Poor quality
- Pros: Worked great for 8 months.
- Cons: Like a previous reviewer, the monitor flickered, then I got a solid grey line at the bottom of the screen. I sent it in for warranty work and they said that they couldn't duplicate the problem. They sent it back, and it never worked again. I called them again asked what was going on, and they informed me that I could send it back in for more work.
Pay shipping charges again? No way. I'll buy an Acer instead.
- Other Thoughts: I've had great luck with Hanns-G monitors in the past. This one really put a sour taste in my mouth. Generally their customer service was up-front and friendly, however it irks me that they couldn't find an issue with their own monitor.
Died after 6 months
- Pros: Good price. Worked fine for 6 months.
- Cons: About 6 months after we received it, it started flickering a little. It then got worse and worse until it was impossible to use because it flickered so badly. In addition, it would take 5 minutes to turn on. We returned it to Hanns-G. They said they were not able to duplicate the problem and it worked fine on their computers so they sent it back to us. When I called for further help they essentially said that if they could not duplicate the problem then there was nothing they could do.
- Other Thoughts: We have other Hanns-G monitors and they work fine. I wasn't impressed with their service department though!
Great price works fine
- Pros: Monitor looks great. Crisp and clear. Price is fantastic for the size and features.
- Cons: Why even put speakers in this thing? They are so quiet they might as well not be there.
- Other Thoughts: This is not a high end gaming monitor. It works fine for casual gaming and fantastic for regular desktop use. If you are looking for a cheap upgrade from CRT or want a nice looking LCD for a great price it seems like a good deal.
