4 out of 5 eggsnot bad..

Pros: the stand! its perfect xD

Cons: the color is not as "crisp" compared to my acer monitor.

Other Thoughts: for the complains about this monitor about the picture quality being bad, I guess I can say I know what you guys meant.

I've bought 3 of these locally from a closing Tech support center and they have 6 of these brand new never been touched that is just laying around and I bought 3 pcs of them for 140bucks (I know! its a steal!)

using them in eyefinity and when I put my Acer side by side with this, the main difference that I can say is the "Blue" color, on my Acer, blue does look like a true bright blue compared to this one blue looks darker and kinda look somewhat purple-ish blue?

Anyways the difference in the blue segment on color to me is neglectable since the quality of picture it puts out is pretty good, and when gaming (Black ops 2 and Need for Speed) side by side with the Acer the difference is minimal.

All I can say is if you are gonna use this for image editing (Photoshop) purposes, skip it and get something else to see colors (blue) right.

But for gaming this will suffice.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Playing Hawken at 1920x1080 with no ghosting.

The stand is incredibly well built.

Very deep colors, good contrast and saturation.

No dead pixels.

I love the ability to use the screen in portrait mode for long webpages and looking at a full page of a Word document.

Maybe I just haven't ordered computer parts in a long time, but I was impressed with the lack of styrofoam packaging. The box was a well thought out little piece of cardboard origami.

Cons: Like the other reviews have said, the viewing angles are bad, but why would you be looking at your computer monitor at a 30* angle anyway? Sit in front of the dang thing.

Other Thoughts: Not really sure what's up with the other highly negative reviews. I have had no problems with this monitor so far.

I can only assume that Dell's quality control isn't up to par on this model. My experience with it has been entirely positive.

2 out of 5 eggsSo-so build...horrid picture!

Pros: Decent stand/base...strong and easily adjustable.

Built in USB hub.

That's about it as far as pros go.

1 star earned.

Cons: Horrible picture quality. Much worse than some of the cheaper monitors I've used.

Very muted colors...none of them pop or look good.

Contrast ratio/black levels are non-existent...definitely not for movie watching or playing games. Black appears to be a more dark, light bleeding purple than anything.

Viewing angles? What viewing angles? Seriously though, anything other than viewing it head on dead center produces a bad picture.

However, it DOES work and could possibly be decent for maybe office work? It is not recommended though that you subject your employees, friends, or family to this monitor.

Monitor works as in it produces an image. 1 star.

Other Thoughts: Over all I'm only giving it two stars. One because the stand is nice and the USB hub is a nice addition. Second star is because the monitor actually works.

Three stars deducted from 5 star rating due to picture quality.

2 out of 5 eggsP Series Dell QC is Going Downhill...

Pros: "Cheap"

These use to be the "Professional" series that we bought for the office...they had nice stands, were adjustable and were just a really nice solid monitor.

Cons: I have bought 20+ of these over the last month and I have had to RMA two of them so far because of large areas on the screens that are bad...right of of the boxes no damage to the screen or packing(cardboard now for some reason). I have others that have small multicolored lines in them that can be seen at angles. The stands and casing for these "Professional" monitors look like cheap plastic...nothing like they use too...

Other Thoughts: I will not be buying any more of these.

3 out of 5 eggsHorrible viewing angles

Pros: Nice color for led tn panel.
Nice stand so you can pivot to portrait mode.
Price was right.

Cons: Horrible viewing angle. I bought 3 of these for portrait mode eyefinity and it fails epically. The left or right monitor dims a lot and I'm always shifting my head to find a good view. I had side monitors at an angle, but my display looks weird when not in a game or when leaning back to watch a video. Minus two stars.

Other Thoughts: Would have been nice to have HDMI or better yet display port (for eyefinity), but I knew this going in and for the price I can't complain.

Games do look great and have a nice feel.

non-eyefinity would probably be great, or non-portrait.

I decided I don't like eyefinity and I'll seels these three monitors and buy a single IPS 27"-30" monitor 1440P or greater.

also, 1080P doesn't work well for portrait. 1080 pixels wide is too narrow. 1440 should do the trick.

1 out of 5 eggsUnhappy

Pros: 0

Cons: I purchased 6 monitors and one was defective. Of course, I didn't save the right box, and NewEgg wouldn't take it back. NewEgg's invoice doesn't include all the #'s Dell needs to return the defective monitor. Can of course, you can't call and talk to anyone but a machine. I'm feeling really frustrated! Moral to the from Dell or SAVE ALL YOUR BOXES!!
