Other Thoughts: I have had this monitor for 2 years now and knock on wood I haven't had a single issue to this point. I know others have had issues. I don't know if its luck or what, but my experience has been great. The way I look at it is, for the 300 I paid for it and if it lasts another year I would consider it a win...

Pros: Built a Shuttle Desktop for friends. Their eyesight isn't very good, bought this monitor for them. First time it connected with the Shuttle onboard video, it went to the MAX resolution. WoW. Impressive for me, however, needed to adjust down to 1280 x 1024 for them. I can read it from across the room. They are ecstatic with the size, resolution, performance, and especially visibility. Still working well after a year.

Cons: Speakers a bit tinny, but what do you expect for such small speakers ..... ?

Other Thoughts: I need to get myself one ......

Pros: Got it on 7/27/2009 for $299 and it has never let me down.

Cons: Wish it had more imputs and outputs as well as speakers.

Other Thoughts: If all you need it for is a computer monitor and you already have a speaker setup then this is one hell of a deal.

If you want it to also be your tv as well as run your X-Box/PS3 then you may want to look elsewhere. Expect to pay more though.

Pros: Big for the price?

Cons: You get what you pay for. This monitor crapped out on me before a year. No inputs work etc. It's just an over sized paperweight at this point.

Other Thoughts: Never buying hanns-g again.

Pros: Great size, clarity, and picture quality.

Cons: White screen of death in under six months. Customer service is awful slow. Make you pay to ship it back to them when its their problem. It may be cheaper now, but will cost you more once you have to pay for that and deal with the time without your monitor.

Pros: Nice Large Monitor

Cons: I have had this for less than 3 years and I need to send it back for the second time for the same thing. The backlight has gone out. All I have is a Bright white screen and the smell of burning electronics on the back end of it. Even worse I called 4 days to request an RMA and I have not received an e-mail and I have been on hold for over an 1 hour on their tech support "Contact US" home page 888.842.6674 - I have been selling Hanns-G Monitors for over 3 years now and this experience might turn me onto the other brands like AC3R or A$U$.

Other Thoughts: I'd rather pay $30-$100 more and have a monitor that would last me a good 3-5 years without an issue.

Pros: This is the perfect size monitor, in my opinion. It has the maximum size without going to 2560x1600, which usually means connecting both ports on a dual-port video card. It also has more vertical height than the full HD 1920x1080 monitors, which makes it much better for document editing, Internet browsing, and anything other than watching movies. The 1920x1080 resolution monitors are way too short on vertical height for general computer use.

Cons: Image quality is good, but not quite as good as my same-size I-Inc monitor, which is no longer available.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to see Samsung return to making 28 inch monitors with 1920x1200 resolution.

Pros: Extremely nice brightness/color

Cons: I bought this exact monitor back in may from newegg and loved it, so i recommended it to my friend who was building a computer shortly after me (I actually built his computer for him). I also recommended it to another friend who i play with online.

My online friend said he got his and a week later his backlight went out.

I figured it was bad luck until mine started having vertical colored lines, and with every day there is a new line until present where I am lucky if it turns on.

My friend whos computer i built has just as of today out of nowhere just refuses to turn on and he claims to have a heard a loud pop

Other Thoughts: I started off thinking it was just bad luck, but all three of ours have gone bad in less then a year. I am not much to make a review and waste my time if i wasn't adamant about this being a poorly designed monitor

Pros: What an amazing looking monitor for the price. It's huge. Going from a 22" widescreen to this monitor, and I was beginning to think it might not be able to fit on my desk. Colors are bright, contrast is great. had to turn the brightness down to 40% to keep from burning my eyes out, which leaves lots of room to turn it up later if needed. Not a single dead pixel, a steal of a monitor for under $300.

Cons: While this screen is amazing for gaming and movies, it may be a little too big for casual everyday use. I find myself having to turn my head back and fourth a bit as I move the mouse from side to side of the screen. A small inconvienience for what is an excellent monitor though.
The base seems a little wobbly to me, though it could just be my desk (the monitor sits on a slightly raised glass platform on my desk, and may exceed the wieght recommendations for it). The buttons are lables in black raised letters on a reflective black background making them difficult to read, but again, not enough to take away from its greatness.

Other Thoughts: A remote would have been nice. Most other monitors in this range seem to have one and it comes in handy at times. Comes with a full set of cables for different connection options. Got this with free shipping from New Egg, so I expected it to take a while, but it arrived in only 2 Days!
