5 out of 5 eggsBest of both world

Pros: Excellent resolution and contracts. Highly touch sensitivity. Best of both world for windows 8.1 and windows 10. I have no complaint at all for its performance and price ratio.

Cons: None that I could find

1 out of 5 eggsFried 2 chips

Pros: Pretty monitor with good color

Cons: Plugged in the USB to use the touch screen and immediately fried a chip on the Mboard! thinking it was a fluke, I bought another HP-DC7900 and got same result. Haven't dared use the touch feature on this monitor again! similar to review by: Mark V. on 12/31/2014. Glossy, Shiny, Reflective screen.

Other Thoughts: I will just but a 'tablet' if i want 'touch'

2 out of 5 eggsPretty, broke, hung to dry

Pros: - The monitor looks good, presents well.
- The image is fairly sharp, and the touchscreen is not bad. - The built-in monitor stand is quite convenient, and speakers are fair (rather good for built-in speakers)
- Screen glossy and easy to clean
- Linux driver available for touch and works ok

Cons: - Viewing angle is limited; tilting the screen can result in loss of contrast
- Image sometimes fuzzy and/or not centered - the latter fixed with on-board controls, the former a function of graphics card?
- Screen glossy, catches room lights (during dim screens) and finger marks.
- BROKE AFTER 9 Months. Supply short to Earth shield shuts down monitor if you try to plug in the touchscreen.
- WHEN IT BROKE NewEgg kicked the problem to the manufacturer (fair enough)
- WHEN IT BROKE the manufacturer's support email on their website was a broken link
- WHEN IT BROKE and manufacturer email address provided by NewEgg was ignored
- WHEN IT BROKE NewEgg promised that if the manufacturer was unresponsive they would assist me finding resolution. NewEgg has so far not responded to follow-up requests for assistance

Other Thoughts: I know of four of these monitors among my friends (Artemis rocks with them), and that means there has only been a 20% failure rate.
Given the support from the device, though, not buying from this company again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I've tested this monitor under Android x86 4.4-r2, Windows 7, 8.1, 10 TP and Linux. It works natively and flawlessly in all. It has more than sufficient edges for swiping. Response is fast and the panel is bright with nice colors. I didn't test color for accuracy but it looks beautiful to me. It is also very thin and despite of it's size, you can put it in your lap and grip it for driving games. Of course, no gyroscope but you could slap one on the back with an Arduino if you're savvy.
Buy one, you won't regret it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wish I bought the/a HDMI version. I could use multiples of these.

1 out of 5 eggsKilled My Computer

Pros: When it was working it was nice. Responsive, looked good at the right angles, and had a nice appeal.

Cons: The USB port killed my brand new $5K computer. Similar to Robert B's review I was fooled for a little while. Originally the screen worked fine. The DVI port was hard to fit any 3rd party cable into but other then that no issues. Then I noticed the Touch stopped working. Thought it was my USB hub had died. It smelt like it shorted out and had issues with it before so I dismissed it as that and swapped it out for an older transparent one. Soon as I plugged in the cable it sparked on the inside and started smoking. Thought it must be a bad cable. Ordered a new hub and cable.

So I get the new hub and cable. Set it all up and power it on. However the hub isn't detected. So I decide to plug my monitor directly into my PC's front USB port to see if it'll be recognized. Again I think the issue was an old cable and I now I'm thinking maybe the female-b port on my monitor device is unresponsive. Instantly the computer shuts off. Similar to a power surge my machine just goes dead. My motherboard's power/reset lights are flashing and I am coming to the realization I've just lost everything. The Holidays just wrapped up and I moved everything to this new raid system. I moved both my professional and personal stuff here so I could start the process of backing it up onto externals. I don't think I'll ever get to that part. It's New Years eve and I have no idea what I am going to do. The machine I've been building for almost 2 months is dead because of a USB one port on my touch screen... I worked so hard to build this machine. Work some much OT, put so much time into putting it together and getting software to run really smoothly for video editing and VFX work... all that gone and for nothing.

Thanks HannSpree, your quality product has set me back months of hard work and memories I'll never get back.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a value, pay a little more and get one that wont short out your machine.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat can I say but WOW!

Pros: Fast Responsive 10-point touch full 1080p HD. Tons of screen real estate. Excellent monitors

Cons: Sound speakers are a little muffled, but I have yet to find a monitor with built in speakers that were of any good quality.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 3 of these on sale with a free printer thrown in. Printers were OK not top of the line, but for the sale price alone, these monitors are well worth every cent.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not waste you time or $$$

Pros: It worked off and on for 1.5 Months. This is best pro I could think of.

Cons: I should have known better after seeing that so many people had problems with this monitor. Black screen off and on. My customer was ticked off. It was their 1st purchase from me and it made me look very bad. Newegg should not carry such inferior products.

Other Thoughts: Newegg should not carry such inferior products.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor on a great deal

Pros: Got this monitor in anticipation of getting my pc on a killer deal and started using it with my wife's laptop. Resolution is fantastic on both computers, which is not what I expected since I had not heard of Hanspree before. Screen, touch sensitivity are both great. Vibrant display.

Cons: Might as well not have built in speakers. Even with the output on the pc turned up and the output on the monitor turned up, I need to be in a quiet environment to hear anything. If somebody's watching tv, forget it. Also would have been nice if it came with a DVI considering standard price is almost $400.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, although if it hadn't been on a screamin' hot deal I wouldn't have grabbed it; as stated in the cons section, I was hoping for the speakers to actually work, and they don't. Touch works fantastic with w8 and my kids love having a gigantic tablet in the house. Pros outweigh the cons pretty well.

4 out of 5 eggsNice screen

Pros: The screen is clear and bright. Touch is responsive and works great with Windows 8.1. It has low power consumption and stays cool. I don't know if I like the kickstand but you can pick it up and use it like a tablet I suppose.

Cons: I first tried this with Vista and it worked but not very well. Also, I had the problem of the monitor just loosing power at the slightest bump. I literally had to tip it forward and it would come back up. For both PCs I tried it on. Things finally worked when plugged into the USB port on the front of my case. (all USB 2.0s)

Other Thoughts: Wide bezel. Also, when using Eyefinity with multi monitors the touch registered is spread out to the entire desktop. This means you won't hit the mark on the Hannspree but will land on the left or right monitor. Maybe with practice or recalibrating it could work. If each screen is it's own desktop then it works fine.
