Pros: Bright picture. 5ms response time makes for smooth video playback. Excellent price. Overall a very good monitor.

Cons: One dead pixel. Speakers died after 7 months.

5 out of 5 eggsI <3 it WOOT

Pros: It's huge , plenty of realestate, looks great, colors are all correct and balanced, NO DEAD Pixels !!!! Can't beat the price.

Cons: Ok OK I'll just go ahead and say it... NO DVI cabel. not really a big deal come on people they're like 10 bucks

Other Thoughts: The box was a little beat up but that could have been from the worm hole New egg used to ship it. I used standard 3 day shipping and it arrived the next day OVERNIGHT for the price of 3 day. Thank you New Egg and quantum physics.

4 out of 5 eggsContented

Pros: Great Specs that live up to their numbers, Great price.

Cons: Dead pixels seem to be more common than in brand name products. Mine has 1 bright blue pixel near the center of the screen, its a bummer but not a deal breaker.

5 out of 5 eggsNice update

Pros: I have the previous 22in x2Gen with the round base - the updated one looks sharper, same great picture and brighness - no dead pixels one either after all this time

Cons: Doesn't come with a DVI cable - but you can get one - it's the little things that that that make this one of the cheaper 22s

Other Thoughts: Brighter than any LCD I've used -not good for bright offices, but GREAT for darkend gamer rooms *L*

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Has a very small foot print on the table. None of the cables are hardwired and was very easy to setup.

Cons: I would have to agree with others about the placement of the connections.

Other Thoughts: I'm running 1600x1200 though I could run 1680x1020. Anything higher is out of range. Hoping to get the DVI cable soon also to get a clearer picture.

3 out of 5 eggsIt seems just as cheap as it is

Pros: It is Cheap for its specs.

Once running it looks great. If I start it up and then dont let my system go on stand bye it will work great. Looks great on games, videos, etc.

Cons: It physically feels flimsy and cheap.

The screen has issues receiving a source if you do not turn it on before you turn on the system etc. The issues persist if your system goes to stand bye or hibernation.

I see random glitches and pixelation on the left side from time to time. When I boot up at first the screen bugs out and shows large black lines for a few seconds.

I constantly worry that it will die due to these glitches.

Other Thoughts: Spend 30 dollars more and get a higher quality name brand LCD that is issue free.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Really bright and good contrast, hard to find on a monitor in this price range. Nice and large however if you move too far about in either direction you lose the picture not bad though. Plan on buying two more, it's well worth the money.
The HD 1080p looks awesome, I download movies and TV shows and this thing rocks, it's better than my HD projector!

Cons: Colors are hard to get just right and the speakers suck, pretty quiet and allot of treble, but then again I didn't buy it for the speakers :D

Other Thoughts: If you want a good low cost monitor or like me want several nice big screens this is it. For some allot of other monitors that are 22" you will pay 3x, so I can buy three of these and have an awesome setup for a great price.

4 out of 5 eggsX@GEN 22" LCD Monitor

Pros: Great monitor for the price.

Cons: Shipping box was not adequately supported. Box came pretty out of shape, but the monitor survived. Newegg should have put this in another box and charge a bit more to cover it, rather than risking a return item from damage during shipping and the customer's dissatisfaction.

3 out of 5 eggsHrmmm

Pros: Indeed large.

Cons: - Worst speaker quality ever since in a LCD monitor.
- NO DVI cable?? HUH??
- Colors are off. Had to set RGB to 40-50-40. And RED still bleeding some.
- "5 ms" monitor and yet can't get it higher than 60hz? (5ms suppose to be 100hz?) Could it be my vcard? doubt it..

Other Thoughts: X2gen... unknown brand..
Not a show off monitor.
