Pros: Awesome price, great picture and gaming performance. Love the various ways to can adjust the monitor height/swivel/tilt. Lots of features and supports HDMI. I honestly can't even tell where the speakers are and that always irritated me about some TV/Monitors when they just stuck some speakers on the side.
Cons: Default settings are a little bright. I reduced the brightness by 20 and set the mode to Theater.
Glossy piano black finish shows smudges easily.
Other Thoughts: Replaced a Dell 2001FP and Acer AL1916 with these. I wanted the full 1080p resolution and it's nice to have matching monitors.

Pros: Looked good while it worked.
Cons: Ordered this on Nov. 11 received on Nov.16 hooked it up and it worked nicely until Dec.12 then I got a gray blinking screen this went away after about 10 min. the next day I got this screen again but it wouldn't go away as quickly,after it did finally go to desktop it would intermittently blink and go gray. Changed the cables same thing put on different computer same thing. Figured I'd try to RMA but checked it out and Newegg wouldn't RMA because of the 30 day restriction(even though I didn't have it in my possession for 30 days). Called ASUS they hemmed and hawed but finally gave me an RMA #. So now to the present it cost me $28.40 to send a NEW monitor back for repair. Got this monitor back today from ASUS and connected it to another computer and it worked for about four hours put the computer to sleep and upon wake up the most wonderful GRAY BLINKING SCREEN is back. I'm wondering now why I even sent it back to them.
Other Thoughts: Hindsight truly is 20/20. I am 100% disappointed in this whole deal. I will never buy another LCD monitor by mail nor will I ever look at ASUS in the same way (always regarded their products as top of the line). I guess I got myself an expensive paperweight I'm not going to waste another $28 to send back even if I could get them to believe me that this does not work correctly. I wasn't going to give this a bad review even with the first problems wanted to wait and see how it worked after the supposed repair but cannot keep silent if it will save someone else the headache of dealing with this same problem. This monitor has done this on three different computers,on ATI and Nvidia cards,with DVI and VGA cables.

Nice monitor, after repair

Pros: Nice screen, no dead pixels, decent quality frame and stand.
Cons: Monitor worked for 10hrs, then died. I had tossed the shipping boxes, so couldn't RMA with Newegg. Sent it to Asus servicing and they fixed and returned the monitor within a week. Had to pay shipping there, but Newegg helped me out with a credit, excellent service by both Newegg and Asus warranty. Repaired monitor is working great.
