Cons: I don't have two of these

Other Thoughts: I thought I was using my computer before this monitor, but when I first loaded into my favorite game I was dumbfounded at how many colors I wasnt seeing on my old window into the internet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for gaming and all around

Pros: Perfect size
Great color
No ghosting in games (BF4)

Cons: Can't think of any.. not even that expensive.

Other Thoughts: I've had this monitor for over a year now and don't regret anything about buying it. The color, clarity, and sharpness are great. I use it for general use, some gaming- no ghosting, and work with photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. The 4 USB 3.0's on the side are handy. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking to the IPS class for a better all around monitor, especially at the price.

Again, just avg joe/general use here. I don't use this monitor professionally all day everyday, nor do I have a super critical eye thats seen thousands of monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsI'll take an extra 120 lines over 3"

Pros: I work on my PC and at this price point I have to chose a 24" with 1920x1200 over a 27" with 1920x1080. I'm not trying to watch a movie from across the room. I'm trying to work with my nose in my work.

Cons: None, given the price point and all around high quality.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent computer monitor

Pros: Big, clean, no dead pixels, buttons are easy to use, adjustable height, can rotate in all directions, sturdy, produces little heat, excellent packaging and cables for all supported connectors included.
There is an aspect control option in the menu to switch from full screen to 1:1 for people planning on playing 1080p console games via HDMI so that the image does not appear vertically stretched.

Cons: 720p console games games cannot be stretched to fit the screen while maintaining their 16:9 aspect ratio. You have to play them shrunk to 1:1, or vertically stretched to 16:10.

Other Thoughts: I subtracted an egg because of the minor con I mentioned, which is one o the main reasons I bought this monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGorgeous Display, So Much Better Than a Gaming LCD.

Pros: -1920X1200 resolution is clear and crisp
-Colors are accurate and vibrant
-Even back light is a treat with dark images

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is hands down my favorite monitor ever. If you aren't a super hardcore gamer, then this is much better to play games on then those 120Hz TN panels. You'll get much more enjoyment out of the deeper colors and higher quality than you will out of a 120Hz display.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor overall, with a couple of problems

Pros: Beautiful colors, no dead or stuck pixels, pivotable to portrait mode, and 1920x1200 (that extra vertical space makes a big difference to me).

Cons: 1st problem, only happened once: when I first connected and ran it a little under two years ago, suddenly the picture dimmed to almost nothing and a little puff of smoke rose from the back of the monitor! Kind of freaked me out, but it didn't smell like electrical smoke, the picture came back fine and it had a 5 year warranty so I figured I'd give it a chance. No recurrence of that issue--maybe it was just lint in there or something, who knows. But now I'm wondering whether that was related to this next problem, which does come back. Read on.

2nd problem: every once in a while I'll use one of the four built-in USB 3.0 ports to hook up a flash drive (usually a USB 2 device, although I recently bought a USB 3 drive and tested it as well just now) and transfer a video file to it. When the problem occurs, the USB 2 drive transfer rate is something ridiculous like 1 MB/second, and just now I tested the USB 3 drive (a Corsair Slider 64GB) and was only getting 19-20 MB/second--I think the spec for USB 3.0 is quite a bit higher, right?

You're maybe thinking, well, the drive is the problem--thing is, I took the USB 2 drive and plugged it into a USB 2 port on the front of the machine, and the estimated transfer time went from a reported 35 minutes for 2 files (total of about 2.3 GB) on the monitor's port to about 1/10 of that on the other port.

In the past the only way to fix this has been to unplug/replug the USB cable going from the monitor to the computer. Don't know whether to blame the monitor's port or the motherboard's (an ASUS P8Z68-V-LE). I know I am connected to the USB 3 port on the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Monitor

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Crisp, clear, great color reproduction
USB 3.0 hub.
Easy landscape/portrait rotation.
Very stable, reliable stand.
Stand adjustments are easy and keep the monitor where positioned.
No dead pixels almost 2 years after purchase.

Cons: Rotation into portrait orientation puts USB cables at the top of the monitor.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this monitor for almost two years and have really enjoyed using it. Aside from the USB cables positioned to connect to the top of the monitor when in portrait mode, there's nothing bad to say about this monitor. Really excellent. I might have deducted one egg for the USB thing, but it does so well in every other area of performance, where it really counts, that I give it 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sRGB Monitor

Pros: Excellent color, tonal scale, contrast and stability. USB-3 ports really come in handy for external HDs or Toasters. IPS viewing angle is outstanding. 1900X1200 screen is very nice, and makes me want another one of these to replace my tools & grid monitor that is only 1900X1080.

Cons: sRGB instead of Adobe 1998, but I knew about that before hand and no egg deducted. Also, my printer and workflow actually has to step down to sRGB for the printer anyway so that is a non-issue.

Other Thoughts: I use this monitor as the primary for photography post processing. It came out of the box way too bright and contrasty. I run a multi-monitor system and all monitors are calibrated in-house. This unit calibrated very easily, and prints come out as perfect matches to my printers. This monitor calibrated to my system perfectly on the first pass. This monitor matches my Soft Proofing image to my printer perfectly every time and saves me a ton of paper.
Several other photographers have commented on how much better this monitor looks compared to their much more expensive monitors. I have recommended this unit often.
