3 out of 5 eggsNice while they work, don't throw away your packaging

Pros: Great display, no dead pixels on the two I purchased. I have a 27" dell monitor that cost 4 times as much as these sitting beside them and they are an exact match with the Hanns-g in the Warm color setting. Warm is almost a required setting if you use Outlook 2013 with its crazy bright window.

Cons: 2 out of 2 of these monitors died the exact same way - turned off and would not turn back on - no LED power light. One died 6 months old and the other died exactly 367 days after purchase but 364 days after they were delivered. Second RMA in process now which prompted this review.

The RMA process is ridiculously slow. Once you call in you have to wait for an email asking for all the information you already provided to them on the phone and then they have to validate the information which takes 2-3 days after which they then send you the RMA and return instructions. You pay for return shipping to them of course in California and somewhere around 2+ weeks later you get your unit back.

Other Thoughts: The warranty is 3 years parts and labor but only 1 year on the display panel and LED backlight. I was told twice the 2nd failed unit was out of warranty when I called although the problem was most likely not with the display panel or backlight but with the power supply. Good thing I kept may original packaging and all paperwork/warranty docs were still in the box.

I have two Hanns-g 19" LCD monitors purchased in 2006 that still are going strong with no issues ever.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Plenty bright and a matte screen makes it easy to see any time of day. The color accuracy is astounding after my previous list of sub-par monitors. Contrast is good; I haven't come across any scenes that are too dark for me to see clearly.

The screen is MASSIVE.

Cons: No "smart" features (autodimming would be nice). The blacks could be darker, especially around the edges. It doesn't interfere with seeing anything, just a minor annoyance.

Every other computer screen looks tiny.

Other Thoughts: Over a year in and it is just as good as day one. I can't bring myself to knock a star off for the lit up blacks. It's a fundamental issue of LCD screens. This isn't a thousand dollar 4k monitor, it's a quality, high value screen. They don't sacrifice any other aspects for the size.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive for its size........that's it.

Cons: Shipped in a store box, lucky it wasn't in pieces. After a few months light started leaking into the background at the lower right side. Now it's covering almost one third of the screen and in one place goes all the way across. HannsG's response was less than satisfactory, took them forever to respond with information and now they want me to ship it back to them (at my cost) so they can fix it, which they can't do anyway. It'll cost at least $ 75 to ship this
$ 160 monitor and in the meantime, I 'll have no monitor unless I go out and buy another one and then why would I even bother returning it at all? Frankly, their warranty seems worthless. On top of that, they have this extensive list detailing how it should be packed and shipped and yet, they originally shipped the thing in just a store box.

Other Thoughts: Their warranty is of no practical value.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked good while it worked

Cons: Broke in less then a year of purchase. just black screen, green light goes on. but can't access menu to monitor or anything else. just display black. checked all cables and its just broken. Would recommend not to buy this product as though it won't last very long.

5 out of 5 eggsBig with low power consumption

Pros: I have this mounted upside down & it's great. The colours & the back are sharp. I have a computer system & a gaming console connected to this monitor & switching between the two is easier than other monitors I've owned. If the monitor is is power save mode, it will switch to the input that is active without having to press a button. I value this convenience.

Cons: No remote control, but not really necessary, so no cons.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY.

Pros: Sharp Screen... While it lasts.

Cons: Screen failed irrecoverably less than a year after purchase. Screen powered itself down, and will not power back on. Power cable tests good, connection tests good, HDMI was disengaged, and no dice. This product is built incredibly poorly by the lowest bidder and should not be purchased by ANYONE for any reason.

Please let your customers, your business associates, your contract workers, and every employee you have to avoid this brand at all costs until proactive measures are taken in order to correct this oversight in quality. Having reached out to my contacts, this issue is not isolated in any way.

4 out of 5 eggsHanns-G HL273HPB

Pros: brightly lit, ALOT of screen. don't know what else to say, it's a large screen that is a pure joy to game on.

Cons: tilt only no height.
honestly it's not even a real con anymore cause we all kind of expect it but the built in speakers are junk. some of the worse sound you can get.

Other Thoughts: i gave it 4 out of 5 not so much per the speakers but more so i feel it's an amazing monitor. what in my mind would have taken it a 5-5 would have been the inclusion of of say a build in USB hub

4 out of 5 eggsNice picture

Pros: A beautiful, crisp image at a reasonable price for a 27" monitor.

Cons: The plastic frame and base are rather cheaply made, but I'd rather that they skimp on those aspects to keep cost down than to use a cheap display in the monitor

Other Thoughts: If you're looking at 27" LED screens from a cost-conscious perspective, rest assured that if this is one of the cheaper options that you'll be happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Crisp, clear and fast. I do a lot of photoshop work and play tons of games. This is a great monitor if you want one monitor at 1920 x 1080

Cons: I don't use the speakers, I have discrete sound (dolby 2.1)

Other Thoughts: I've tried a few lower cost monitors and was always disappointed. I thought I'd try this one because it's a brand I hadn't heard of before... and I was very glad I did!
