4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor on the cheap

Pros: Colors are vibrant, very little input lag, HDMI, and the pixel density makes it ideal if you are on a budget.

Cons: Light bleed is rather noticeable on the edges and corners, and the stand is on the flimsy side even on a rather sturdy desk, and no height adjustment.

Other Thoughts: Overall this monitor is great but I found myself upgrading to a better monitor after 2+ years.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this monitor!

Pros: Great size
Great picture quality
Full 1080
DVI, HDMI and VGA (but who still uses VGA?)
Thin bezel and overall just looks really nice on my desk
Preset modes are pretty cool
Have a lot of options for customizing colors/presets
Comes with a DVI and a VGA cable, which is great because I needed the DVI cable
The screen is easy to tilt up or down and it stays in that position until you move it
Super thin, lightweight, has a little ridge on the back of it that makes it really easy to carry without worrying about damaging the screen

Cons: I only use two of the Splendid preset modes, Scenic and sRGB. I use Scenic mostly though. Other preset modes, like Gaming and others have the contrast up too much or the saturation up too much. I'm not too sure about the Game mode setting, as I don't like how contrasty it looks. The Scenic mode is great for games imo, as it gives the best saturation and contrast balance.

Other Thoughts: I love this monitor, it has a ton of great features. I'm about to buy a second one for a dual screen setup. I'm also going to buy a dual screen VESA mount so I don't have to use the built in stand. By the way, the stand came preinstalled so I didn't have to mess with any of that.

As other have said, the stand/screen does seem to wobble. Upon further tests, I don't believe it's the stand itself, I believe it's the desk or surface the screen is on. I recently moved my desk from a carpeted room to a hardwood floor. The screen used to wobble anytime someone walked by, but now that I have my desk on a hardwood floor it doesn't wobble nearly as much (it does still wobble slightly, but I believe that's due to my lightweight desk). If you have a real wood desk or solid metal or plastic desk then I don't think you'd have this issue at all. Like I said, I'm about to buy a second screen and dual screen VESA mount so I won't be dealing with the built in stand anyway. Great monitor! Definitely recommend it. Full 1080p, nice size, and at a price that really can't be beat. Especially with the DVI and VGA cable included.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the price!

Pros: Large Screen - Perfect size for 1080p
Build Quality - Feels very well built and solid
Stand is excellent, no wobbling
Wide variety of color adjustment, if you don't like the original picture (I had to adjust mine)

Cons: When I first turned it on, the color seemed a little off. The picture quality seemed to have been covered in a pale white glow.
However, after playing around with it for the better part of a half hour, I came to a color quality I really liked.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this monitor after I had to RMA two terrible, awful AOC monitors that both came with dead pixels. Compared to those flimsy pieces of junk, this monitor is all around well built and should last me for years. Doesn't come with an HDMI cord, but none of these monitors do, so no big deal; I had one at home so I just used that. No speakers either but that's actually a plus, it's just added money for a feature that is often poorly built. I have my own speaker system so I never intended on using that.
Would recommend this product to anybody. For $110, this can't be beat.
NB: If you're sending in the rebate to ASUS, you'll notice that you won't get a "packing list" to send to the company. All you have to do is go under Newegg's customer service and print out your invoice. Make sure to include the UPC Barcode label as well.
Update: ASUS told me I never included my barcode label despite the fact I sent it to them. Oh well. Cheated out of 20 bucks. Doesn't affect my review of the rest of the product!

1 out of 5 eggsASUS IS GARBAGE

Pros: Lasted to 8 months. Picture quality was fantastic and had great resolution with high color and definition. I bought 3 of these monitors because of the price. 2 Have dead pixels and the 3 well its dead. Was playing COD black Ops and poof went bright and 5 seconds later nothing. Wouldn't even turn on.

Cons: Lets see. ASUS support is Garbage. I have called them 4 times now to get a shipping label to get my warranty on their product and to my surprise for the 2nd time no email containing the label. Do not buy ASUS. They do not honer their warranties. I even got sent to the supervisor to be helped and he assured me that the label was being sent. Luckily I still have till MAY to get this bad boy covered. If they fail to honer their product warranty then I will never buy asus again. Among other things I won't mention I will do. All legal I assure you.

Other Thoughts: Don't think I will be buying a Asus product again. Very disappointed.

4 out of 5 eggsI like these monitors

Pros: great price, beautiful display, I read the reviews about some being shipped with dead pixels but I did not have that problem, nice look black sleek, lots of adjustability in monitor menu, great refresh rate, no speakers but I could care less about that, I have 24s at work and these look the same so don't worry about the 23.6" dimension that's listed, I just upgraded from some 5 year old 19" acers so this was a huge upgrade, been playing fallout 4 on these and it's been pleasant to say the least.

Cons: to be fair I will add a couple cons but I do really love these monitors. the vga dvi and power are plugged in directly to the back of the frame so if you want to wall mount or back them directly up to a wall you may have a problem. mine currently are positioned 5" from a wall and the cords turn down comfortably now. I read reviews about a wobbly frame and I think that would be true for people with a flimsy desk. my desk is sturdy so the monitors do not move unless I really try to shake the desk.

1 out of 5 eggsMonitor starts turning off after 15 mins, Asus wont RMA/fix it.

Pros: Monitor has a good picture for the price (when it stays on).

Cons: Monitor fails to stay on for longer than 15 mins. Turns itself off randomly. Wont turn back on for 30+ mins.
Asus refuses to address the issue, even though it has a 3 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't be more disappointed with Asus customer service. After years of buying their products and having no issues, I'm quitting their brand based on their customer service.

Sent the monitor in for RMA for the power issue after 6 months (so past the Newegg opportunity). They refuse to fix the issue and are claiming there's a scratch on the monitor, which allows them to void the warranty. Absolutely ridiculous. A scratch on the monitor has nothing to do with the power situation. And the monitor wasn't scratched when we RMA'd it to Asus.

They are playing silly games in order not to repair a low-end product. They were kind enough to offer me the opportunity to pay for them to fix it. $180 to repair a $129 monitor? No thank you.

After years of buying motherboards, video cards, netbooks and tablets from Asus, they are losing a customer.

3 out of 5 eggsMultiple tiny flickering pixels. Brand New.

Pros: Nice size. Affordable prize. Was hoping to have two monitors one for gaming and the other for multi tasking purposes (watching movies, emails, looking up info on games I was playing, etc,).
Widescreen
HDMI ports along with DVI and VGA.

Cons: Lots of flickering little pixels no matter the resolution or set up.
The flickering pixels.

Other Thoughts: I tried multiple cables because I just assumed it was VGA giving me trouble and the cable I had was old. Tried the brand new one that came with the monitor. Same thing. Just today I plugged the HDMI in and it has the same issue. The monitor is pretty, but those pixels are distracting and really tear away from the immersion while playing or become a frustrating distraction as it taunts me while I use it. No way to fix it. Will have to RMA it.

I have an older 23" Asus that I paired next to it and she is still holding up well despite being a few years older. I am really hoping I can get this monitor without the issue as it does have a more crisp picture than my older model despite the plethora of pixels that keep firing off.
