Pre-calibrated right out-of box The out-of-box settings are impressive as each PA248Q is pre-calibrated at factory to prove the best color accuracy. To ensure that each PA248Q produces the most accurate and consistent color, ASUS carefully measure its ?E and gamma value and track its gray-scaling. It even supports both Gamma 2.2 for PC and Gamma 1.8 for Mac – offering users more flexibilities to work with. Each PA248Q guarantees industry-leading color accuracy, having been calibrated to minimize color difference to ?E (Delta E) of less than 5 – ensuring precise reading of color input and guarantees excellent color fidelity.

SL on 84 5/16/2013 5:36:34 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 1/5Another flickering foulup Pros: If it weren't for the cons, there would be many pros: color, brightness, sharpness, features, size, physical controls; on-screen menus; reasonable price, etc. Cons: The screen goes black for two or three seconds, and repeates the cycle every ten seconds, or thirty seconds, or half-hour -- you never know what to expect, except having your blood pressure spike once it becomes unusable. Other Thoughts: Perhaps I haven't been looking hard enough for the appropriate driver (although it occurs to me that I shouldn't have to look so hard), but I have been unable to use the vertical feature; content remains sideways. Called support to create an RMA. I got an email from them with an RMA number but I was supoed to get a second email informing me about getting a new monitor before sending the other one in for RMA so I didn't have to go 2+ weeks with no monitor. I never received any follow up emails and Asus won't let me respond to the original email they send since its a no-reply address. I went to their website to send them an email via their support form but now they are asking me for a serial number which I don't have on hand as I am now traveling. A ton of input settings, the DisplayPort allowed me to use 3 monitors without buying an expensive Active DP Adapter! Cons: None so far. But seriously that's if you didn't fall for the amazing IPS panel dvi vga hdmi and display ports connectivity, all those cables are included mind you. The monitor would be perfect for my needs if it didn't flicker and go black constantly. Cons: Nearly constant display flickering as others have reported. Monitor goes black for about 1-2 seconds every 5-10 minutes. It has become mostly unusable. Other Thoughts: I just really wish I had a functional monitor. I'm not sure if my warranty is still valid and I'm very bummed that this is happening. Pretty much only the center area is not affected. - Sometimes when changing from HDMI to Displayport, monitor does not change to native resolution. Instead it will go to 800x600. Have to keep pressing the "source" button to fix it. Doesn't happen all the time. Other Thoughts: Overall, good monitor. Works fine for PS3. I only notice light bleed during dark scenes in games/movies. Not sure if Asus will accept exchange for light bleed issues though. Did you find this review helpful? However, since the purpose of a monitor is to display things, it's hard to give this a high rating given it just randomly goes black. Tried to fix with drivers/other cables, but to no avail.
