Pros: I've owned this monitor for several years and other than the webcam, it has performed brilliantly every day. It is bright, crisp, responsive, and attractive, so far as monitors go.

Cons: No microphone! What's up with that??? Other brands that I have seen have a microphone built in but this on does not. Doesn't make a bit of sense.
The webcam began working erratically after 6 months. Soon it got so bad that I had to purchase a separate webcam (with built in mic) to make SKYPE calls. This part was a HUGE disappointment

Other Thoughts: If you can get one of these monitors on sale, on clearance, or just cheap, you won't be disappointed in its performance as a monitor. DO NOT buy it of you are thinking the built in webcam is a deal breaker.
Had I known, it would have been a deal breaker for me and it would not be sitting in front of me right now.

Pros: was good when worked

Cons: just 3 years and dead after the warranty was expired...Coincidence???

Pros: Crisp clean colors, no dead pixels. Sound works well, we shall see for how long... The built camera must use the newer chips, because it is doing 24fps at max res.
The HDMI port connection was tight, so it being vertical and possibly coming loose is not a concern.

Cons: The base is a bit weak. It doesn't bow or anything, but if bumped it does 'sway' a lot and takes a while to settle down.

Other Thoughts: For the $ a VERY good deal.

Pros: Beautiful resolution, easy set-up, great webcam.

Cons: No Microphone? Seriously? Good grief!

Other Thoughts: I guess I'm the stupid one for assuming a monitor with these technical features, a webcam, and at this price would include a mic.

Cons: Arrived DOA. Fine, that happens. Asus support says they won't cover first 30 days because Newegg will cover it. I am not paying return shipping on a factory defect. After speaking to supervisor they agreed to replace via RMA and contact within 48 hours. 3 calls and 10 days later I still have not heard back.

Other Thoughts: Asus products normally work great for me. I understand occasional DOA but replacement should not be this painful.

Other Thoughts: Note: When remove the plastic scratch guard remember that the webcam has no covering so note that do not try to remove it u will scratch the cover permenantley.

Pros: Good screen quality, speakers are OK but not great.

Cons: Expensive compared to other monitors, Webcam is useless because there's no mic.

Other Thoughts: What was ASUS thinking? I bought this monitor for a client because they wanted a webcam, and now I have to tell them that it does not include a mic. What a joke.

Pros: Clear and crisp picture, no 'jabba-the-hut' distortion like some of the cheapos I have used.

Cons: Sound is adequate for normal OS messages and such. If you want to listen to music then buy separate speakers.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the camera and probably won't, not into that sort of thing.

3. Built-in Speakers sound echoey ( they sound like old laptop speakers. but hey, what can you expect.)

Other Thoughts: I think they should up the Resolution to 1080p and keep the same price. If you an afford it go for the 1080p monitors but this one looks beautiful anyways. Works great for em. It was so bright at 80% that i had to turn it down to 60%. Seems like it would do VERY well in a bright room.
