Pros: Ive been using this monitor for over a year and i must admit it is excellent. The picture quality is outstanding. Great for gaming or even just watching a movie. Plenty of surface area to see everything on the monitor.

Cons: even though there placed just fine i find it hard to get to the inputs. Wish it came with a remote, built in speakers are weak. no built in microphone so if your planning on video chatting you're gonna have to buy a mic

Other Thoughts: camera is decent but gets the job done.

Pros: Awesome monitor, when it is working

Cons: If I use the power button on the monitor to turn it off, it will not let me turn it back on. Elsewhere, I found another user had documented the same issue. Apparently, you have to unplug all cables from the monitor and let it sit for 20 minutes or so and then plug it back in and it powers up as if nothing happened.

Other Thoughts: Seems strange that an otherwise perfectly working monitor will not power up if you turn it off using the power button.

Pros: Great monitor, love it.

Cons: Light bleed around borders docks 1 egg.

Other Thoughts: If you own this display and dislike the light level/brightness and have AMD Catalyst Control Center you owe it to yourself to Open it>My VGA Displays>Display Color>Color Temperature Control / Brightness

Changing the temperature to +7,000 makes this SO MUCH BETTER in a dark room. Can't believe I've been using it for so long before finding this.

Pros: Crisp, bright display, good webcam, decent speakers. 2ms response time = great for gaming. Very unobtrusive power button glow indicating sleep/power mode. Sturdy stand.

Cons: 4 dead pixels out of the box. The webcam software is extremely finicky and not easy to use. Webcam tilt is also somewhat limited.

Other Thoughts: Pending the replacement monitor and hopefully its lack of dead pixels, this has the potential to be a 5 egg rated piece of equipment.

Pros: Eventually my RMA'ed monitor has been replaced with a new one in a week. I had included the base for the monitor (but no other accessories as instructed). Yet, the new monitor came without a base. I emailed back to the Asus team and they were kind to send a base back to my address.

Cons: I wish the RMA process was less painful. The phone lines are too busy and the RMA site is not highly functional.

Pros: Great Price - selected 3 day shipping got it in 2 ++++ to Newegg!

Good screen, no dead pixels, decent camera for skype or what ever you want it for, Displayport, HDMI, DVI inputs. Good sharp picture. Does have mount holes on the back if you do not wish to use the supplied stand; allows you to mount to a monitor frame. Camera is...ok...not like I purchased it to use as a production camera. Just don't think that it's the best camera you can get. Works just fine for me.

Cons: This unit will not allow you to turn verticle. No real issue with that I knew this prior to purchase.

Other Thoughts: The default input setting is VGA. You must select the appropriate input you are using - i.e. I am using DisplayPort and had to cycle the input selection (the button next to the power button) to DisplayPort. It does not auto select or sense the input you are using.

Pros: Great color, size, connections.

Cons: No Microphone... Really? For 300$ no microphone. ASUS always managed to make a great product and then mess up on an important peice.

Pros: N/A

Cons: After so many calls to their customer support, I was able to get a Fedex ground shipping paid by Asus. It has been several days since they got my monitor but RMA status site still says they have not received it.
Today, I received a link for a survey from Asus, which I did fill in but when I submitted the form, I got a server (ASP) error. This really show what kind of a company Asus is. Here is the comment I wrote for that survey:
"I am extremely dissatisfied with your warranty service. The online support was totally useless. It took me several calls to get an RMA authorization and additional calls to get Asus-paid shipping. Your warranty promises 2-way free shipping for repairs but your customer support agents insist that I have to pay for shipping. Eventually, this was resolved and I shipped the monitor to the repair center. But after so many days, there is still no word on when I will get my monitor back. I have been a loyal customer to Asus so far, but I won't buy from you again. This down-time is unacceptable."

Other Thoughts: You might be lucky and your device may not break (My other asus products worked fine for several years).
But do remember that when it breaks, do not assume your warranty will work as you hoped.

-Thought it would be a good value

Cons: -Handful of stuck pixels
-Monitor has poor tolerance to vibrations, it is not sturdy
-No height adjustment

Pros: This was a rather affordable monitor with several connections.

Cons: Contrast was barely OK, but the biggest problem is the monitor stopped working. It simply does not turn on anymore. ASUS advertises that two-way shipping is provided under warranty but that does not seem to be the case. Terrible customer support (some folks are probably in taiwan with poor English). It has been over a week since my monitor broke and after so many calls, I finally got the RMA authorization today but as I said they are asking me to pay for shipping, which I won't.

Other Thoughts: I owned 3 Asus laptops, 3 LED screens so far. This is it. I won't buy anything from them any more.
