4 out of 5 eggsDell U312HM Monitor (x2)

Pros: I like these monitors, they are pretty expensive though if you ca't find them when there is a sale. for 2 of them at one time I paid $379.98, but now one of them costs $499.95. I feel very lucky to have gotten them at the price they were when I bought them.

Cons: No HDMI and the borders are thick. The borders probably don't seem so thick at first... fooled me, but they aren't so bad if they are not right next to each other. The thickness isn't horrible, but I bought these before I knew about the thin border monitors. Still a very good monitor in the end...

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 20 months

Pros: Worked well, until it suddenly stopped working.

Cons: Screen suddenly went black. As far as I can tell, this monitor has no self diagnostic functions. It's either on, or it doesn't work at all.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than a 14" laptop display for sure!

Pros: The panel on this display is amazing. Compared to the 14" laptop display that I'm used to, it's a HUGE improvement. It's a good thing that I went with 23" instead of something bigger, as this monitor is pretty much the perfect size for my desk.

The colors and viewing angle look amazing, and I'm not able to find even a single dead pixel on the screen. The backlight is very even and there is almost no light bleed.

The OSD is easy to navigate and the ability to customize what the two top buttons do is a nice addition. I have them set to toggle between DVI and DP input.

Cons: One thing I noticed straight away is that the OSD buttons, and in particular the power button is right where I' usually grab the screen to adjust it. Also, the distance between the panel and the front of the bezel is larger than I'd expected, but still not too noticable.

The one thing this monitor needs is HDMI input.

Other Thoughts: Come on guys, it's 2014. We don't need VGA connections on out monitors anymore. Replace the VGA connection with an HDMI, and this monitor would be perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with the monitor

Pros: Fairly large at a decent price.
Very sharp text.
Decent build quality.

Cons: Only one digital input if you don't count DisplayPort. Would have much preferred a second DVI or HDMI.

Other Thoughts: I have a lower line 21.5" Dell monitor at work and notice the difference in color and sharpness and size on this one.

4 out of 5 eggsWell priced IPS monitor

Pros: > Good image quality (IPS)
> Versatile stand
> Intuitive and customizable On Screen Display

Cons: > No DP cable (but we get VGA cable?)
> I had bad image quality with VGA connection
> No HDMI

Other Thoughts: I really like the monitor, but I am disappointed that it lacks HDMI, it would be very useful to connect multiple devices. VGA is useless so I have to either buy DVI switch (DP are too expensive) which costs as much as ANOTHER monitor

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all...

Pros: -- Price (at $189, this is almost disposable)
-- Size (for general work, 23" is sufficient. I don't game or watch movies at my home office desk, where this is being used.)
-- Image Quality (for business use, and for the age of my ThinkPad, it suffices.)
-- Set Up (Easy, trouble free.)
-- It has protrait and landscape modes (which is great when you need to edit long documents)

Cons: -- No HDMI (real dumb)
-- No USB 3.0 (dumb and dumber)
-- No included Display Port cable (what? get rid of the analog cable and get serious)

Other Thoughts: It is what it is. If you want very high quality, with lightening fast response times, yadda, yadda, you're going to have to pay for it. It's a very nice monitor at its price point. For the casual user, this is a great product. However! Hopefully the newer models will have USB 3.0 and HDMI. Dell, you got to keep up.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks great

Pros: IPS panel looks great, no dead pixels, no visible edge bleed. Nice bonus is rotating from landscape to portrait mode.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: A really nice monitor for the price. Had seen a few bad reviews, but this monitor has none of those problems.

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor I ever had!

Pros: A quality monitor at an affordable price!

Cons: It could use an HDMI port, but I don't find any cons.
