4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: I've owned this monitor for about 8 months now. I EFFIN LOVE IT. It has an simple menu. Crisp Picture, great color, no ghosting. The base alone is strong enough to use as a murder weapon.

I've been able to connect 2 different PC's to this monitor, one via D-SUB the other via HDMI. The menu will allow you to switch back and forth. Before I connected the PC's this way I wondered if there would be a software limitation preventing me from using the ports independently in this manner.

Cons: The sound quality out of the speakers is pretty awful.

For lack of a better word.....the sleeve inside the monitor's HDMI port actually came out, still attached to the hdmi cable when having to swap out the HDMI cable for a new one. I dont know if this was a defect with my monitor in particular or the model itself. I'm also not sure if this was because I'm frequently having to adjust the angle of the monitor from left to right depending on my needs for a particular situation. It's possible I've been pulling on that cable too much for too long and something had to give. For this reason I'm giving it 4 eggs instead of 5.

No DVI - not a big deal, I'm just being greedy. It just would have been nice to have that in addition to the D-SUB and HDMI.

Other Thoughts: V7 as a name brand might not sound familiar but the company behind this product has been around for a very long time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Monitor

Pros: Never own a LCD screen before, was a bit scare that the brightness wasn't going to be bright enough for the spec it have. But I am happy with the brightness. To be able to choose what input you want to use is a plus for me. If you are worry about the size of the pixel pitch, I wouldn't worry about it. It's a good size. When change resolution, the auto adjusting that monitor does is another plus. Don't have to deal with making the screen fit correctly.

Cons: don't really have any cons for it.

Other Thoughts: If you debating to buy this monitor, but never heard this brand before and afraid of taking a chance on it. You wouldn't regret it. I was thinking the same thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor for the Money.

Pros: Nice image, color, brightness.
Cheap, got it from officemax for 329.99

Cons: Limited viewing angle. But I have no problem since I sit in front of it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor

Pros: -good colors
-brightness more than enough unless you like surfing the web on the beach
-portrait mode great for websites and PDFs
-HDMI input so can use as TV with an external receiver
-sturdy stand that allows easy maneuvering of monitor
-simple and intuitive control menu
-simple design with thin bezel
-price

Cons: -viewing angles are limited. You will have to sit in front of the monitor to get the best out of it
-short cables

Other Thoughts: I am happy with the purchase. Although viewing angles are limited, portrait mode makes viewing websites and PDFs much better.

4 out of 5 eggsFor games and movies.

Pros: -Fast response time (no ghosting)

-Vibrant colors, nice picture quality (when adjusted correctly)

-Very little light bleeding (only noticible in a pitch black room with a black background looking from an angle)

-High quality stand (Tilt, swivel & pivot..Very sturdy as well)

-No dead pixels

-Excellent price for what it is..Great for movies and fast paced games.

-Gaming at 1920x1200 res looks sweet!

Cons: -Low refresh rate (60 Hertz) I don't think it's a big deal though.

-Input lag? (When I wiggle a window on the desktop around really fast it splits up into 3 seperate parts horizontally. I also notice this when I look directly at a corner in a FPS game and wiggle the mouse side to side quickly the corner splits up into seperate parts. It doesn't effect my gameplay at all though.

-Default colors are washed out (easily fixed by a changing the colors in nvidia panel)
Use this config (Brightness=+43%,Contrast=+100%,Hue=+53%,Sat=+58, Edge= +50%)

-From 1440x900 to 1920x1200 res I lost roughly 20-25fps in games.

Other Thoughts: I play Call Of Duty 4 MP, Day Of Defeat: Source, Battlefield 2, Team Fortress 2. This thing doesn't skip a beat. From intense close range combat to long range moving targets it does a great job. I have all of these games on high settings with 4X AA @ 1920x1200 (50-120 frames per second) , it looks excellent. Except for COD4 I have AA disabled but, it still looks great.

Specs: Q6600 CPU, 8800GTS 640MB GPU, 2GBs RAM, 700W PSU, P35 MB.

I'll review lat

3 out of 5 eggsNo RMA for Bad Pixels

Pros: Nice big screen, high resolution, great stand which allows for 90 degree clockwise rotation. Comes with software which rotates the output. Budget priced

HDMI port works with my PS3.

Cons: 2 bad pixels in top left corner. Called V7 customer support, learned that they don't issue RMA unless there are 6 or more bad pixels.

Other Thoughts: At least there weren't 5 bad pixels, right?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good colors, great stand, no ghosting/tearing, user defined overdrive options (0-5), no dead pixels.

Cons: Short cables (as another reviewer wrote).
Online gaming (quake 3) suffers from input lag (although this does not seem to affect non-online games).
Backlight bleeding prominent on left/ right, and bottom.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad panel for the price.
If there was not any input lag in online games, I would have given this a 5.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: First of all the stand is the best I have seen for this type of monitor. Second, the menu is super easy to use, and has a lot of options. And finally, the picture on this monitor is great.

Cons: Not a whole lot of connections. And the cables are short.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HDMI Monitor for money

Pros: It is a 24" hdmi monitor, cheap but, with all you would expect from a hdmi product.

Cons: None so far as I can see

Other Thoughts: I play online gaming and expected it to be different. Well, it turned out to be a very good monitor for me. My games went twice as fast as it usually does. Make sure to use the cable it came with for hookups. Set your video cards to the highest settings the video card with allow. This clears up your colors. Re-configure your game settings. This monitor worked out great for me.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Tilt, swivel, moves in all directions. The stand is very sturdy. The housing of the LCD is made of nice solid materials. No dead pixels. The stand installs in a snap and can be removed just as easy. The color and sharpness of the images on this LCD are nice. I had a 940 bx from Samsung and this is just as good if not better picture quality. I did some research on this product before buying. I know I made the right choice on the quality of the graphics and of the product.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The specs didn't say this but this comes with a DVI to HDMI cord. I played 2142 with it and no problem running it in 1920x1200 with a 88 GTX Ultra. I have also played Oblivion with it and again very pleased. With the price drop this is a very nice LCD for the money.
