5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, beyond expectation.

Pros: Beautiful screen
Color is fantastic
high and pivot and all the adjustable are a plus

Cons: Bought it in 2013 so i paid way more, than what it cost now
The original DISPLAY PORT that came with it is flawed causing issues.

Other Thoughts: After buying a new DISPLAY PORT 1.2 from ACCELL all problems went away, better image and even definition than any other cable port, so my advice is get a better display port for flawless image, specially in gaming, that's my grain of sand for any one who buy this awesome monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome, with one caveat

Pros: This monitor is pretty solid, I've been using this as my only monitor for almost a year now and I've been extremely pleased, especially with the more than reasonable price. The colors are nice and vivid (IPS for the win) and the response time is pretty good for an IPS. I didn't use the base for very long, just until the monitor arm arrived, but it felt pretty solid for having such a large monitor on it. The monitor itself is nicely made, buttons have a bit of mush, but not a horrible amount.

Cons: The DisplayPort acts strange. If the monitor goes to sleep, it won't regain signal when it wakes up. I switched to using DVI and I've had no problems at all. HDMI from my laptop works properly too. The backlight is slightly uneven as well, but this is pretty common across all 21:9 monitors, so it's not really a knock against this one specifically.

Other Thoughts: All in all, for the ~$350 I spent on it, this is an excellent monitor. The DisplayPort keeps it from being a natural 5 egg, but I can't pick 4.5 egg.

If you want to get into the 21:9 without killing the bank, I'd recommend this in a heartbeat. Just make sure you have a DVI or HDMI cord handy.

4 out of 5 eggsReally good monitor but...

Pros: Great Picture, color scale is average, aesthetically pleasing, great adjustability

Cons: DisplayPort stopped working a week after purchase, confirmed its not video card nor the cord, so it is running through DVI, would like to RMA but too busy to be able to ship it back.

Other Thoughts: Overall really great monitor, just wish the DP wouldn't have died on me as i prefer it over DVI.

3 out of 5 eggsDid anyone test this?

Pros: - Beautiful Screen
- Ultra wide
- Speakers
- IPS

Cons: - Faulty interface
- Display-port is bugged.

Other Thoughts: I had to give this monitor a 3 egg considering I was battling figuring out what was wrong with my display-port signal. I first thought it to be my pc then the cable itself. But then it turns out this monitor has a bug so annoying that if it goes to sleep with display-port on then it wont regain signal. Only way i found out was to unplug and re-plug monitor. If this monitor didn't have this issue it would surely get a 4 egg, but since the team that tested didn't think to add a firmware update to the monitor made sure that this will never be fixed.

3 out of 5 eggsAlready concerned

Pros: The monitor has a beautiful display without a doubt. Sharp images, great color depth and the ultra wide presentation is awesome for movies and games. Everything seems well built and sturdy, as well as the speakers not having a buzz to them as my previous Asus monitor had.

Cons: The main issue that I have with monitor is that it is currently disappointing and buggy when being used for gaming. The PC that it is hooked up to is half for gaming, half for school work. When gaming time comes around, it is for competitive RPG and FPS games at enthusiast level graphics. When the monitor is hooked up via Dual-link DVI, there is a very noticeable sluggishness to the monitor that can be mistaken for FPS lag. Upon further inspection, the refresh rate with such a high resolution could not keep up with the 150-200 fps nor even at triple buffered V-sync (60fps solid) resulting in ghosting of the image and a minor delay. The only way for the monitor to keep up with this amount of data being sent to the display is to use a DisplayPort cable. Using the GTX690 my only option is to go miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort (Thunderbolt to DP). When the monitor is left on this selection for long periods of time, it loses the ability to get a signal from the PC. As a result, the cable must be unhooked and reinserted, or occasionally the entire PC must be hard shut down via power button and fired back up. The latter is not an option as it will eventually damage my SSD and other components. I know that the GFX card is not failing as if I hook it up to my previous Asus 3D monitor via DP, I never encounter the issue.

Other Thoughts: I would assume that this issue is most likely software related, so Asus should definitely consider working on a firmware update for this monitor to stop causing it to idle and ignore signal from the DisplayPort connection. I do not want to go through the hassle of RMA for the monitor because the thing is less than a week old and I'll be dam*ed if I have to settle for it getting beat up in shipping again, dismantled and likely nothing being fixed, or potentially getting a refurb unit.

If you are intending to buy this monitor for gaming, don't. The only way this monitor can suffice for gaming is through DisplayPort, which is obviously not functioning as it should. As a monitor for multitasking and design, it is still a great choice but it is definitely overpriced for using it just as that. Asus has let me down on this one as I've been spoiled by the overall quality of all of their previous products I've purchased and still use.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks nice, DP non-functioning

Pros: Nice picture, clear colors

Cons: Display Port pooped out, twice.

Other Thoughts: No sense running a monitor this size without DisplayPort. That input died after a couple weeks of use. Sent it in for repair, it came back and lasted 3 days before it died again. Works fine with DVI. Asus customer service has been very poor and difficult to use.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb productivity enhancing display

Pros: *Good resolution
*Ultra widescreen display allows for dual monitor productivity without the fuss of two displays
*Excellent image quality
*High quality and heavy stand allows for height, tilt, and rotation adjustment
*Has HDMI, DVI, and Display Port connections
*Good speakers
*Ships with all cables

Cons: Asus warranty policy (and thus Newegg Return Policy) requires you to match the serial number of the monitor with the serial number of the box. Fortunately Newegg was willing to overlook this.

Other Thoughts: This display dramatically enhances office productivity. We now have five at our company, and it is now our standard display for any one who needs to get serious work done on a PC.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: 1. Great screen.
2. Fantastic stand, very sturdy.
3. Ultra-wide screen.

Cons: Did not come in a shipping box, was in the manufacturer box with a good sized hole in the front from UPS. Definitely not a good feeling to have seen that when it arrived, especially for a monitor of this price. Newegg could of done better for sure.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a solid screen and want an ultra-wide with a solid stand with positioning options, this is it!
