Cons: It has two white lines right down the middle of the monitor that I only noticed recently. It only shows up against a dark grey background. I am not sure if this is vertical banding, it can be annoying, I did get use to it but every once in a while I notice it.

Other Thoughts: When UPS shipped it and left it on the front door, it had a huge hole right dead center in the middle of the box. It was on the side facing the LCD screen. I really thought there would be major problems but was really lucky no scratches or any apparent damage. I really wish Newegg would stop using UPS, they are horrible at handling packages.

Asus has the nerve to include a pamphlet in the box that explicitly says "hey uh... there are millions of pixels in your monitor so don't expect them all to work" (I paraphrase) maybe that's standard operating procedure for monitor companies in this day and age, but I don't approve.

Other Thoughts: I might've given this monitor 5 stars if not for the alarming stuck pixel rate (in my admittedly small sampling of 2 monitors).
Took a chance on Asus. My first monitor had a bright green stuck pixel at about eye level off to the right. Very hard to ignore. Returned and exchanged for a new one. 2nd one has a dark blue stuck pixel, that only seems stuck below a certain luminescence. When the screen goes dark, you can see it, but when the screen goes bright, it disappears.
This one is easy to ignore, so I decided to suck it up and just accept it, as I'm tired of repackaging monitors for return, and don't want to chance getting even worse stuck pixels in the next replacement.
It's a shame, cause the picture quality on this monitor is quite good by my standards, and off viewing angles to the sides and below hold up fairly well.
You win this time Asus, but I will never gamble on another product from you until your reputation for QC improves.

Cons: None, Just make sure your desk can fit 3 of these if you plan on buying them for AMD Eyefinity... or NV Surround.

Also, The bezels are somewhat glossy and not flat black. Not a con to me, but for others it may draw them away from this Product.

Other Thoughts: I have researched TONS of monitors for Eyefinity, from 19" to 30" with the smallest bezels I could find With LED back lighting, 2ms Response and 1080P, With enough connections so I could Run my AT&T U-Verse box to one of them Via HDMI, And still have enough inputs for Eyefinity (Using 2 DVI Cables and 1 Display port, item #N82E16812200602, It works for me! its black and gold plated!) and whatever else I need to connect. For the price this was the Monitor for me!

Reviews on a lot of these ASUS Monitors say people have got them with Dead or Stuck pixels, I am here to say that is not always the case, maybe I was lucky.

If you are still debating on buying this, BUY IT, you will love it. I could not find any other monitor in this price range at this size with all of these features, The ASUS VE248H was my second choice, This was a bit better for a bit more money, It was worth every penny.

Pros: I've been using this monitor for over 4 months now with absolutely zero problems. Brightness, colors, and contrast are excellent for a consumer-grade monitor in the $200-300 range, and, being LED-lit, it generates almost no heat compared to a traditional LCD monitor.

Cons: -Like many large matte displays, it has a slightly "griddy" appearance (AKA "screen door effect") caused by the tiny gaps between pixels. It can be annoying if you fixate on it, but otherwise it isn't really noticeable at all and still preferable to a glossy screen, in my opinion.
-The stand is quite thick (almost 3/4") and sticks out over 3" in front of the monitor, which can interfere with keyboard placement.
-The panel is almost as thick as that of a normal LCD monitor, so you won't get the thinness and lightness of most other consumer LED-LCDs.

Other Thoughts: The speakers are decent enough for playing background music, but even the cheapest external speakers or headphones will blow them away.

Pros: Nice monitor, great colors. I think I will like it once I get it
adjusted.

Cons: Almost no information comes with it on all the various
adjustments. The Asus website has no information, I
downloaded the manual for this but it is formatted in a
type of file that I have not been able to open.

Other Thoughts: Asus, spend a few cents and provide some information
with your products, not everyone is an expert on working
with computers.

Pros: Very good resolutions for eyefinity. Asus products Rock. I have had Asus monitors for years now and just upgraded to this monitor for game play and eyefinity. Price is right also

Cons: One stuck green pixel 2 inches lower then the center of the screen... I did not think Newegg would be willing to RMA for 1 pixel, should have read these reviews sooner.

Other Thoughts: Dont let my cons dissuade you if you are on the fence, just make sure you check the monitor for defects immediately.

Pros: Lovely monitor, great for high end FPS gaming as well as video HD play. Could not ask for more, really!
Cables included, and stand seems very stable on a desk.
Love the doulble and tripple SLI cables that are included.
No dead Pixels!
