4 out of 5 eggsNice picture

Pros: A beautiful, crisp image at a reasonable price for a 27" monitor.

Cons: The plastic frame and base are rather cheaply made, but I'd rather that they skimp on those aspects to keep cost down than to use a cheap display in the monitor

Other Thoughts: If you're looking at 27" LED screens from a cost-conscious perspective, rest assured that if this is one of the cheaper options that you'll be happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Crisp, clear and fast. I do a lot of photoshop work and play tons of games. This is a great monitor if you want one monitor at 1920 x 1080

Cons: I don't use the speakers, I have discrete sound (dolby 2.1)

Other Thoughts: I've tried a few lower cost monitors and was always disappointed. I thought I'd try this one because it's a brand I hadn't heard of before... and I was very glad I did!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Great price for such a big and great-looking monitor. I haven't had a single problem with picture quality or any performance. It always looks incredible compared to other monitors I see at various LAN parties I attend.

Cons: I know I should have expected it, but the audio on this monitor is terrible. Speakers face from the back of the monitor so I had to crank the audio all the way up just to hear it and others complained about how loud they heard it from the back. Got a separate speaker system and everything's been perfect ever since.

Other Thoughts: I'd definitely buy another. I'm really just waiting on a sale so I can grab a second :P I definitely recommend purchasing this.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap Fast Quality

Pros: - Fast response rate
- Cheap for a 27 inch monitor
- Easy to hook up because of up-to date inputs

Cons: As of now I have not had a issue with it.

Other Thoughts: - Make sure that you have enough space on your desk prior to purchase because it is large for a monitor.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent monitro but dont expect it to last

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: After a couple months I started to see a "cloudy" area on the left side. Now it is 6 months later and there is a cloudy "gradient" working its way from right to left.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't reccommend this to anyone. Spend the extra money to get a better name.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat are you looking for?

Pros: Good size (re: it's gotten a bit smaller since I first purchased) Which isn't a 'con'... It's just me (re: eyes).... Clear, bright and good price... I think around 180.00 (sale?).. can't remember...

Meh... Good value nonetheless. Period. Would buy another if needed...

Cons: lol.

Other Thoughts: zero.

4 out of 5 eggsHanns-G HL273HPB Black 27" Monitor

Pros: Fast Shipping, Great Packaging, everything was included that was supposed to be, and great picture!

Cons: Did not come with an HDMI cable. I know this was not listed, and it was a big deal since I have extras, but why advertise a 1080p monitor with no HDMI? This is the only reason for not giving a full 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: The base of this monitor for some reason gave me the hardest time. I had to have someone hold the screen while I put decent amount of force to get the screw to start threading. Other than that, this monitor is a dream upgrade from my 19" Optiquest running 1440x900.

1 out of 5 eggsDONT buy these. Move along.

Pros: I purchased two of these on a black friday sale with a HUGE discount so I got them for cheap. The working one still looks pretty good after six months. These aren't used for gaming or video.

BOTH monitors had 3-4 stuck pixels out of the box. After about 4 months they mostly cleared up.

Cons: #1 Con- After six months one monitor has 300+ stuck green pixels that are spreading and the backlight is flickering pretty bad in one corner. I have sent THREE(3) emails to the warranty email and have not received a response in more than a month.

Panel started failing in lower left corner after 3 months and is now covering the whole left side making it nearly impossible to use.

Other Thoughts: You think this may not be a reputable company. You are correct. They are not. Failing equipment within warranty period and do not respond to inquiries.

Cheap does not equal value here people. Dont risk it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 2ms
~$200; inexpensive
Lightweight, Thin, Narrow bezel/frame
DVI, HDMI, & VGA ports

Cons: Analog ("PC") audio mono (right channel)
(Digital audio stereo)
Sound tinny

Other Thoughts: I bought a ViewSonic VX2835wm 28" (1920x1200) ~7 years ago for ~$700. Recently the HDMI port stopped working so it will be relegated to the kids' 'puter in the basement... but currently I'm running both for a comparison. Price drop is nice. I'm already missing the 120 vertical pixels and definitely prefer the 16:10 to 16:9.
It has 4 preset brightness/ contrast settings that can be changed with a hotkey. (It would be nice if this could also be done via the computer. It would be nice if there were User Defined presets. A light sensor so it automatically dims in dim light would be very cool imho.)
But most important is the audio. The monitor only comes with a VGA cable so initially I had it setup Analog. The drop in audio quality from the ViewSonic was *very* noticeable. A bit of poking found that it was mono:( I dug out the digital cable and set that up. Digital sound is stereo but still tinny in side-by-side. But I suppose if I want serious sound I should get a real sound system.
