5 out of 5 eggsamazing Deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Bought this at 1299.00 and free shipping what a deal. Mitsubishi 7800 HC image quality on a 110" screen is amazing. I am projecting on a S-i-l-v-e-r screen and am enjoing the pop and sizzle as well as the enhanced black level the screen provides. This is my initial impression it is
replacing a Yamaha DPX-1300 while not quite as good as this projector it comes close in alot of areas and best the Yamaha in others so complaints with 2D performance. 3D performance was very easy to setup up and gave me the wow effect and could see no ghosting or crosstalk. The Hobbit in 3D was spectacular. The previous 3D projector was the Acer 5360 and the Mits is in a league of its own. The 3D glasses are heavy but work well 1 movie is all I would use them for so not a concern with me.
It seems the projector shipped with the latest firmware and I cannot notice the iris pumping.

Cons: Placement options would be the only con if you do not have a flexible placement option. Center of the screen is not optimal. Above or below would be best. Blacks in dark scenes could be a tad better but no complaints here.

Other Thoughts: All screens are different and I thought the projector was soft with the focus compared to the Yamaha DPX-1300 which has one of the best lenses made. To solve this I up the contrast to 21 and brightness -15 the picture in 2D seemed to come alive and the wow effect was there. I next work on picture quality with movie file playback to do this I used SVP 3.14 and selected 4X's frame rate the source was 24fps and the projector is running 1920X1080 60hz using an AMD 8350 and Crossfire 7870XT cards running at 96hz frame rate all I can say is huge grin.
Take this review with a grain of salt but there is no debate that this is an amazing value. Thanks Newegg!!!!
