. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give this TV a 4. there are alot of better TV's out there.

Cons: TV went into some factory Programing mode and was unusable for about 3 days while I searched the web for info on this. To make matters worse the remote had failed after only 2 months and 3 buttons did not work at all. the remote was still usable but to get into the factory programing mode one of the buttons that stopped working was required. Hyundai uses a wierd IR evidently as none of my newer universal remotes would work. Fortunatly a friend had a Harmoney remote he let me borrow and I was able to get into the factory programming mode and reset everything to default. Hyundai did send me a replacement remote ... BUT when the old remote that I sent back got lost in the mail they Threatend me with expiring my warranty. Quote " we send you a new remote on ( date ) , also we have not received you old remote, you have 10 days to return the remote or your warranty for your tv will be expired" all of this in caps for effect I think.

Other Thoughts: I would not purchase this TV for 3 reasons
1 . Can get alot better now. this tv is going on it's 2nd year or more of manufacture ( technology is old )

2. Price is too high for what you get in the TV and support.

3. really bad customer support

4 out of 5 eggsGood TV - But...

Pros: Great price, excellent picture. I haven't had any problems with the built-in tuners.

Cons: Major negative: the Monitor output will ONLY output for the built-in tuners and the composite video input. It will NOT output sound from your component, DVI or VGA inputs. This means that if you want to use this tv with hi-def sources, you'll have to switch the audio some other way.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: I love it ! It looks nice. I use it as my computer monitor. I wish I would have bought a smaller one though.

Cons: It is ok for video games, responce time is 8ms I wish I would have bought a 5ms. Dvd's and hd programs look nice. But standard tv looks pretty bad.
It is very bright and when I turn down the brightness pictures and programs look bad.I would not buy again for a computer monitor, only because it is to big, and the brightness isue.

Other Thoughts: Over all, I am happy with this tv. newegg shipped very fast recieved in 3 days.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat LCD

Pros: Arrived in perfect condition w no dead pixels. Sharp HD picture. Lots of useful features and connections. Had built in USB drive and camera card reader. Super clean looking black bezel w removable and decent speakers. Subwoofer connection.

Cons: Universal remote hard to find for Hyundai and Hyundai remote code does not work for my $cientific Atl cable box. PIP does not work for all input combos.

Other Thoughts: Clean install with PREMIER AM2 Universal Swingout Arm for LCD. Glad I got 32" instead of smaller for my small home office. Good manual, but Hyundai needs to post it on their website so you can see what all it can do. PC D-Sub input supports 1024x768 not 1366... Also have a Hyundai L90D+ 19" LCD monitor for over a year that has been perfect.
