2 out of 5 eggsHorrible customer support

Pros: It's a 19" LCD Monitor

Cons: it had 5 stuck pixels, 4 in a row and one right beside them, all red. I tried all the tools and ways to unstick them, but they didn't work. X2GEN accepted my RMA, but when it was to be delivered there it said their address changed. When I try to call, it says their mailbox is full (no one answers). I also haven't heard a response to two of my e-mails in over a week.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy from this company again, and would not recommend them to anyone else. We'll see if they actually come through on this RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsWell Worth it for the price!

Pros: This is probably one of the best for the price, no dead/stuck pixels, Clear vivid images very sharp, games look excellent as well as movies...if your looking for an affordable widescreen this is it!

Cons: Afraid my Cat will knock it over and wreck it..

Other Thoughts: Considering how "most" lcd's built in speakers are not superb, these do pretty darn good...i dont use them but have to test what you got!

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad monitor

Pros: Bright screen, great colors, no dead/stuck pixels. Cheap. I don't seem to have the light bleed the first reviewer noted, as my testing didn't display any defects. So picture quality is a plus, construction quality is a minus.

Cons: Well it's cheap, you'll realize that before you open the box, the thing weighs almost nothing. The stand really is atrocious, as mine wants to tilt to the side, but for the cost, it's worth it.

Other Thoughts: Soon as I powered it on I knew I'd have to change the brightness/contrast. From the factory it's set way too high. I turned down the brightness to about 45 and bumped the contrast to 60 or so, and changed the color temp to 9300k and it looks quite nice. Though if you've got alittle bit more to spend I'd say look at the 20.1" monitors myself.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Good image, very bright, a full 19". No ghosting as far as I can tell. Good enough stand that tilts. My GeForce3 Ti200 supported 1440x900 as soon as I plugged it in, but I do have new drivers. Comes with VGA, power and audio cables.

Cons: 2 dead pixels. A green and red pixel directly adjacent to each other, so it kind of just looks like 1 dead pixel. X2Gen seems to sell a lot of monitors with some dead pixels. I wanted speakers for mobile sound, but they really are terrible. Good, comfy headphones are better for mobility. Does not come with DVI cable.

Other Thoughts: I had a few requirements: 1 Cheap 2 Widescreen 3 at least 19" 4 16.7 million colors because I want photoshop and movies to be in their true colors. With those requirements , this is the only choice anywhere near this price. This will change with time. Also, I have been fixing my dead pixels with JScreenFix and they are definitely getting better.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Bang for the Buck

Pros: This monitor has a crisp, bright screen. Mine had no dead/stuck pixels. It also does not exhibit the "ghosting" effect that many other LCD monitors do during game play. Games with widescreen support (like Halflife2, Quake 4, Serious Sam 2) look absolutely gorgeous on this monitor. I'm VERY pleased with its performance.

Cons: The built-in speakers are total garbage. But I use headphones anyway.

There is some bleed-through from the backlight along the top and bottom edges of the screen. But it's only noticeable when there are large blocks of solid color near the top/bottom of the screen.

Other Thoughts: Even though the monitor has a DVI port, it doesn't include a DVI cable. It does, however, include a VGA cable.

The screen is also very bright. I had to turn down the brightness quite a bit.

The 1440x900 resolution is not a standard resolution. In order to run the monitor at 1440x900, I had to define a custom resolution in my computer's advanced display properties.
