Pros: -big and bright

-best monitor I found for the price
-speakers are nice to have when I don't want to wear headphones

Other Thoughts: makes my pc look fancy and I feel like a big shot when people come over

Pros: very good color, picture. no dead pixels. 3 year warranty. ASUS!! i got it with rebate and sale promo code. to bring it to $120 bucks!

Cons: cant run speakers and surround sound at the same time... no way that i have been able to find atleast... HDMI is the preffered input as ivve tried all three and DVI is good but HDMI just looks slightly more textured and sharp.

Pros: I bought this to pair up with my VH236H because of the outstanding quality of the slightly older model. This one is just as clear, crisp and bright. Of many monitor brands I have owned, none compare to Asus.

Pros: The price for what you get and the size of the monitor is exceptional. The preset modes for different color schemes ie. movie, game, night modes and a few others actually does it justice. In all I can't complain about the color or dead pixel's nor bleeding. BUT

Cons: I wanted this monitor more so than others because of the built in speakers. Mine does not work, and is very upsetting thus why 2 stars. If the speakers worked then 5 stars but, I need a monitor asap and can't send this back and wait for a replacement. Hopefully asus reads this and helps me find a solution.

Pros: found they do have instructions on how to remove the mount stem it just not in English haveto go by the pictures

Pros: I got this to replace a ACER monitor that has a glossy screen and this one has a matte screen, my computer faces a window that lets a lot of light in that reflects off the surface of the old monitor but not this one. Chose this one specifically to replace old one because of HDMI ASUS name and LED backlight, it didn't hurt that it was on sale and had a $20MIR too. The color balance was dead on for my needs so I did not have to make any adjustments, normally it takes me about half an hour to fiddle with getting color to what lighting we have and what looks right to me. Very happy with purchase and with the power button on the front instead of the bottom that makes them easier to deal with in a dual monitor situation with one stacked on top of the other. ASUS reputation stands proud with this monitor.

Cons: I do not like that they have decided to mount the stand stem on the monitor instead of making whole stand a separate piece I have looked and see no way of removing other than a saw and I am not willing to do that

Pros: All good except stuck pixel....distracting.

Cons: Contacted Asus about suggestions to fix stuck pixel. Instead of answering my question, they just informed me about the number of bad pixels needed for warranty. That is not what I asked. I have other other ASUS products and found their support to be not that great. Some companies have a zero tolerance for bad pixels. You may want to buy from one of them. This is a "new" monitor.

Other Thoughts: I never thought about bad pixels being acceptable for a new product. Never had a problem with my LG LCD monitor after many years of use. Asus monitor came out of the box with bad pixel. They say you have to have between 3 to 5 pixels bad for warranty.

Pros: Newegg shipped very fast.

Cons: TONS of backlight bleeding around the edges, especially the top. It makes a black screen painful to look at, though it is visible with even moderately dark colors.

Other Thoughts: This is the first and last time I'll purchase something from Asus other than a motherboard.
