5 out of 5 eggsexcellent monitor

Pros: bright clear picture, no dead pixels
great stand, allows vertical, tilt, and rotational adjustment, and is sturdy

Cons: does not have HDMI port, not an issue for me

Other Thoughts: bought this as a aux monitor for my laptop in a docking station, wanted a stand that allowed for vertical, tilt, as well as tilt for portrait view and this delivered
picture is bright, no dead pixels, and easy to adjust
only has DVI and VGA port, which is the only ones available on my dock, used DVI with no problems

4 out of 5 eggsGreat features for the price

Pros: If you're involved in any line of government work, you see these monitors (or a size variation of them) day in, day out. Picked up two for a (personal) budget workstation build.

For the price offered here ($109 after MIR), you get a really nice monitor. Matte bezels (nothing screams CHEAP more than shiny, creaky black plastic), pivot built into the base, height adjustment, screen rotation. For me, the height adjustment alone is worth the lack of an HDMI input (you can buy an HDMI to DVI cable on the cheap here BTW).

Even though the box said it didn't include cables, BOTH my monitors came with power, DVI, VGA, and USB cables.

BOTH monitors were free of dead pixels.

OSD is excellent, very intuitive, with buttons easy to press.

Cons: Slight blacklight bleed in some areas. Very minimal, but there.

Colors are a bit 'washed out'. Overall picture is, well, just uninspiring. Don't expect to be wowed. MORE than adequate for CAD work.

Packaging (foam padding) was a adequate, but on the cheap size - I could see a rough delivery guy potentially causing some damage. Mine was delivered just fine however.

Short warranty period is risky.

Other Thoughts: As much as I like the look of these monitors (OFF), I wish I had waited to shop around more (Black Friday) for a larger size. I think I could have had a better deal.

5 out of 5 eggsInsanely bright

Pros: Nice monitor for the price. Super bright, hurt my eyes on first use!

Cons: Not enough to knock it an egg, because I knew these going into the purchase, but the glossy plastic gives a very cheap appearance.

OSD navigation isn't too bad, but the buttons are hard to press.

Other Thoughts: In/around black friday, definitely more tempting deals to be had, especially in larger sizes. I wish I had waited.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Quality for the price of a generic

Pros: - Picture quality is above average for a TN panel
- Calibrated well out of the box, and after a go with some professional calibration equipment, they look awesome
- Thin bezel
- Work fantastic in portrait orientation
- Fantastic for gaming, no ghosting and absolutely minimal input lag
- Comparable to monitors more than twice as much

Have a total of three of these as well as four 2211He panels, as well as a number of IPS displays including U2711, U3011, U2410, and three different Korean 1440p (Catleap, Auria, etc) displays throughout the house.

I have two of these setup with my gaming rig, using a U2711 in center with two 2211He on either side and then two of these (one on each end) with a Catleap as an extended vertical monitor above the 2711. Powered by four GTX680 4GB in quad-SLI, they are amazing. I switch out monitors constantly, but I really like these!

I am spoiled by IPS panels, but I have to say that for anyone who is looking for a solid gaming monitor without any quirks or issues, these are more than up to the task.

Cons: Well, not IPS, and I am still waiting for Mila Kunis to arrive to help me break in the panels, so to speak...

Other Thoughts: I'll be succinct:

These are fantastic displays for an incredible price, and I don't know why you are still reading and not checking out?

5 out of 5 eggsJust too perfect!

Pros: - Beautiful display!
- Brand new, this is why I wrote not as described, it's just too perfect.
- Not one dead pixel
- Absolutely no backlight bleed
- Not one scratch or scuff anywhere!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Throwing it into portrait mode is sometimes difficult due to how large the screen is, but that's expected. This is an absolutely amazing monitor.

2 out of 5 eggsScratched LCD

Pros: This is the 2nd one I ordered. No bad pixels. LCD was wrapped in plastic, however...

Cons: It's odd, but the top bezel was slightly apart on this one as well. I snapped it back together as before.

More importantly, the LCD was poorly packaged. The cables were loose in the box and the foam support for the LCD was not supporting it correctly. It appears the front of the display pushed up against a VGA cable, because there is a visible scratched abrasion on the display.

Other Thoughts: I am disappoint, but I'll see if the Iron Egg thing can help.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Arrived

Pros: Needed new monitors to replace my old one, and these were on sale. In all actuality, I wouldn't have bought these without reading a lot of reviews first. Either way, I have used these everyday in my programming classes for the past 2 months, and have grown to like them. I bought two for side by side use.

PROS:
-----------
Crisp color
Bright led back light
Preset color profiles
Side usb ports
Adjustable Stand
Ability to use wall mount
Comes with all cables

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
My Rig
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 Ghz
Gskill 16gb DDR3 1600
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
EVGA geforce gtx 460 1GB
Corsair H50
Corsair 650 Watt
2x Dell p2211h

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Viewing angles could be one for some people, but if your looking at the monitor straight on there is no issue. Even at minor angles there is no issue. If you go to the dell website and look at reviews some complain about that, but i don't see it to bad.
