Pros: Very bright monitor, good color, eggcellent price!
Cons: Be careful not to over tighten the VESA mount screws, as they are not on a metal frame. Menu system is detailed but cumbersome, unable to change source without signal on currently selected source, extreme pain in the neck. No DVI port, nothing will convert to Display Port so don't think that you can connect anything there except native Display Port signal.
Other Thoughts: Pros and Price outweigh the Cons, would buy another.

Rating: 1/5Compatibility Considerations
Pros: Flexible connection options, inexpensive.
Cons: Not compatible with all devices. Would not support 1080p using HDMI and DirecTV HR21 or HR24 DVR. Would not support 1920x1080 via DisplayPort or HDMI on a 2010 Mac Pro with a ATI Radeon HD 5770. Did support on 1920x1080 via VGA. ASUS support claimed the monitor is getting confused by the graphics card. Bottom line - they were not able to resolve the problems.
Monitor did work fine using VGA and DVI to HDMI interface with an older Mac Pro with an ATI Radeon 9650 card.
Other Thoughts: First time I contacted ASUS they believed the monitor was defective so I returned the first one and received a replacement. Same results with both monitors.
As usual NewEgg was most helpful with the returns.

Rating: 5/5Great Monitor for the price
Pros: Comes with an HDMI to DVI cable.
Cons: The menu button layout on the front of the monitor is very different than most LCD monitors. Somewhat difficult to use.
Other Thoughts: We use these for professional 3D modeling programs. Many of our engineers would not give up their 21 inch high res CRT until we got these. They have a very good response time and the text has great contrast and clarity.

Rating: 2/5Stuck Pixel, Sound stops
Pros: LED is nice. Others have hurt my eyes, but this is nice. Pretty nice picture overall.
Cons: 1 stuck pixel. My PS3, (HDMI) has sound but it stops when I try to play GTA4. I haven't tried other games but I've had the PS3 hooked up to 3 other TV's without this problem.
Other Thoughts: I probably would have kept the monitor if it weren't for the PS3 and no sound. I would have tried to "revive" the stuck pixel. I've read that it's possible. This is my first experience with a stuck/dead pixel and I'm pretty sure it's a stuck one because it has a blue color on a white screen. I heard dead pixels are all black. Either way, I feel I shouldn't have to try and fix a product that I just took out of the box. I am sending back and going with Samsung. My 22 inch 5+ year old Syncmaster is flawless. Just doesn't have HDMI.

Rating: 5/5Asus Monitor
Pros: Excellent picture, bright, lots of people have said it, I agree, the image quality on Asus monitors is flawless. No dead pixels that I can find. Massive 24" display, people who say they are using 2 or more of these, I envy your space, if I cleared my desk off completely (no small task there) I could probably fit a second one... after some quick measurements I have determined that, yes I could! I might have to look into that :), other pros: display port, and hdmi input. Viewing angles are pretty good OOB, I think there are 'smart view' settings to improve it but I haven't looked into that.
Cons: No DVI connector on the monitor, I was disappointed to discover (guess I should have paid more attention before purchasing, but the price was right) that this particular monitor doesn't have a DVI connector, it does come with a dvi to hdmi cable, so if you only have DVI output on your video card, you are covered, but I'd rather have had a standard hdmi cable and/or a display port cable, neither of which are included. As for the speakers... well, if you crank the sound output on your system to the max, you might be able to hear them in a quiet room. (a slight exaggeration, but if I turn the volume all the way down on my small, cheap Altec Lansing desktop speakers and rotate the knob a quarter inch to increase the volume, they already match or exceed the output from the monitor on max) not worth deducting an egg for any of that however, not at the price I paid for it. (other cons: there wasn't a second monitor in the box)
Other Thoughts: Quite impressed with the product so far.

Rating: 1/5Flickers, blinks off and on
Pros: good color, nice features
Cons: It made it just past neweggs 30 day warranty, now flashes off for about 1/2 second, does this once or twice a minute. Now I have to deal with Asus. Seems to do this only with displayport input, HDMI input doesn't seem to do this. xbox on hdmi, PC on displayport. Thried swapping cables.

Rating: 1/5Dead Pixels
Pros: Good colors great picture no noticeable ghosting i like the blue power light instead of green buttons for menus r easy to use
Cons: Sadly my monitor had 5 dead pixels i was surprised since none of the other reviews seem to have this problem maybe it was just bad luck i do already own a older 22inch ASUS monitor which is great i have had it for 5 or 6 years now still looks good and no dead pixels also the speakers well they r a joke but i didn't really care about that when purchasing the monitor
Other Thoughts: Thankfully newegg is going to exchange the monitor for me gotta love newegg :) as long as the new one doesn't have any dead pixels i will give it 5 eggs it does have a really nice picture
