3 out of 5 eggsBlack looks grey

Pros: Mag makes a decent monitor.

Cons: This is really why i am posting a comment.....The black on this monitor is horrible! It's more grey then anything else. Very splotchy.

Other Thoughts: Overall, for the price, it's not a bad monitor.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This thing is much bigger then I expected. dwarfs my heavyweight monitor by a good bit. The colors are fairly good after messing around, as well as the images are crisp.

Cons: The mounting plate is sturdy enough, but the screw took a little bit of wd40 to get in there properly. No installation CD and the company website seems to give me some rather loud warnings from my spyware programs, and I couldn't even download a driver for it.

3 out of 5 eggsOK pic quality for price, but poorly placed VESA 75 mounting holes

Pros: Very thin, very light. Good value for money, considering LED backlighting.

Cons: As one reviewer noted, the 75mm x 75mm VESA mount is poorly placed: Most multi-monitor stands include larger mounting plates/brackets compatible with VESA 75 and 100 mm.

The placement of the VESA screw holes in this particular monitor will cause the plates/brackets of the monitor stand to block the power adapter port.

So, not recommended for mounting on multi-monitor stands, unless the stand has smaller VESA 75 x 75 brackets (as opposed to more common and larger VESA 75 + 100 compatible brackets, like in Planar 997-5253-00 Black Dual Monitor Stand).

Unfortunately, I did not realize this until I got the monitor and tried to mount it on the monitor stand . . . .

Other Thoughts: My unit came with one dead pixel, but that didn't bother me as much as the poor placement of the VESA mount in relation to the power port.

1 out of 5 eggs6 months later... Good Price, horrible picture

Pros: Lightweight, relatively thin bezels, very thin (depth),.. Cheap. (WARNING: you get what you pay for)

Cons: DVI/VGA inputs are poorly placed, uses 75mm x 75mm VESA mounts instead of more common 100mm. Causes installation issue with many (if not most) mounting systems that require modification of the mounting bracket. LED bleed through is absolutely horrible. Screen picture has deteriorated almost to the point where the display is nearly unmanageable.

Other Thoughts: Coming up on 6 months of using 2 of these LED 21.5" MAG GML2226 and wow, just wow.. the blacks are horrid, light bleed is absolutely horrible. Looks as though "grey sploches" are over the screens. Friends saw displays for 1st time a few days back and asked if they were "supposed to like that way". Pictures can't really capture the issue. I tried to upload a video review however Newegg apparently refused to post it.
Of course the one time I DONT buy an extended warranty through newegg..

2 out of 5 eggsouch

Pros: the stand isn't as bad as people say. it's really thin. it looks pretty sexy. it's 1080p and cheap with LED backlighting.

Cons: something about the picture quality seemed off. also, i was expecting LED backlighting to be better. oh, and there was A GIANT YELLOW LINE running through my screen. that's why it gets two eggs. aside from the GIANT YELLOW LINE running down the screen, it was okay.

Other Thoughts: THERE WAS A GIANT YELLOW LINE RUNNING DOWN THE SCREEN. now i have dealt with A LOT of monitors. many of them were old and bad. but i have never had an issue like that. if i could get a refund i would because this tells me there was some terrible engineering at play, but i'll settle for an RMA. after all, it is 1080p with LED backlighting. but i'm nervous about the fact my first had A GIANT YELLOW LINE RUNNING DOWN THE SCREEN and it might do it after the warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsGood Price, horrible picture

Coming Soon!

Pros: Price (WARNING: you get what you pay for)
Light, wafer thin. Very small bezels for multimonitor setups.

Cons: Screen picture has deteriorated almost to the point where the display is nearly unmanageable. Will be contacting Newegg 1st then manufacturer about replacement/refund if possible..

Pictures can't really capture the issue however I have added a video to show it as best I could.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is my review title

Pros: Good price, especially with a 10% discount
Nice, sleek look with a small bezel
Flat stand, so you can put stuff on it
Good display from what I can see
Very thin and pretty light

Cons: Like others are saying, the stand is junk. Mine wobbles a little and the hinge wobbles a little too. There are also no ways to adjust it from what I can see.
Ports are badly placed; it's kind of difficult to connect cables because they go perpendicular to the screen, as opposed to perpendicular to the bezel or parallel to the screen.
The VGA connection maxed out at 1600x1050 for me for some reason; DVI went up to 1920x1080 though.
The buttons are flimsy.
Smells kind of funny.

Other Thoughts: Most of the problems are one time things you'll probably only notice when you're setting up the monitor. Nothing really worth taking off an egg for, unless this stand just falls apart somehow (probably not too unlikely, actually...).
I didn't have any of the color problems other people are mentioning.
I liek mudkipz

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low price, especially for LED backlighting. No light bleed affecting the border. High resolution with quick refresh.

Cons: The color setup is a bit tricky and can take a while.
I owned this monitor for about three months before a yellow line permanently made itself at home on my screen.

Other Thoughts: I wish I could have bought the replacement for it, but it's too late now. Even when you take good care of a product, things can still go wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsLittle Bleedthrough

Pros: Clean look. Small border. No overly annoying bright leds.

The auto detect works very well for clock adjustment when using VGA. I guess this is expected but I've seen monitor fail with this respect.

Can be tuned very bright, a nice option for those using it in very bright areas.

Cons: Some noticeable backlight bleedthrough and this is the primary reasons it goes not get full rating.

Most of the color presets are horrible only one is usable and its still not perfect. Manual tuning is an option though, for those with patience.

Adjusting brightness requires one to open the menu, cannot just use the arrow buttons. Many other monitors get this right.

5 out of 5 eggsNice & bright

Pros: Bright and clear display. No ghosting. Game-play is nice out of the box.

Cons: Needs some color adjustments for photoshop but thats to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these, one had a bad pixel (red stuck on). Not sure why others think the stand on this is bad? It's very sturdy, no chance of breaking or tipping like some other LCD's I've had/used.
