It worked well for about 90 minutes until it got hot. Then that is when all the problems started. The screen refused to display anything more than a 1 second glimpse. Verified power, verified VGA cable. Used DVI cable instead...all with the same outcome of no video. Swapped monitor with one of my other LCD and video works perfectly. Obviously not a mobo problem. Cons: I've never received something from Newegg I didn't like until now. I've purchased refurbished items before, but they didn't arrive in such horrible condition. Of the two monitors I bought, 1 had pen markings on the screen. The other's screen is clean, but the back, sides, and stand took a beating. And this damage was not from shipping. It was packaged and sold in that condition. The pictures Newegg has for this product is deceiving as well. It came with the monitor, stand, power cord, and a VGA cable. It's missing the DVI cable and CD shown in the picture. I've powered them up and they do show the ASUS logo, but I've yet to connect them to a system. I will post an update after checking for dead pixels. Don't pay anything over $85, which includes shipping. I'm still unsure why Newegg post this as a refurbished item as monitors I received look like repackaged and heavily used monitors. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you? I hooked it up right out of the box and it started up with no problems. Cons: I know this is a refurbished monitor but I thought all the oem epquipement would be included and they were not. I did not recieve the DVI cable, start guide, or the CD. I had to down load the manual to figure out how to make any adjustmenst. Those are the reasons for taking off on egg. Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor because I bought a blue-ray burner from Newegg as well and I found out that my 17" monitor could not display the blue-ray because it did not support HDCP. Pros: - Clear bright image - High quality construction - Excellent price Cons: - Not 1080p or HDMI - Collects dust on the stand and frame very easily Other Thoughts: This is by far the best monitor I've had. Currently, I have dual moniters with an older Samsung 730b monitor, which is a 17''. I bought that brand new from WorstBuy for over $300. That monitor doesn't stand a chance against this and this one is bigger and 1/3 the price. Also, the box came with more cables then necessary and all the documentation and CD's.
