Other Thoughts: Aside from the pixel, I have no real complaints. The whites are very white, and the blacks are very black. I use it for video editing, and it has worked out perfectly in that regard. Buttons can be a little hard to see if your work area is dark most of the time, but it's not a big enough of an issue to be labeled as a con.

Pros: Worked on arrival. Thin and lightweight compared to my previous panel. I needed to replace a failing samsung panel that had lasted 4 years. I thought I would give ASUS a try after considering the reviews.

Cons: The ASUS panel is dead after 16 months of light use on a secondary computer. No power light, nothing. This monitor was not continuously left on. Maybe on and off cycling shortened the lifespan?

Other Thoughts: I expected a longer working life for this product.

-Excessively bright
-Noticeable monitor banding
-Text appears blurry in all resolutions

Other Thoughts: So, after reading the various reviews, I thought that this monitor would be a nice replacement for my older, mildly broken one. After a few days of using it, however, I can say that I am not really all that impressed.

The biggest issue I have with it is that it has a rather noticeable amount of banding when viewing lighter colors or gradients. No amount of gamma/brightness/contrast adjusting seems to fix this and it's driving me nuts. I had no problems with this on either my old monitor nor the monitor my family uses for their computer. Gradients appears nicely smooth on both of those but not on this new one. I'm not sure whether this is a fault of this particular monitor or whether it's the model entirely.

When I first plugged it in, the backlighting really surprised me, and not in a good way. It's almost painful to look at and caused me a good amount of eye strain before I adjusted everything to be dimmer. The colors themselves also appear washed out, and not as vibrant as I expected them to be, and that's including the neon backlighting. Even the text appears blurry, and that's after changing resolutions and adjusting the cleartype text multiple times.

Overall, I can't say it's a horrible monitor, because it does actually work and looks alright if you can ignore the banding and color issues. But it certainly perplexes me as to how it received so many good reviews, unless I just happened to get a lemon.

Pros: Great Picture Quality, great price for what you get, Comes with everything you need, stand was easy to put on it.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I bought this to go with a gaming desktop. Along with the desktop, it makes these games look amazing. I couldn't believe how awesome Battlefield 3 for PC looked compared to the xbox 360 version. The PC version looks so much better and I would recommend this monitor to anyone. It was a good price for an amazing monitor.

Pros: - 1920 x 1080 for a low price
- Excellent color quality, even the simple things like the Google logo have more vivid colors
- Great gaming response time at 2ms
- Glossy but non-reflective screen
- Excellent sound output

Cons: - No height or angle adjustment, but not expected for the price

Other Thoughts: One of the best deals going for a 1920 x 1080 gaming and media monitor.

I haven't found it to be nearly the dust or fingerprint "magnet" as I expected from other reviews. The reflective housing actually seems to help minimize the appearance of dust in my opinion; granted there is no direct light shining on or around my screen, but it looks better than my other monitor with a generic plastic housing.

In case anyone is curious, most reviews of the VH series monitors list them as "glossy" (the other standard choice being matte) and this is correct; but these are not the "bad" glossy screens that badly reflect even the smallest amount of light. Honestly I researched this before buying and this monitor has the quality of a traditional glossy screen for video playback, without the common downsides. ASUS really delivers on this one.

Pros: Cheap, Good size screen, Speakers sound pretty good. Smallish bezeling. Adjustable, the stand is pretty good despite what other people are saying. It barely moves even when I try to shake my desk. The picture quality of this is amazing out of the box.

Cons: Really really bright but that can be adjusted with the press of 2 buttons.

Pros: Affordable

Cons: 3.5MM Jack doesn't work
HDMI was defective on the 2nd one

Other Thoughts: When I purchased this, I used it as a PC Monitor for about 7 months, Never had problems. Then when I purchased a bigger Samsung monitor, I used this monitor for my PS3, However I needed to connect regular headphones, But the headphone jack didn't work.

Asus RMA'd it with no problem, But when I received the monitor, The HDMI didn't work. So I had to get it sent back, When I received the 3rd one, The HDMI was working fine, But the headphone jack didn't work again... This is the reason why it gets 4 stars. Since I purchased a wireless Bluetooth headset for my PS3 I no longer need the 3.5mm jack, But if it did indeed work, I would have given it a 5.

Pros: Was a little skeptical after reading a few of the negative reviews, but got them anyway. I'm in no way disappointed!! Very bright/sharp awesome deal for the price too! Hardly use the internal speakers but they do work! I can also verify there is a VESA mount on the back.

Cons: Monitor stand isn't adjustable up and down, but it will tilt up and down. It's no biggie though, you can always get a VESA mount.

Other Thoughts: i7-3770K w/Intel HD 4000 Integrated Graphics on Windows 8 (HDMI)

Pros: Very good lighting although brightness can be overwhelming at times.
Very fast response time.
Colors look great.
Good adjustable settings for color presets.
Games look wonderful as well as movies.
It's a bit on the bulkier side but that is a pro for me because I like a bit more solid monitors.

Cons: It doesn't make me breakfast.

Other Thoughts: I'm thinking about buying a new graphics card soon...
