3 out of 5 eggsReally dislike the stand

Pros: Easy to use and like the picture when the screen is set at a good angle.

Cons: The stand setup makes the monitor very unstable. I have bumped my desk a few times recently and all but once the monitor has fallen on its face do to the spring loaded ergo stand. Once I just pushed it back to try for a different angle, looked over my shoulder to answer someones question as I released the monitor, as I turned back the thing was falling forward.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if they would fix the stand.

4 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: The clarity, resolution, and color are excellence. It is attractive and it works! Can't ask for much more.

Cons: The monitor leans a little too far to the back and can't be adjusted. I wish that I could lean it forward since my desk is so high.

Other Thoughts: I notice that this item is out of stock and may not be reordered. This is very disappointing as I would like to order a second one to match it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice Display from edge to edge, price, name brand, cables included, sleek design in the front.

Cons: The circle ring as others have mentioned, is a little worrying when ordering, once i got it, i see its sturdy, but i still would have prefered something a bit more "normal", but it does its job so i didnt remove a star.

Other Thoughts: As others have said, the default settings definately need tweaking. This monitor had no problems keeping up with BF:BC2, yet i was getting wierd ghosting in COD:MW. The walls would flash green/purple colors, and shrubbery had a neon green glow. If you notice these things in different games, set the monitors Tracer Free setting to Zero, and all is good. Nice monitor, if newegg restocks, and youre in the market, this is a very nice monitor for its size/price/spec's.

As always, newegg was great with their shipping, monitor was so nice, ordered a 2nd one that day.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Great Picture, Easy to set up, No dead pixels, Unbelievable Price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not sure why everyone is complaining about the stand. It's innovative and works fine. As long as your desk is sturdy, it doesn't move. The angle of the monitor is good in the most upright position and it does stay inclined if you rotate it back. Can't comment on the quality since I've had it less than a week but the warranty by ASUS looks to be good.

4 out of 5 eggsMixed bag.

Pros: Sharp monitor, with options to change the usual values, brightness, sharpness etc. Works fine with my games through the dvi connection. Menus are very easy to figure out. Best picture quality of the monitors that I have owned.

Cons: The menu buttons are a little too sensitive. The ring stand is easy to assemble but keeps the monitor tilted back so you have to really be level with the monitor to get a good viewing angle.

Other Thoughts: I wanted a monitor with a better stand but that was eighty dollars more than this monitor which I got on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty pretty...shiny shiny...

Pros: I got a heck of a deal on this monitor, and I really like it. No dead pixels, everything works just fine.

Cons: As others have mentioned, the stand...if you want to call it that...the thing keeping it from falling over on your desk...can only be described as seriously weird. Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with it. It does what I need it to. But when assembling, you wonder how on earth it could ever possibly work.

Other Thoughts: When I got this I couldn't picture what they meant by a "ring" stand. I kept thinking of the circles that lie flat on the desk underneath most flat monitors. Well it's nothing like that. OK so imagine a ribbon, maybe 3 inches wide and flat, like you wrap a present with. Make a perfect circle out of that as though it were wrapped around a big tube. Then magically turn it into black plastic that mounts vertically...yes, vertically...onto the bottom-back of the monitor. It's got a little rubbery spot on the bottom surface so that if you nudge the monitor back to get a tilt, it will hold in that position, and it won't just go sliding across your desk. Like I said, it's weird but it works. You can NOT elevate this monitor up into the air in any way unless your rig something to do it. It's more like a big picture frame the way it sits. I don't think it seems "cheap" or anything, but you have to consider your space constraints and your desk arrangement before buying.

4 out of 5 eggslcd

Pros: - Fast Response Time of 2ms

- Above Average Shades of Grey 50000:1 Contrast Ratio,

- Eco-Friendly 18-20 Watts Utilization under normal usage (browsing, ms office)
Standard Mode with 50% Contrast and 50% Brightness

- Comes with both 15pin vga cable and dvi cable

- $15 Rebate (limit 2) and Free Shipping

Cons: - LCD had lots of removable plastic screen protector on the black portion in the front and covered the entire rear section of the white area, but nothing covered the screen

- Monitor Must be Secured Down due to Ring, Not meant for anyone with kids, pets.

- Touch Screen Monitor Menu very sensitive or not sensitive enough, but once I’ve adjusted the contrast and brightness, didn’t have to deal with it again

- NO hdmi port, but you knew that going into the purchase

- Okay, power cord comes with a regulator due to eco-power usage, fine, but asus went cheap here, the cord doesn’t utilize a ground wire and lcd might be susceptible
to grounding issues

- Pitch of .282 (its okay)

Other Thoughts: - Ring Stand not up to par, was cheap plastic, I was assuming it was heavy metal for counter balance, but that was expecting too much. Assuming it was heavy metal ring, it might have given users a straight view of the screen, but it not and currently sits at a 8-10 degree angle and can be pushed back to around as much as 10-20 degrees. Users can prop up the ring by placing something underneath it, but probably need something heavy to be place inside the ring (a brick from home depot or a 10# dumb bell) so that the screen wont tip over. I currently have it sitting at a 8% angle, was very annoyed at first, but since got use to it and doesn’t bother me as much with usage

Operating at 1600x900

4 out of 5 eggsTough to beat for the price

Pros: Price/spec ratio, brightness, fast shipping.

Cons: Lack of adjustability/viewing angle, default settings are horrible.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a second monitor in a dual-monitor setup. When I hooked it up, I was immediately struck by how much brighter it was than my Samsung 226BW. No dead pixels, looked good.
Then I started surfing and realized that everything had a nasty yellowish tint. Took a bit of playing around with the controls to get it decent, and had to cut down the brightness as well (seriously, this thing could light up a small room). The touch buttons take some getting used to, but once you figure them out, they're pretty slick.
Gaming is OK to good...no blur, but it seems to fail going from black to shadow, the shadows seem lost a lot.
You can only adjust this monitor 10 degrees, and it will not stand straight up.
All the things I covered are nitpicky, considering the fantastic price. Gotta recommend this one.
