5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: good stand height (> 5")
can tilt
VESA compatible

Cons: Not IPS (but that would be really expensive and not needed by most people)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 4:3 PC monitor

Pros: 1 - 1600x1200 resolution
2 - D-Sub, DVI-D, Analog & Digital
3 - Tilt & swivel
4 - Looks perfect w/ no scratches
5 - Low price

Cons: 1 - You have to be careful moving the monitor around. It detaches from the round metal base easily.
2 - No HDMI port.

Other Thoughts: Refurbished units get a bad rap sometimes. I took a chance on this generic monitor because it was a 4:3 ratio monitor. I prefer those for web browser and office work instead of the 16:9 wide screen PC monitors. I am very happy with my purchase. I bought my L200ME-BF seven months ago and use it daily. I have had no problems at all. It works perfectly with no dead pixels. I really like the 1600x1200 resolution for my office work. The multiple adjustments available on the stand makes this very useful. Also this screen works very well for me to watch videos.

My only regret is that I only bought one of these when I had the chance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat under daily use

Pros: - Low Price

Cons: - 8ms response where most monitors I've purchased were 5ms or less, but not sure if I could tell the difference or not

Other Thoughts: Used it as a replacement monitor for a MAME cabinet I built and under daily use for the past 5 months has been working excellent.

1 out of 5 eggsDead in 2 months

Pros: Pivoting stand. Not widescreen. Clean look. Good resolution.

Cons: Dead in 2 months after only minimal use (less than a few hours).

Other Thoughts: This monitor was bought refurbished on sale for decent price, and with free shipping from Newegg. I intended to use it less than an hour a day for several years, so decided that buying refurbished unit would safe me some money. Wrong! Turns out it is complete junk after only several hours of use. No longer turns on, occasionally it will turn itself on but quickly switches off. The Power-on button seems to work fine, but not screen.

Please read Neweggs returns policy for refurbished products as it may become a $89 piece of junk sooner than one anticipates.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, low price, aux monitor

Pros: Price is right. VESA universal mount. No specialized drivers required.

Cons: Heavy, clunky stand. Limits desk space if you don't use a multi-monitor stand. Probably need two people for setup if a multi-monitor stand is used for display.

Other Thoughts: I attached this to a multi-monitor stand. Rotated it to a portrait view to accompany my 30" Gateway monitor on its left side. I use it in my tests of Windows 8 as my primary Metro Start menu display, freeing up the main 30" monitor. On the Window 7 side, it displays my gadgets and auxillary display. If you decide to use it in the simular configuration, consider Display Fusion software to extend Windows multi-monitor functionality.

5 out of 5 eggsSweeeeeet! Excellent picture...

Pros: Absolutely beautiful picture, no flaws at all. Rich color spectrum and deep blues and greens are immediately clear. Compared to my other monitors, a Westinghouse and an Acer X223W (Neweggs, of course), this refurbished unit may be the best of them. The stand is solid and attractive. Better than the aftermarket Ergotron I Newegg'd for my Acer for ~$35. Now that I've experienced the utility of a stand that allows significant tilt and 90 degree pivot (for working on full-screen Portrait-oriented word-processing and brochure documents and web sites), I'll never own another monitor without one.

Cons: Came with a VGA cable, rather than a DVI, but even the VGA connection looked stunning. So bright at normal setting, I turned down the Brightness to just 5% for my preference.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if I'm more impressed with Newegg for offering it, or with LG, the actual brand, given that the sticker on the back shows it to be a 2007 Flatron L200ME-BF. The actual screen area measures 16"x12". Native resolution: 1600x1200.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal!

Pros: Great price! My two units have no flaws and a great picture! (Some tweaking of the settings was needed to make the colors match on both units.) I'm used to 1280x1024 so the extra resolution is a nice bonus.

Cons: The stand that comes with these is a little high off the desk even at the lowest position, (when arranged horizontally) but I intend to make my own stand anyway. (Which will be easy with these.) Also although I love 1600x1200 resolution, the inevitable side effect is the in most software the default text size is smaller than I'm used to. (That's what it's supposed to do and you can always use a lower resolution.)

Other Thoughts: I use my dual monitor setup to develop software. At first, I was just looking to buy a couple 4:3 monitors to replace my existing dual monitor system. Unlike my previous monitors, just I wanted both models to match so I could line them up nicely on my desk. That was my ONLY goal. I was expecting only 19" displays, but got 20". (YAY!!) I was expecting max resolution of only 1280x1024, but got 1600x1200. (DOUBLE YAY!!!!) I was expecting to pay about $280 for two monitors, but paid $180 including tax! (TRIPLE YAY!!!!!) Surprisingly, even if I switch to 1280x1024 resolution, I get a picture BETTER than my previous two monitors, which were natively 1280x1024! $100 saved - bigger screen - sharper resolution - What's not to like???? Oh, and right now on this site there's a brand new monitor with similar specs... Guess what: $387 EACH. So you're really saving $300 on this monitor and that's well worth the possibility of a few bad pixels or a return.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: If you are in need of a 4:3 display there is not a better deal. Unit seamed to be in good shape with no signs of use. No dead pixels, brightness seemed decent, nothing that would blind you. For 75 bucks free shipping it's a steal. I am very glad I purchased this unit.

Cons: Very heavy, not a thin panel. It's over 5 years old. Did not come with a dvi cable

2 out of 5 eggsGood monitor, but hit or miss refurb quality

Pros: Beautiful, vivid display (when it's a good quality refurb). Quality construction.

Cons: Ordered two monitors. It's very hit or miss in terms of the quality of the refurb. One monitor is fantastic, while the other is extremely dim and dull even after calibration - it appears to have had some heavy usage time.

Unfortunately, Newegg wants to charge me thirty six bucks to ship it back to get an exchange - hence only two stars for my review.
