Oh My
- Pros: Beautiful color display. High quality finish. Features. Fast response time (I've played my games without ghosting). No dead pixels. Did I mention a beautiful display?
- Cons: Price. OSD Controls are rather touchy.
- Other Thoughts: Went from a Dell 2001FP to this. Should have done it sooner. No comparison. This monitor is just gorgeous. I've never seen anything like it and I own a few LCD's. Widescreen is cool and this is just a pleasure to look at. I feel that I got my money's worth since this thing costs more than it's peers. Well maybe it has no peers. I can't really say but I'm happy with it. We know Asus makes quality motherboards and they applied that thinking to this monitor. Are the OSD buttons buttons are finnicky? Yes they are. Do I access them often? No. As with all my LCD's, I needed to adjust the gamma using your video drivers. Try that before turning down the brightness. It's worked for me. Newegg is solid. Tried to buy from another vendor but just BS. Not worth the couple of $ savings. I learned, support the guys with the reputation.
- Pros: Solid construction. Great design. Easy to set up. No dead pixels. The screen and bezel are glossy have a beautiful, rich look. Very bright. Excellent picture (using 6600GT video card). DVDs mmovies look very good. The built-in presets (theater mode, etc.) work well with DVDs.
I like the USB hub. I have not used the webcam yet, but it's pretty cool. You can adjust it 30 degrees up/down.
Played Half-life 2 and it was unbelievable. Coloers are rich and no ghosting.
- Cons: Bundled documentation is only a quick-start pamphlet. It does not direct you to where you can find a full manual. Found it fairly quickly on the ASUS site, though.
Speakers are not so great, but who buys it for the speakers?
The touch controls for the menu settings take a little getting used to. It takes just the right amount of pressure, or else its non-responsive or jumps to the wrong setting.
- Other Thoughts: I feeel that it was well worth the money. I plan to get a TV card and check out the Picture in Picture feature soon.

Gorgeous A-
- Pros: This is a GORGEOUS monitor. Crisp graphics, excellent colors, didn't have to do (much) customization out of box. Profile mode is excellent as I use this as a secondary monitor on my primary rig. Shows spreadsheets and code very well while I look at execution on my main monitor. Touch controls are very slick, but do tend to show fingerprints on the polished bezel. The blue 'on' LED doesn't blind you as some other monitors tend to do.
- Cons: VERY large bezel; 1" top/bottom, 2" left/right. Takes up about as much space as a 22" monitor due to this. Also because of the oversize, it doesn't pivot from landscape to profile as easily as some of the HP monitors, you just have to lean it back so the axis of rotation is no longer over the base. The Power adapter for this unit is similar to a laptop, not built in like most monitors these days. This is probably due to the multiple inputs, but it does make it a bit more difficult to use if you tend to move your monitors around a lot.
- Other Thoughts: I do not use the web-cam, so no comments there. Touch controls take some getting used to, but work well for me. Multiple inputs is a neat feature, but I'll probably never use them. Overall a nice solid A- for minor nit picky issues.
possessed
- Pros: Beautiful display
Multiple Input options Menu is fairly nice (but not the controls)
- Cons: The controls are _very_ finnicky. So much so it can render the display useless for minutes on end until it decides it wants to cooperate. Whenever I turn it on the volume drops down to zero. After a few minutes the scene modes start rotating rapidly then it switches over to s-video all by itself. Thus far it has done that a couple dozen times, and it is completely unusable for over half an hour.
- Other Thoughts: The display is very beautiful, but its attitude more then spoils the relationship.

So far so bad
- Pros: - VA panel (Not TN)
- Good color - Cool touch panel - S-video/composit in - speakers - built in webcam
- Cons: - Touch panel control doesnt work well
- Broken in 34 days - I have to pay one way shipping to send the monitor back for repair
- Other Thoughts: Do not buy LCD from ASUS. I had better luck with Dell and Samsung
