3 out of 5 eggsSub-par Monitor

Pros: Decent color, HDMI, no dead pixels.

Cons: There's no height adjustment, which is a definite con unto itself, but with mediocre viewing angles the problem is amplified. You really have to set it precisely for where you generally sit away from it. If you deviate, you will notice. I expected darker, more crisp blacks from LED backlighting, but it looks like any ol' Plain-Jane to me.

Forget about the touch panel for your power button and adjustment controls. You have to have a light on in the room to see what you're doing and operate effectively. I/O button should be more sensitive, and light-up. There's a dim LED underneath the DELL logo to show when on, or on standby instead of the power button itself.

Stand also does not rotate and provides a flimsy base, definitely wouldn't expect it to survive a drop from any height if ever the event would occur moving it.

Other Thoughts: Would buy DELL again, but nothing that isn't a high end IPS model.

3 out of 5 eggsHDMI port + Windows 8 = bad combination

Pros: Good colors, bright, sharpness.

Cons: It worked fine for 6 months until I decided to upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 8. After my computer falls asleep this monitor does not wake up. Buttons stopped working and only unplugging from outlet helps to return it to working condition. After I connected it to my computer with DVI cable instead of HDMI, this problem disappeared. I have second monitor (Asus VE248H) and only 2 ports on my video card - DVI and HDMI, so I had to connect my Asus through HDMI. Apparently Asus does not have the same problem as Dell. (-1 egg)

Other Thoughts: It has sensor buttons controlled by firmware even to turn power on and off. So if software has a bug you can't turn it off. There is good reason why cars still have physical stick and pedals instead of sensor buttons. (-1 egg)

2 out of 5 eggsStand Issues

Pros: Cheap monitor with good picture quality

Cons: The stand is a fixed height and will not raise or lower, and it oes not have a vesa mount, so forget changing the stand.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to use these with a triple monitor stand, however, they will not fit :(

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Great color and brightness, all the basic controls you will need, and very sleek design. Great for 3 monitor display!

Cons: Unstable (they wobble), however since I use 3 of these for eyefinity, I have them leaning on each other so no more wobble.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: I bought two of these a few months ago on sale and they've been great ever since. Quick start-up, reliable, great contrast.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had bought a third one; I'm tired of running out of screen space! ;)

4 out of 5 eggsA few warts, but the price was right

Pros: -Bright
-Sharp
-no stuck pixels
-Once you have it up, the OSD is nice.

Cons: -a bit wobbly because of the awkward center pedestal mount with the circular base. Why is this so popular, a wide base is so much more stable!
-"Touch" controls are terrible. They're unlit you you'll need to grope around for them until you get the OSD up
-The power button is "touch". Why. Just Why.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy it again; price was very right for the size and specs, especially from a midrange manufacturer (Dell is not Samsung, but they're not AOC or anything, either).

3 out of 5 eggsPretty good monitor

Pros: Large Screen
High resolution
Available inputs
touch controls
great response
Price

Cons: Purchased 3 monitors, Sent one back today (RMA) due to screen randomly distorting at higher resolutions. would have to change resolution, then change it back. so far other two work great.
Light on front panel (under DELL logo) can not be turned off.
No VESA Mount
Not Hieight adjustable

Other Thoughts: Overall I'd say good monitor and would recommend them. i deducted one egg for my 1 of 3 monitors needing to be RMA'd. and One for all the other cons combined. Each are not really a bad thing, more of a preference. and all are in the description and knew this before ordering. (except light on front of monitor). The no VESA mount is a big one for me... but the price told me to deal with it. I did find a custom made bracket to give a VESA mount. Search the "bay".

Overall I like these monitors and hope my new one will be fine. they are great for 3 monitor setup. If needed I needed another monitor, I'd have little hesitation on purchasing one of these again.

4 out of 5 eggsBig Sexy Monitor

Pros: It's big sexy, and responsive. Love playing games on it. The design is sleek, and the settings interface is all touch sensitive, so it definitely feels and looks pretty cool.

Cons: 1.. Doesn't come with hdmi cable, or dvi cable... so I had to go online and buy a dvi cable... because the hdmi cable (one that I already owned) was doing a weird letterboxing thing... maybe it can be fixed through some settings somewhere... but I didn't find it...but getting a dvi-cable is an instant fix... so besides that.... No real complaints!

5 out of 5 eggsDell ST2421L Black 24"

Pros: Best monitor you can get for the money and I own a 27"and unless you have to have the best largest This 24" is 25% of the 27"and the picture says it all.

Cons: Not a 27"or 30" 2560 X 1440 monitor

Other Thoughts: I have to have the best but my mom still had 17"from 2000 but if you strive to be a good gamer get this 24"and when you build your back up PC Then get the big monitor. and a 24 " backup monitor Well is awsome.!
