This review is from: TRIVIEW by Tatung TS17R-MU02 Black 17" Dual serial/USB ELO 5-wire Resistive Touchscreen Monitor 300 cd/m2 without touchscreen 240 cd/m2 with touchscreen 700:1 Built-in Speakers
Pros: Installed 2 of these so far at a movie theater for Point of Sale terminals. Resistive touchscreen is decent, integrated speakers, and excellent cable management (if you have the cables running down through the desk via a hole). 1280x1024 resolution is great as well. If you aren't sure what that means, it is a similar image quality to 1080p, but in a non-widescreen format.
Cons: Integrated speakers sound tinny, but it probably won't matter if you are using it for a point of sale terminal.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you get the USB version, NOT the PS/2 version. The PS/2 MSR version can not be programmed on most motherboards, because of issues in the software. Read closely in the descriptions. The USB is newer technology, faster, and the same exact price. We fought with TatungUSA tech support for over a month trying to get the PS/2 units straightened out, and finally returned them for USB models.
