4 out of 5 eggsGorgeous!

Pros: This monitor was actually much much better looking in person than I had expected. Virtually all glass front, great brightness and color. Very clean and clear!

Cons: Monitor doesnt rise and lower. It only tilts.
Knocked an egg off because it doesnt have an HDMI port. This is easily remedied with a dvi to hdmi cable but come on guys, this is 2016, hdmi isnt a big ask.

Other Thoughts: Not a big fan of external power bricks on monitors but so far it hasnt been an issue for this one.

Its perrrrdy!

4 out of 5 eggsvery sleek design

Pros: - The edge to edge glass design really helped with the visual connection while using a dual monitor setup.
- The response time of the monitor really helped while gaming especially with fps games. for the price range the response time is really good in my opinion.

Cons: - Although while trying to use a 'HDMI Switch' the monitors wouldn't recognise the switch as a device and would constantly go into a sleep mode ( even with energy saver mode off ).
- i have had trouble with the colour tints of one of the screens, the screen would have a yellow/orange tint to the whites , this was really evident while creating images in photoshop i would need to move the application across to the other monitor to get a true idea of what the image looked like.
-

Other Thoughts: - i would recommend this product to a friend, i am actually doing research at the moment thinking if its worth getting a third of the same monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Monitor

Pros: Clear Crisp Colors, Plenty of Depth - Deep Blacks, Easy to use Adjustment buttons located on the right side of the Monitor, Even Easier Adjustments via Dell Software

Cons: DVI Cable isn't included. Wha??? Gee Dell you couldn't kick in a DVI Cable? I'm not a fan of external power supplies, but I guess they do offer design benefits, lower power, weight, etc

Other Thoughts: All of my Monitors are Dell. Throughout the years they have been reliable, and have performed perfectly. I did own a Acer 17" LCD, which was reliable and had decent colors as well, no complaints. I needed a LED Widescreen for my home recording PC in my music room. I saw a Acer G6 Series G236HLBbd here on Newegg on sale, so I purchased it. What a mistake! Awful washed out colors, Brightness & contrast are overbearing. Really disappointed with it, tiny adjustment buttons difficult to use, wish I could have returned this dud. Anyway, I just had to replace it. The Dell S2240M came up on sale on NewEgg. This is the second Dell S2240M I own. The first was purchased a couple of years ago for my wife's PC. It's colors are just outstanding and works like a champ day in/day out. Rich deep colors and blacks. As soon as I installed on my Music PC, I was blown away. What a difference! They adjustment buttons are located on the Right Side, and though small are usable without being frustrating. Nice part is Dell has management software that will basically let you do the same adjustments via the application. I'm extremely happy with Monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsA good, basic, big enough monitor

Pros: Good price (even better if you got in on sale)

Cons: No Vesa mount
Didn't include a DVI cable
No HDMI input

None of them are big problems, but they add up to minus one egg.

4 out of 5 eggsIts great

Pros: Colors are great, the glossy screen makes everything look so much better than my old matte finish monitor. The design of it leaves a lot of bulk out so it has a nice sleek almost borderless bezel.

Cons: Where the inputs on the monitor are are kind of a tight fit, bulkier cables will not fit or have a VERY tight fit. I had ordered a Rosewill RCW-401 DVI cable and it took some force for it too fit because its such a beefy cable. Took 1 egg off for this because it's a decent con.

Other Thoughts: The buttons for on/off and config are kind of in a meh spot on the right side of the monitor but it's not enough of a paint to make it a con. I would recommend this all day long. I'll update this review if I have any troubles with it

5 out of 5 eggsBright and clear

Pros: Bright vivid color and an ease to set up.

Cons: To install the base you need to give it a strong push to lock in. The assembly sheet only shows picture and no text.

Other Thoughts: Newegg got it to my home in 2 days and I used standard shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid, Simple Monitors

Pros: Very solid monitors for the price.
*Crisp 1080p
*Great colors
*Nice and bright
*Relatively thin bezel-- and very unobtrusive
*Buttons feel nice
*Good for multimonitor setups
*Cheap cheap cheap-- I got them for less than $100 a piece, which is a great deal IMO

Cons: If you're looking for more features, this likely isn't your cup of tea. It has a relatively stripped down feature set-- no VESA, no HDMI.

Other Thoughts: I got two of these for gaming/CAD work/general use. They look very nice on my desk and have a pretty solid feeling to them. I'm looking at getting a third when I get a new GPU this fall-- I got exactly what I was expecting, and have zero regrets with this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this monitor.

Pros: I was trying to decide between this and an Acer 24" VA monitor.I wanted to try IPS but also wanted the bigger screen and faster response time of the Acer, plus I had heard about IPS's weak blacks and light bleed issues. I game a lot so had trepidation about whether this monitor would meet my needs. I'm also trying to get into game creation so I wanted something super clear.
I bought them both and found that this one does everything as good as the VA. Both monitors produce a solid black and neither has ANY light bleed.
Glossy screen gives an incredibly clear picture. 7MS GTG sounds really bad but I haven't had any issues with ghosting in MY games.
Ghosting issues with BluRay movies were mostly resolved by tweaking the settings.
Only draws like 15 watts of power, so that's good.
No speakers keeps the cost, power, and size down.
21.5 is big enough for almost anything. I play my games with a Xbox for Windows controller, usually sitting about 3-4 feet away. The only time it doesn't feel big enough is when the Acer is sitting next to it, but since this satisfies all my needs, I am currently using the Acer as a display for my PS3 so that's not really an issue.

Cons: No HDMI (no speakers and only 1080P, don't need HDMI) or VESA, but for the price, that's perfectly fine.
Not sure why a 1080P monitor would even ship with a VGA cable but the world rarely makes sense.

Other Thoughts: If I had been able to preview these monitors before I bought them, I would have bought two of these. My higher spec games are Diablo 3, Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed 4 (all run on Max settings) and Thief (high) and this is fast enough for those games without question... And AC4 looks so amazing! I'm playing through it again just because it looks so much better now.
