Pros: Purchased 12/26/08 and this monitor has been through every PC build I've done since then and still hasn't been retired. Still looks great for it's age and the pixels are all working splendidly.

This monitor has proven itself a great buy for 4 years and while I'm planning to retire it soon off to the corner I have to give ASUS their props for this monitor that still has a better picture quality than the monitors/tvs most people are using today.

Cons: None, this monitor has been running almost 24/7 for 4 years and hasn't had a single hiccup.

Other Thoughts: Planning to finally upgrade monitors and I think I'm going to go to 1920x1200 if I can get a 27". 1920x1080 didn't really get popular until 2012 and since I got this guy in 08 it's probably about time I moved up a bit to stay ahead of the curve.

Pros: Initially good value
Good monitor for gaming

Cons: Died @ 4 years, I expected this to last a lot longer. I have several monitors that are years older that are still chugging.

Cons: There is a beautiful line of dead pixels on the side of the screen.

Other Thoughts: Other users seem to have similar problems so don't buy this piece of garbage monitor that will have dead pixels within a month of use...

Pros: 2 ms response
no bad pixels (dead or otherwise)
1920x1080 native resolution

still works great and i bought it in late of 2009

Cons: Controls for the contrast, brightness etc are on the right side of the monitor not under or over it which can be a little annoying if you have something next to it on the right side (which is why this monitor lost 1 egg imho)

The speakers installed on the monitor i never used, but i never bought it on intending to use the speakers built onto it for anything.

Other Thoughts: I would buy another ASUS monitor in a heart beat once they build one that is higher resolution then 1980x1024 with 2 ms GTG response.

Still looking for a good monitor that is 2560x1600 and not cost a car to purchase.

Asus, a great manufacturer of electronics even if their website tends to hang; the company is doing a great strive for quality.

Pros: Picture quality is amazing.
I like the look of the monitor

Cons: Stuck pixel when installed.
NO DRIVERS EXIST FOR THIS MONITOR.

Other Thoughts: Bad speaker sound, but it is a monitor. So who cares?

Pros: -Some of the cleanest Quality Picture I've ever seen.
-Has all the ports and features I need or want
-Awesome price for how good it is

Cons: -Stock speakers sometimes make a buzzing vibration noise if they're turned up above 60
-It's not on sale anymore

Other Thoughts: I'm So sad it's not on sale anymore. I was planning on buying another one, but now I'll have to look for something else ;_;

Pros: The 2 ms response time is great for gaming on a console or PC.

Cons: Its built in speakers are pretty weak.

Pros: Very nice screen, good quality materials yet lightweight. Looked perfect right out of the box. Great value!

Cons: The top is not level so you can't mount some webcams, microphones, or speakers onto the screen.

While I almost never have to use them, the buttons being on the (right) side of the screen is less than ideal for use in multi-screen configurations.

Other Thoughts: I don't get why one would want the buttons on the vertical side of the screen, it seems more limiting than having them on the bottom.
The top being slanted is limiting, seemingly ignoring the wide variety of accessories which have been designed for flat top monitors.

Nevertheless, I like this screen and would buy another if my secondary screen finally dies.

Pros: This monitor was the best monitor out there for the money. It's a shame they deactivated it. The speakers are decent and the 2ms response time is exactly what I need while playing games. I have been using this for my computer as well as my xbox. I was glad it was HDCP ready.

Cons: It's a little slow to switch between connected video cables. Also, the buttons to change the volume and brightness randomly change, but that isn't really a big deal.
