The WXGA+ panel on Asus' VW193T monitor displays the 1440x900 resolution with a 300cd/m² brightness rating and a 1600:1 Asus Smart Contrast Ratio for exceptional picture quality. They have included a DVI port along with the D-Sub port so you can take advantage of the advantages that digital brings. Built in speakers help you conserve space by eliminating the need to have a separate set on your desk.
Asus has taken their Splendid Video Intelligence Technology that they developed for their video cards and adapted it for their monitors. There are three preset skin tone modes-natural, reddish and yellowish that you can choose to compensate for different recordings and applications. There is also a hot-key based image enhancement mode that optimizes your display for movies, games, night time images and scenery shots.

Excellent Monitor
- Pros: Awesome monitor. Switched from a 17 inch CRT monitor. The difference is amazing. I'll never go back to a CRT monitor. Easy to assemble. The display slides right onto the base. Comes with cool cord holder.
- Cons: Come with some stickers that are easy enough to take off. Speakers aren't the best but I didn't buy this for the speakers.
- Other Thoughts: Asus + Newegg = Win
Sweet.
- Pros: No dead pixels, a lot of features, the "Spelndid" presets are nice, big/sturdy stand, very sharp image, comes with VGA and DVI cable, Crysis and World in Conflict look amazing on this monitor.
- Cons: None as of yet.
- Other Thoughts: This is a very good monitor for not that much money. If you are looking for a somewhat cheap monitor to make the jump from CRT to LCd, I HIGHLY recommend this ASUS monitor. I don't know how the onboard speakers sound, as I haven't, nor will I probably ever, use them. I have a nice set of Logitech speakers that I use instead.

Good one after MIR
- Pros: Good quality for the price(after MIR); easy setup; very fast delivery
- Cons: Just as many review mentioned, there would be slight flicker lines when "loading" pictures, web pages, or initiating apps
Good Monitor For A Great Price
- Pros: 89.99 after MIR and FS so you cant beat the price for a monitor of this size. Looks good. I built a rig for uncle with this to replace his old system and a 15" crt so he is very impressed.
- Cons: although not nearly as hard to set colors as others have let on it looked horrible before i spent th 5 or so miniutes to do so. Alos doesnt compare to the 40" 1080p lcd i have on my gaming/htpc/folding machine.
- Other Thoughts: tried to get uncle to buy a 1080p 32in lcd as i have a freind who with discounts could get one for 345$ but he decided to have me build pc now with cheap monitor and at tax time get a tv. if you have the money buy a big lcd tv or even better yet big lcd monitor crysis/fallout3/gta4 are so much nicer when playing from the couch
